I just pre-ordered your new book "Hitchhiking With Prophets". I was on the fence about which one I wanted to get, because I've heard very good things about some of your other books, but I figured I'd start with the latest. It was also the best deal with the preorder price, so that made the choice a little easier. Can't wait to dig into it. I've really been enjoying your content since finding your channel, so I'm sure I'll enjoy the book. I'm currently reading Bonhoeffer's Cost of Discipleship, so it'll be next in line after I finish that. So, tough act to follow!

The word “cleave” that you use is confusing to me, since it means to split. (As in cleavage).

The KJV uses “cleave” in its older meaning of “stick to.” Since that translation still influences the word choice in many wedding services, I used it here. But you’re correct: we use the word differently today.

That's because they changed the meaning which they had no authorization to do so, the King James which brother Bird gave us is the correct definition.
