As someone who was an Amazon delivery driver for an impressive 2 days, I can concur that, yes, we were not allowed to piss during our shifts, that you most likely won't receive any type of disability if mauled by a dog while on shift, and that you'll need to disregard every safety rule you were taught in training if you want to be able to deliver 250+ packages during your shift. PS I was fired for being straight.
can confirm, you have one small window to piss while you're loading up your van and don't get another til your 30 min lunch break. Sliced my ankle and hands several times, they penalize you if you go in reverse (the phone they give you is tracking everything) and there's no accountability with whether a delivery was successful. I did it for 3 months, and by the the end of it was chucking people's packages into their yards when they wouldn't answer AND YET, the thing that got me fired was I couldn't pass a drug test for weed lol
@@christianeriksen7907 i think it's because reversing in one of their huge vans is kinda tricky and they wanted to reduce the chance of people getting into accidents EVENTHO they all came with cameras. tbf, these things came back scratched and busted all the time (tree branches especially did a number on them) so I kinda get it but it was just annoying how they'd read off how many times you went in reverse the next day, that you accelerated too fast or turned too fast or hit the brakes too fast. do it too many times and theyd fire you, but as far as whether a package got delivered they never said a word.
Worked at a factory and the pallets of stuff that came from China all had bare foot prints in the dust like they had to be 85 lbs to not bust through it walking on top of a box of coffee
We used to find notes in chinese that our managers took and shredded. Found a couple of newspaper clippings just before covid started that, in retrospect, were probably a warning. Makeshift shivs, bloody rags, weird bugs. A cool tape cutter that I still use. Shit was wild yo.
Irrelevant because I’m late. Worked at a warehouse we’d get intermodal containers full of boxes from china. Found a half box of Chinese cigs, dead cat, I broken razor blade with tape and cloth at the end of lot of money and IDs get lost on those things
Just common sense. Never trust human ideas. On either side, Amazon is productive and a force for good and Amazon is suffering and slavery for others in different countries. DUH!!!!!!
Worked at amazon twice. Its a warehouse job....so it sucked. Every warehouse job sucks. The amazon work conditions thing gets sensationalized because of how big the company is and the fact that they will literally hire anybody. They also don't want you to work there very long, so the expectations are just high enough to push you out the door eventually but the pay is just high enough to bring new suckers in. Its a cool job for 18 bucks an hour for a kid with no work experience to do for a summer. But that's about it. Oh and also they make you sign a legal document stating you're gay before you can actually take the gig.
Yea I worked a bunch of manual labor jobs in the south and it was actually one of the easiest I’ve had. The only problem is the overtime during peak tbh. It’s a decent job to get in shape. They have the best and brightest working overtime thinking up ways to make the job so easy a monkey could do it. Honestly a good gig if they didn’t like to randomly fire you at the first sign of not needing so many workers.
the majority of warehouse jobs are an in & out situation. i was a full time employee at one, and i was so tired of teaching new people (basically temps) how to do their tasks. and, i'll never forget how the supplies we needed would ALWAYS run out. warehouse jobs are trash, and no one should hope to have a future working for one.
You can’t ever call them out on it either because then you unlocked a long winded explanation that moves the goalposts anyway. Sums up like “you can benefit from a system while not supporting it, you use rOaDs” even tho I asked what was necessary about owning all Mac products and drinking Starbucks everyday.
"Bitcoin is mostly propped up by retail investors" Meanwhile like 12 whales own 90% of all the coins.... maybe this is also why he lost a year's salary in the span of weeks gambling on coins
Surprised Adam and Stav had never heard of Kim Dotcom. He's the Mega Upload (now Mega) guy. Also, funnily, he changed his name to that AFTER the bubble burst lmfao
@@postychan8466 I WILL @ you.... but not to argue, to say wow nice subs. Keith Woods, Lil Incognito and TMBS. Didn't think there were many who watched such a range of stuff
That dude was hilarious. I loved when he would post photos of him on a yacht with a bunch of whores and fat women would try to insult him. The damn entertainment lobby wanted the US military to go and arrest him because so many people were hosting full movies and tv on his website and generally pirating through it.
i work for the post office in Canada and every time they drive by they ask if we're hiring and i have to tell them to apply in the fall to get on during peak
Needs that comic where the peasant says, "we should improve society somewhat" and then the little guy with the s#1t eating grin pops out of the well to say, "AND YET YOU PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY. HOW CURIOUS. I AM VERY INTELLIGENT."
@@fastestdino2 that’s why you buy diamonds strictly from the poorest parts of Africa. Someone needs to suffer for making men pay so much money for a stupid glass rock.
What’s hilarious is that the people that talk about wanting to boycott Amazon are the exact people that never actually will. Only an addict can’t shut the fuck up about trying to quit I like Amazon and I haven’t bought shit from them since Christmas, because I don’t need the dopamine rush of unboxing a trinket every 3 business days to cope with my pathetically unstimulating life
bro I haven't bought anything off amazon in like 8 or 9 years now, it's not even boycotting for me I just prefer ebay. I guess it's harder to boycott AWS tho
I don't buy products from multiple companies. Even though the difference I make is less than negligible, it helps me sleep at night. Just sounds like a bunch of lazy people with way more money than most of us rationalizing how lazy and weak willed they are. If anyone can afford to not buy items from large corporations it's these guys.
So rather than working to make any real difference, you’re content making easy BS ‘changes’ to your inherently corporation reliant lifestyle in order to “sleep at night” and feel better about yourself… cool dude, you definitely aren’t the selfish & lazy one 🤣 impressive rational hahaha
Is this "home invasion simulator"? You just methodically stab members of a family 40 times each until you eventually have to fight the dad who has a gun.
I don’t want to be that dude that makes things worse for the drivers. But I thank the dude that didn’t bother ringing the doorbell @ midnight for a signature and just left $1000+ of hard drives which customer service later cancelled when I tried to do the right thing and tell them it was delivered. So remember, it’s Amazon’s awesome ethics system, save money abusing people, but the time needed to actually figure out if $1000+ of goods was lost/stolen/etc is just the cost of doing business… but “you’re just not going to not use Amazon.” I try to source things from other places… but sometimes they are the best option.
Rotflol. "The employees they pay extra to shill for the company." What year does he think this is... 1960? No dude. Those are the employees that get to keep their shitty job.
Good luck explaining that to anyone tho. I tried to explain McDonald’s very low returns yet people really think they are making huge profits for every item they sell. “It’s costs them like 6 cents to make that burger” yet they have to pay an unskilled “fight for 15” employee to press 2 buttons first. That’s another thing. These evil Scrooge mcduck fast food CEOs sure are nice for not automating their cashiers 15 years ago like they wanted to. Good luck explaining that to the Emilys too. Btw I’m gay
@@dolphdangles1322 you shouldn’t be against minimum wage. Lack of minimum wage protection is one of the many things stopping the USA from becoming a developed nation. Fast food cashiers are primarily automated now. CEOs may have wanted to do it 15 years ago, but the technology wasn’t scalable or affordable (or actually even very good, remember touch screens in 2005??). But as soon as it became technically and financially possible, it happened. Sounds like you’ve got a boot in your mouth.
I drive a truck that gets crappy gas mileage and with gas at $4 per gallon it’s actually cheaper for me to buy random things from Amazon than drive myself to the store to buy them, never mind the time savings.
They call him " Tony" in a really low low ,slow drawn out voice!! & Your line is. "5$ is Like a thousand to me!, If you no pay, I kill you " !!! I used to Hang out at this huge, old school pool hall with two floors, the owners name was Tony, & one day he realized I was asking for a loan at 8.30 am so I could gamble it away in his mini- casino - Lucky Lines, Cherry Blaster fruit machines, lmao those were the days, about 1990 I kill you
Amazon …. Good pay but depending on your position (I’ve been a manager and before a Quality Assurance Associate) anything below you don’t get paid enough for what you do, but it’s the industry that’s warehouse work. 😂😂😂
Weird tangent but I’d love Nick to watch the 1997 version of berserk or read the manga n explain it to Adam n Stav. It’s already a big ass series of what the fuck that just gets wilder n wilder but his lack of sanity would make it even better. He’d probably side with Griffith too.
