Key Points:
1) Pin the barbell tightly against the ‘shelf’ of your upper back.
2) Establish a stable tripod foot.
3) Generate external rotation torque at the hips (Verbal cue: squeeze your glutes or spread the floor)
4) Create a rigid trunk by taking a big breath and holding it tight. (Verbal cue: big breath & core tight)
5) Hip hinge to engage the posterior-chain. (Verbal cue: hips back)
Remain balanced by keeping the bar over the mid-foot during the entire squat.
6) Hips and chest rise at the same rate on the ascent.
