Hey folks, I thought some of you might be interested in taking a look around our little homestead in North Idaho. We bought this little farm house and 20 acres in 2010 and have been building on it since then.
When most people need something done they start looking for someone to hire. But my mind just doen'st work that way. We do just about everything ourselves from growing our own food to felling trees, logging, all kinds of construction and even running the powerwagon on waste vegitable oil!
In this VLOG we'll take a look around the land. Then we'll go over some remodeling we're doing with rustic old barn wood and rough cut lumber that we milled ourselves. If you're on Patreon, you'll have seen some of this back when we borrowed the portable sawmill from a neighbor, dropped some big pines and fir trees, and sawed the boards. They've been drying in the barn sinse then and they're ready to use.
We're right in the middle of a big remodel of the kitchen and front deck/living space. We'll eventually build an outdoor kitchen and area to do all the canning and preserving of the veggies from the garden.
We're in farm country here and our closest neighbor is a few miles down the road. We've got both whitetail deer and mule deer on the place. We've also seen moose, elk, black bears, and all kinds of small game. We'll also talk about some of the stuff we're doing for wildlife habitat.
Don't forget to subscribe to the channel. We're uploading a new video each week that features one of the following topics: archery, bowhunting, bow building, survival skills, bushcraft, self reliance, primitive skills, primitive bows, hunting, camping, fishing, and a lot more!
