2:25:25 watch at least 60 seconds starting here - I’ll bet you don’t stop. Absolutely unbelievable. The visuals of watching it live literally wrap up at timelapse speed. And evolve to into that monster. Terrible and incredible and sad absolutely mind blowing. I’m glad to have so many options to support those impacted. ❤🙏

I just got home from boarding up the windows of Greenfield Hospital. Pray for the families of Greenfield who lost loved ones. The amount of devastation so close to home was overwhelming and unreal. It looked like a movie set.

The greenfield tornado is in fact an ef5 tornado by all standards and if you disagree please feel free to tell me why? Mayfield was arguably and ef5 but was rated high end ef4 but this here had excess winds of 220+ mph

There wasn't an emergency called but there was a PDS warning issued, and all the storm chasers, and those that do the coverage, broadcast their warnings. So plenty of warnings went out

@@mirin9851 2:55:54 just saying...And the very next day a tornado emergency went out for an F1...Probably because they knew they f'd up the day prior by missing to call the emergency for the most devestating tornado of the year so far and went extra secure...says it all.

@@GLD157 i thought the logic the NWS uses for TOR-E's was ''is there a tornado headed towards a populated area?'' and ''does the tornado seem unusually powerful?'' and you don't need both, you could have a weak tornado heading for downtown OKC and it could be a TOR-E or you could have a small town and a powerful tornado and still get a TOR-E. it's not a perfect system but it's better than saying everything is a TOR-E because that'd ruin the power a TOR-E holds. issue with this is of course that we have no clue how strong a tornado is as it's ongoing

You have to also remember that the warnings are being issued by different weather service offices. It may be some are more strict with their assigning of tornados. Certainly we’ve seen some offices that give tornado warning that even confuse Max why they are being warned, while some are obvious but don’t get warned until they’re actually spotted by emergency response. These are being issued by humans, humans mess up. They also had 6 overlapping tornado warnings with 4 ongoing tornados that were in different levels of their life cycles. For an office that likely only has 3-4 people this was probably a difficult situation to assess (also why there are several overlapping warnings that weren’t condensed or canceled once the storm had passed).

UPDATE: The truck drivers that were inside their semis that got flipped over in Nevada, IA are reportedly doing OK. Thank goodness, that looked extremely violent and it was gut wrenching to watch it live.

They confirmed an EF1 tornado near Kaukauna, WI -they did not tornado warn the storm and no sirens were sounded.

When the Greenfield one hit the town I was 4 blocks from the path at work tornado shelter he heard nothing but I knew something was gonna happen because I was told at a cast store in my town by 2 storm chasers it was 45 minutes away near red oak I honing to work 45 min south exactly in front of its path

I was in marquette county wisconsin, thankfully never saw any funnel clouds, but the winds tore some flags right from poles, trees were damaged by the winds thankfully no hail. But we were under a warning for quite a bit. Also, as someone born and raised in Wisconsin, sometimes even I can't pronounce the names lol
