Indie games gives me hope in Gaming Industry We are definitely going for a Renaissance with Banger Indie Titles!!

There's so many other cool games, be it already released or yet upcoming, that are worth talking about. Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, Soulstice, Blud, Cookie Cutter, Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip, Zet Zillions, Genokids, Kings of Hell (warning, that one's a bit spicy), Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo, The Mermaid's Tongue/The Mermaid Mask, Loco Motive, Enenra, Harold Halibut, Resistor, My Familiair, Fight'n Rage, GRIME, No Straight Roads... So much good stuff beyond what I could think of mentioning. Let's spread word on them all and support, by both praise and criticism alike, to help out such projects as much as possible.

@@jurtheorc8117 cassette beasts for me has been the absolute confirmation of the fact that no matter how great and beloved, any big game producer company can be overthrown even when it comes to their ace. The current state of pokemon doesn't even deserve to be compared to cassette beasts.

Ok? I mean I love both games but “using stock sound effects” isn’t an argument. I think all indie games should be loved by different people distinguishing on quality (unless if it’s a scam or garten of banban) if it’s fun and compelling and gives someone joy, that’s all that matters. The indie scene is NOT a competition and it never was nor should it be, it’s about showing your ideas to the world and shouldn’t be a popularity contest, otherwise you might as well just be tossed with the AAA slop we had since the late 2010s…

Cave Story will forever be one of the best games ever made, in my opinion. And 4th ending will forever be canon in my heart.

It’s not like Xbox has any current gen exclusives, so they’re only moving their playerbase up to current gen which’ll happen eventually anyway. Also Sony got animal well as a current gen only title on PS+ day one.

Anyways if you want some estimates; in the announcement post section they stated it sold over hundred thousands copies in 10 days, so the solo-developer mino made about 700k after taxes and other cuts. By now they must have made over one million in revenue.

Bold of you to assume people see nintendo as a "saint". Yeah, they make good games, but the company itself is HEAVILY hated by the gaming community. Except for a few die-hard fanboys here and there, but that's to be expected.

Literally every Nintendo fan absolutely hates Nintendo as a company. They're #1 anti-consumer. If you ever see anyone loving Nintendo it is purely because of their games which have really good quality and most importantly, FUN.

Nintendo has a lot of haters. Only hardcore nintendo fans defends their certain actions. Steam gets glazed and sucked off a lot tho you are right about that.

Valve is usually extremely pro-consumer tho. What other company releases a game console with a video on their official channel on how to take it apart? Don't even get me started on those cool refund policies

I’ve heard good things about both of them but haven’t played either of them. LKBG looks more interesting and accessible to me so I’ll check it out when I get a chance ^^
