I'm a Mizzou fan as I grew up in CoMo, so it's great to see someone doing content for Mizzou...thank you! All in all, I'm with you on the 7-5 record, which I think a lot of fans would accept without too much issue. But if we lose games that we're supposed to win (which has been typical Mizzou fashion), I can understand people getting a bit restless. Of course, the recruiting class for 2022 is looking amazing, so I see great things on the horizon!
I think 5-7 or 6-6 is a reasonable floor for this team but would be disappointing, which Ik is setting myself up for heartbreak being a Mizzou fan. I think they could easily rattle off 8 or 9 wins tho and really surprise some people. Either way can’t wait for the season to start. M-I-Z
Looking at it, it does seem like they could go 9-3, realistically though, 7-5 would be a great season considering its only Drinkz second year. They always do seem to drop a couple unexpected ones.
Mizzou has a VERY favorable schedule. It’s really on the players. This should be an 7 win schedule with hard work and buy-in from everyone in the organization.
Incredible video! Only thing I disagree on is I think you underestimate Drink and Bazelak a little. He only got 3 spring practices last year and had to run a super simple offense. Year two of his system in place, no less than 8-4.
I think Mizzou and Kentucky will each win their home game against Florida, lose to Georgia, and beat all the other East teams except each other. That means the winner of their head-to-head will be likely to finish 2nd in the East with an outside shot at 10 wins. And I'm having a tough time picking this game. It might be the best game in the SEC that won't determine a division winner in 2021.
Mizzou always field's a competitive team but much like UGA they seem to either get in their own way or drop game's they shouldn't . I am a big fan of Mizzou's uniforms and imo think they have some of the best uni's in D1 . I just hope my Noles can win 8 or 9 games this season . Right now I have FSU potentially losing 5 games . The Noles '22 recruiting class is already nasty on paper so hopefully from that class lacing up the Noles get back to playing FSU football #GoNoles#Tribe
Agreed their uniforms are top 2 or 3 in the nation. Unfortunately for them, uniforms don’t win games, because they kind of suck this year. They’ll be extremely good next year tho I think
Call me crazy, but I think this is going to be one of those unexpectedly good years. 10-2 or 11-1. Reason being, the offense was a hybrid of Dooleys playbook mixed in with wrinkles of Drink due to the shutdown of practices. This year is a full offseason of drinks playbook with versatile running backs, and some big bodied receivers (Chism 6-5, Dove 6-3, Hester 6-3) and Mookie Cooper and Dominic Lovett as speed mismatches out of the slot. The quarterback play will define the season. A lot of teams on Mizzou’s schedule have a new QB as well. Towards the back end of the season Bazelak started clicking with Chism, I think playbook opens up this year a bit more. Defense will finally see Dline Zou back. Healthy Kobe Whiteside and Trajan Jeffcoat will be a healthy tandem. Just need another bookend coming off the edge to take advantage, I’m thinking a freshman surprises, I’m not sure who. I think this defensive secondary might be one of the fastest and biggest Mizzou has had in a while. The Tulsa transfers and Rakestraw will be formidable with anyone, Martez Manual IQ is great and only getting better, and Jalani Speed should translate if he can stay healthy. Wildcard is Blaze Aldrich replacing Bolton’s production. Kick return and Punt return will go to Mookie and Dominic Lovett, I think Drink puts speed back on special teams.
As many others have said, I am a huge Mizzou fan and I don’t see a lot of great mizzou content creators on any platforms so to have a amazing content creator like you on here is great for the mizzou community. I love watching all of your mizzou videos but also some of your other videos are pretty interesting too.
I think Mizzou will be the surprise team this year. I think they will win a few games people expect them to lose and I think they will win the ones they should win. It is time for a break-out season.
I believe Mizzou will go 9-3 this year, and I won't be shocked if they go 10-2. Either way I think they finish 2nd in the SEC East. Connor Bazelak is gonna have a breakout year. I watched his all his throws from last year. Even with losses against Florida and Georgia he made some great throws. Veteran NFL QB type throws. I'm bullish on Mizzou's defense and the offense this year with the additions they've added on both sides and Steve Wilks as DC, plus year two in Drinks offense. Mizzou gonna turn a lot of heads and surprise people this year, but not me. I see the wave coming
Come on man! With the Drink we will be 9-3. Drink is the bomb as a coach. Conor B is one of the best QB in the country and the best QB in Missouri history. Yes I am a homer
9-4 is what I expect though 8-5 would be ok. Fears would be that we find out Drinkwitz OC capabilities arent quite SEC caliber or that Wilks doesnt meld well in the SEC. I think Elijah Young may see time as well unless I missed an injury report. Taj Butts, if hes ready and the roster is correct on his size, gives us a RB dynamic we ve not see in CoMO in some time. Hopefully receiver corp is where it needs to be. I see Devin Nicholson stepping up big this year and the DB corp being its strongest since Pig Jones was here. What I like is Drinkwitzes problem solving abilities.
Mizzou is a wild card team and I can see them make it to a bowl game for sure. If they can beat UGA and UF skies the limit for this team. I wish they will bring back the border games between them and Illinois.
I think you're pretty well right on the money. Either 7-5 or 8-4 season, depending on who we aren't supposed to beat and do win against as well as who we're supposed to win against and don't succeed. Any given game is a toss up in recent years it feels like
You can’t label BO a very average coach and then not correlate that to UK’s run vs Mizzou. GP owned UK, Stoops owned Odom but that’s over with Drink in charge.
Look, the players are buying in to what coach is selling. Improved coaching on defense is the key. Coach Drinkwitz is doing exactly what Nick Saban is doing by hiring assistant with NFL experience. I believe you will not see those missed tackles and blown assignments on D like we have seen in the past. The Tulsa DB should help with the experience they bring to the table. Good luck Tigers. In this conference you are going to need it. Boston College is a trap game. Be careful Tigers !!!
Hey man, I like your videos ! I’ve been watching them a fair bit. If I may be so bold to make a gentle Suggestion though? The clickbait titles make it seem like you don’t have faith in the quality of your content. Your content is more than good enough and it doesn’t need clickbait titles to standout. It’s kind of a turn off I think for a lot of fans because it stands in contrast to your good insight and may make people think it’s a hot take video. But I’m no place to Make suggestions. I don’t have a RU-vid channel. Just a thought, though. Good luck to Your Tigers this year!
UNDEFEATED! I can't find a game on the schedule that they could realistically lose, but ONLY IF they pick a uniform and ditch the white uniforms and fugly white helmets. PS: I would subscribe, but your titles are pure clickbait, with ridiculous exaggeration. We're interested in the stories of these players, teams, and coaches, and that's more than interesting enough. Good luck.
As an Arkansas fan, I’m too curious to avoid asking this question. Do Missouri fans actually view Arkansas as a rival? I can say that Arkansas fans generally (if not, entirely) don’t see Missouri as a rival due to it obviously being forced.
I’m a huge mizzou fan I’ve always dreamed of working at the games or just being apart of them in any way I can. Plug me in bro introduce me to whoever you were introduced to
Mizzou fan from and I was thinking 8-4/7-5 on this schedule. Could they pull a 2007 and pick up wins they have no business picking up for a run? Sure, it is a favorable schedule, but my gut is telling me 7-5 is correct as we still recover from the quagmire that Odom made in Columbia.
8-4 is a realistic objective, give that a 50-50 chance, otherwise 7-5. three body bag games tigers did not get last year and with drink more comfortable in his second year eight becomes his lucky number.
Honestly I see the floor being 7-5 but ceiling probably 10-2 as I still don’t think they’ll beat A&M or Georgia but that Florida game could be a possible upset
Mizzou won't stand a chance versus A&M. It might stay close for a while, but the Aggies talent and depth will allow them to pull away by the end for at least a two TD win. As an Arkansas fan, I am actually surprised to hear a Tiger fan pick the Hogs to win. Yes, Mizzou has won five straight, but four of those have been very close. I can tell you for a fact, most Razorback fans have been, at best, annoyed that the SEC has tried to force this rivalry on us with Mizzou. The Battleline Rivlary. Whoopee. But now? We're more than a little pissed off, and WAY more than a little sick and tired of losing to team we feel we should be beating more than 50% of the time. Yes...Arkansas will beat Missouri this year. Oh...and if Drinkwitz is successful at Mizzou, do not expect to keep him for long.
Don't get playing a none conf roadie like Boston College .. If you win its a win vs BC and personally I know that's a good win but nationally it dosnt move needle so just see more negative than positive possibilities.. just go win it
As a Gators fan, I will say that Mizzou has the potential to beat Florida this year. It’s in Columbia and Florida has struggled there every year they’ve played there since Mizzou joined the SEC.
You Mizzou folks don't seem to have much respect for Arkansas. Just gleaning this from the comments here and on Saturday Down South website. I do hope you do well though. Drinkwitz looks like a future star in the coaching ranks.
The advantage Missouri has against Georgia is that it is the week after they play Florida. If Florida wins a close game Georgia could be vulnerable for the upset.
Dumb - what happened last year has nothing to do with this year. Mizzou is better and will heat Kentucky , Tennessee, South Carolina & Arkansas 8-10 wins
