@@chivi- Meh, like the boogeyman champ, there are also champs that you are naturally good at. And for a lot of peeps katarina is natural. Same with akali or gragas
@@rosegirard8993 Exactly, akali came easy for me when I picked her up. Katarina not so much. I’ve tried qiyana and zed too and qiyana didn’t feel too hard, but I can’t figure zed out either.
I play a decent amount of ganggang, and the thing I found playing him is that its all about control and head games. Making them think im going to last hit my barrel so they go for the auto on it, then you sprint them down place another barrel close the gap and just do crazy high burst on them
I love to do that too! People underestimate how much dmg you can do with 2 passive procs Also love trolling dumb adcs who hit my barrel instantly after lvl 7 it's like this is your reward for trying to hit my barrel
You know, gankplank was the first champ I played top lane, and on one hand, I stuck at him, on the other he is funny and I always have a blast. Loved the vid, and maybe I'll catch a stream someday
as a gangplank player, at the start of my journey i wasn't very good with the barrels, but the endorphin rush from shooting a mage or a support for 500 damage made me stay and learn the ways of a pirate.
As a person that loved this champ so much, I committed 200 games to being ok enough to played ranked, and am now a GP mid one trick this vibes with me hard
"That" champion for me is riven. I've played the game for 7 years and have at least a baseline understanding of every champion just from arams or messing around with friends. I have played 55 games of riven and have not one once.

as a gp main i can say. this was entertaining at the very least also if u really wanna learn gp, all u do is farm for like 15-20 min dont fight be4 then
Yea... Noticing that is the only real option... Only time he feels good is very early when he is kinda on par, and later when he has enough dmg to actually make his stuff worth while. Even then it takes sooo much more effort to pull off and with how quick you die, I hardly ever have time to make anything work out with him ...
Mine just are champs that require me to have free camera movement. I just suck without camera Semi-locked, moving it independantly is impossible for me
Honestly same. I do not comprehend how people can have it fully unlocked and just center their character with their key and NOT let it go while casting skills. I just don't have the brain power to do that, pressing a key to center my champion would already require me to focus on it and I just can't aaoaolakfkfozjf9zf everything else would shut down. I just have it semi-locked and when needed I quickly unlock it fully and go back to lock it. This is fine.
For the laning phase you should just use the q to secure the cannon/minions and start using the barrels once you level the q and have sheen as your furst item, and you can take advantage of your barrels move speed/ slow to avoid ganks or chase. You need to auto each minion once or twice if you can't one shot them yet.

GP is one of my fave champs, I'm really proud that I'm proficient enough at him for that "highest elo person in your friend group" to ask me for advice on playing him.
i find this video quite surprising as when i was learning GP i still found it easy to consistently do well on him and thought the champion was pretty easy to understand

Now I’m not the greatest gangplank in the world but if there’s one thing that I’ve noticed on Skooches gameplay in general and ESPECIALLY GANGPLANK is he has quickcast with Indicators on. Regular quickcast for me has improved my gameplay on Gangplank dramatically. I’m still ass at it but it makes a huge difference.
Mine is gragas weirdly enough. The 1st game I played gragas jg and I got counter jungled the whole game by the whole enemy team. Since that day I just can't win using him even when I tried to really learn him.
Try going tanky Gp top, build Trinity, Athennas chains, steel cap boots, titanic hydra, Steraks, Warmog. A lot of hp which turns into ad after steraks and it synergies with titanic pretty well. Dont focus on hiting E Q combos just use the barrels as a MS boost and passive reset. You become really annoying to deal with while still being a threat to squishies.
GP is a champion, I think people, think is hard. He's really not as hard as you think. To win lane. Press Q. To win the team fights. Set up a barrel in a bush, and then barrel combo to one shot enemy team. That's basic barrel combos. A skilled GP will know how to one part, barrels, weave passive autos in, and know how to use W to get out of CC at the correct time, space correctly with barrels. But after 10 games with with GP you should be able to get atleast some.of these things down. I personally think alot of people have trouble playing Sion correctly. He seems easy, but is actually alot harder than you think. He doesn't really have a single good matchup in lane. If you build tank, or get countered by ever anti-tank item possible, and if you go AD you are squishy as hell and you die. And so many people don't know how to play both Tank and AD.
Pro-tip, if your fighitng a melee champ, always get E first. It's the ultimate catch-22. If they aim the barrel, you can auto it immediately after a full first second they hit it to blow it up instantly. If they don't aim the barrel, that means they are either aiming for CS which you can then punish them for free with flameblade, then hit the barrel, flameblade again. OR they are aiming for you, in which case once again, flameblade, run to barrel, auto it, flameblade them again. And run. Sauce: 7 Years Gangplank player. CUS ON THIS SHIP WE SETTLE THINGS ACCORDING TO DECREE; WHEN IN DOUBT OF PUNISHMENT, GANGPLANK IT SHALL BE.
Skooch I’m not even kidding. You can probably Q spam someone out of lane for 95% of GP matches. And even if you int if you auto casters once then barrel Q, you will always get the bonus gold. GP is not difficult at all and with your ult, you can easily have pressure anywhere
As someone who loves playing the hardest champs I can find (I main ASol, Azir, and Gangplank) I can say gangplank is defiantly not the most difficult. Powder Keg is arguably the most difficult individual ability to use in League, the rest of his kit is so unreally strong. Because of just how much gold he generates, you’re almost never actually behind. Still fun to play though.

It's fascinating how people perceive difficulty in different ways. I've always considered new GP something of an avarege difficulty, but boy give me Vladimir and, as simplistic as he may be, I just can't get it right.
The barrels feel so weak because they just are, they have no bonus AD ratios, they start at 80 damage, and go up by just 25 per rank. they gave it 40% armor ignore but that really just makes it harder for tanks to disregard.
You never seen anybody complain more about AA ranges more than us gp mains. But I can’t complain cause we one shot people every game if you don’t shoot the barrel. Love the content skooch wish you the best on your next cursed champ game.
I've always wanted to be good at Shaco. I started jungle as a Rengar main and then wanted to try Shaco. Love the art for him and his style of gameplay, but now I stick with Evelynn and Udyr
A-Sol...I dont know if you either need six brains to play the giant space dragon or have a head thats as empty as space itself but I always feel like a total dunce when I touch him.
In top lane: sit on your barrels like a b!tch and punish csing Connect 2 barrels through the top bush,shoot the first and connect the third to the second barrel wherever you want. This is called a triple part. Funnel in as many passives as you can, always pick ignite
I got gankplank in an ARAM a while back and it was hilarious. Either the enemy team focused on taking out my barrels, and I STILL sometimes got them, or they focused on my team, and whoops there goes half their health lol
After watching this, I'm thinking his difficulty with GP might be psychological. Like he's having issues cause he's already given up mentally, and preemptively believes he's going to lose.
@@itsyourguyskye I just have trouble with nailing the timing of his abilities, and since I don't get a lot of chances to play *anything but support* as a support main. And when I do, and I try to play Ekko, I go like 0/5.
Plankgang main here. Don't play him mid, it's the worst lane to learn him on. Also use your barrels, like you don't even have to time them or anything, when you're in a fight just throw them down to cause fear, then eventually worry about barrel timings
I have played most champions and can perform decently on them sometimes, with the exception of literally any assassin. Katarina, Talon, Akali, Evelynn & such, for some reason I am completely unable to play them, and playing against them is also the reason I avoid playing mid (and jungle for the most part, except when autofilled)
I love gp btw he has 2 ignites he can use at once technically 3 with reset and his passive one does more dmg than the summoner spell so if tou know how to procc it as much as possible you will bully em. Sadly he is more late game than kayle but ya get used to it and use the enemy underestimating you

Learning to play gp into a sett is hell. To my knowledge, only the people who play him all the time will have a good time against a sett, cause it's such a pain in the ass to fight him as a melee champ, not even including the micromanaging
My boogyman is Sylas. Not matter who I watch, the build I run etc. etc., even on urf I do terribly. The second is Azir, I had an 8 game winstreak on Ranked with him and averaged 2/11. Only winning because Silver rank and ulting half the enemy team into my team while dying in the process to win every team fight.
if you think you are bad at gp go grasp triforce buiser build gp from s8 after the crit update gp is 1 build and 1 build only with 5 mythics only dusk, prowlers, triforce, shieldbow and divine, with full glass canon build if you go sheen mythic you dont go er otherwise the build is: er into prowlers into ldr if you are vs tank collector 3rd if vs squishies then go ldr into ie or you can do manamune instead of collector, the hardest bit is try to survive the early game if you did and got 2 crit items at lvl 13 you can setup teamfight and win if not you lose the game and people blame you for playing a hard champion, he became weak early champion but has more scaling cuz of his passive and w now scales more, but you lost 30 hp at lvl 1 so its hard to survive.

I play Gp for like 50 games before I became any good, but when that ult hit just right and you get an elder and a baron in the same game, oooohhh baby I'm addicted. But for the life of me I can't play Zoe, I'm decent enough at hitting shits but I feel like when I pick Zoe the enemy just insta lock Akali and I lose for no reason.
I don't think she's easy at all, It's easy to misscalculate her skills. Everything in her kit is about precision, you should become a lot better by time :D
Camille definitely has a skill floor but once you reach it she is freelo. Her damage is so good that you don’t need to get much better at her until the high ranks. It took my roughly 25 games to get used to her and I started popping off with her since then. I can blind pick her into almost anything and do relatively well. She is definitely a champ you want to play if you have played league for a while but NOT one to pick up if this is your first or second season.
Its funny you mention this because vars who even has Camille as a trauma champ says she's hard to pick up. As much as we all hate to say it, she is a difficult champ that is strong af. Honestly if you can't grasp her kit, you will have a rough time. I play a lot jugs and tanks, so for me. I can never get the diver/slayer playstyle down since I am not good at skirmishes with squishy characters since I can't recognize when I am losing a fight
@@uknlogic2924 You play a lot of jugs and Cam loses vs a lot of the jugs, so you won't have issues on the matchup knowledge. My advice is play AGGRESSIVELY all the time until you get used to it. Forget Grasp. Go PTA/Conq and start Q and trade a lot even before level 2.
I only play ARAM but mine is Evelynn, no matter how much I try to play her and how many games of experience I get in general, I just cannot preform well with her at all.
katarina used to be my curse. barely ever won but after a week i pushed through it playing a full tank build and winning with it and slowly getting used to her kit and timings.
hahaha i also build shieldbow second as gp just for the survvability i am still too bad to play without it will change the build when i get better with GP hitting barrels in fights and avoiding getting attack but for now its good to learn i guess
