I've played nine souls and hallow knight and i fully agree with you I made mistakes in my fist go around i started over and dam its so dam good the enthusis on balance i love this fore the writing but its still a little brother to hollow knight the true king of the metroidvaina hill
I played Hello neighbor when it was new, and was baffled at how bad it was, even further baffled by the reception for it. It's a broken game, and even when everything is running smoothly, it isn't fun.
1:28 i think this is actually based on Pixel Chix! They were these toy houses with digital screens attached and a little pixeleated girl living inside you could interact with. Never had one as a kid but that layout is really familiar.
Personally i found the dialogue and story to be of sufficient amount in nine sols-- which i understand for some of us feels like a lot of unneeded tomatoey and lattice-- to be the thing that deepen my understanding of characters and as a result adds to my motivation. To me its the juicy meat i earn after a long fought battle against a tough boss. I enjoy the challenge , but to me the struggle of beating a strong enemy can be justified by both the joy you get from progressing in the battle/winning and the unfolding of a rich lore and story. which is why I couldn't enjoy souls game as much as i did with Sekiro or Nioh for example where more care and love were added to the story and character background
the matpat one is funny because it says "i analysed hello neighbor frame by frame" which is what tinybuild tagged him about. "@matpatGT is going to enjoy disecting this frame by frame!"
