The Heartbreaking Story of Jung Sung Il from The Glory 

Even though he doesn't have much screentime in The Glory he was one of the characters I was most enamored with. His acting and expressions really drew me in!

Let’s give around of applause to his sister for staying strong with him!

I hope he gets more attention and roles in the industry. He is such a talented actor. This man's eye expressions speaks a thousand words and not many actors can do that. His character in The Glory is very memorable and I am glad he was chosen for this role. So heart breaking to hear his struggles in his early years. Seems like the challenges he had in his life made him the humble and down to earth person he is. Wishing him much success in the acting world!

I looked him up after I finished watching the show and was genuinely shocked he didn't have more credits. He honestly became one of my favorite characters and I wasn't expecting that. He played his role brilliantly and I'm sure there will be many more now that Glory has blown up as much as it has.

The fact that Jung Sung was so thoughtful when he was a child, being afraid to take advantage of the neighbors for the little thing like water, really shows that he is a really kind and considerate soul. His sister is a strong wonderful soul. His mama is so lucky!

Jung Sung Il came from humble beginnings. Good on him for making this far. I was drawn to his character the moment I started watching him on the Glory, he is very memorable and he's one of few Korean actors who can do the "micro and facial expression" I've seen so far. His face says everything without uttering a word.

May he and his family have a happy and blessed life. He is a brilliant actor. He grips my attention in The Glory.

This story breaks my heart. He was my favorite character and actor in the glory. I hope to see him star in more dramas and movies. His sister is amazing so many ways but mostly I’m surprised she encouraged him to pursue the arts which is not as practical per se. That’s so amazing and supportive.

Jung sung il is talented actor. He is represented by one of the biggest actor agency in South Korea, Key east. Only super talented actors picked by this agency.

I love his scar that makes him even more interesting, and human.

Tbh, all the cast of this tv series is absolutely good actors/actress. They each portrayed their respective characters unbelievably unreal. All the villains were so crazy & would really hate in reality & all the victim roles made ur heart so hurt. The screen writer wrote it like a real life story, and who ever put together all these casts did a great job. Surely this tv series will be dubbed if not will be copied in other countries. It was amazing, truly loves it.👏

what a story of his life im impressed and could also relate because when i was young also i need to wake up early 4:00 am to sell salt in a market for my school allowance untill i went to college as a working student working at the same time studying,,,,thats 8:06 life you see what jung sung il did also ...being poor could really motivate you to study harder you see he is gaining popularity now and me finished my education and a retired prof

I remember my life like his growing up. Life was so hard. I practically raised my brother although I was too young to cook. I'm so proud and happy for him to reach so far and wish him continued prosperity ❤

He was amazing in The Glory. He portrayed his character well and was so captivating..!! I watched The Glory because of him and the lead actress Song Hye Kyo. They have great chemistry onscreen. I hope they would do a drama together in the future..!!

His story alone can be made into a kdrama

This actor has such a bright future and must have worked so hard. He can probably play good and bad and gray-area characters. He has a distinct and identifiable look unlike many of the young actors and actresses who the industry demands to have the same stylized look.

He absolutely won me over,he was amazing in The Glory his acting and portraying a dad and a loving at that.I think he truly loved his wife in the series and he gave her chance to tell the truth and he would have stood by her but as we all know she didn’t.she was just the devil😮Bravo

When he described his dad as a "free spirit", my gut instinct told me his dad was a hobo. There is no such thing as a "free spirit" when you have kids.

WoW, i wish him enough, enough food, enough security, enough money & enough Love. I have seen sad stories like this in many areas of South Korea, government welfare could use a good over haul but despite "No Help", he & his Sister battled through, i am in awe. Having seen The Frozen Flower, i almost fell off my chair, i was used to a very timid Korea but in all entertainment, comes the glamour of Gayness because it makes money & not because the industry cares about LGBT+ community. Hope to see Jung Sung Il with bigger roles but i hope he stays true to himself & not the industry, well done.

My first glance on this actor Sung Jung 11 is they have similarity with SongJoongki. They are ka alook like especially in his younger years of Sung Jung ll. Even in their names the difference is letter o and u only. So as to Chemistry they are perfect with SHK.

While watching Glory I only watched his scenes and the old lady scenes and stewardess scenes.
