Interview with a Vampire that I only recently found out about which is crazy cuz i love his audiobooks. His voice is incredible and can keep me rapt for hours. Or relax me and keep me fast asleep. He obviously blessed Frank Muller with his rich timber!!!

Ok old sport, let me tell you something before I get into the details of my not liking this novel, the views expressed are highly personal and not to be taken seriously. I did not like this book and I regret to have stumbled upon it (on my reading list of studying the classics) , for the novel pretends to be great while its not. In the starting chapters nothing happens and only after 3 or 4 chapters we get into the story, the author drags the story in order to accentuate the suspense and mystery behind great Gatsby and the symbols uses are overamplified( remember this novel was a disaster while it was first published)I mean they are clearly evident and the way they are presented look to me as if the author is saying to a child about the symbols(ex the blue big eyes LOL). Secondly it is one of those love stories were the lovers lament and grieve over their love which the society doesn’t accept - Sorry not my genre at all. Many unnecessary characters (although all novels have them) which distract you from the main plot. The story became famous because it was in the academics of many colleges and they had to read it and by default it had become great. The ending (I skipped the middle part of the novel) was really blunt and silly , how could anyone just come into the TheGreatGatsby’s house and shoot him. And Gatsby is the most unrealistic character I had ever seen or read, the overly sacrificing and living only to please Daisy ( flowery man indeed). There are many more but I aint got the time and effort to describe all the trivialities and hope you will find it amusing rather than something snarky and sarcastic .

Having said that there is a distinction between a good novel and great novel, a good novel may sell in millions and a great novel on the other hand may fade away in the background. You may not like these books in the same manner as I did not like The Great Gatsby, afterall we are humans , Our opinions differ.
