To get better at Freediving, you need to do Freediving training. But equally important to have a proper recovery, otherwise you can risk overtraining. Typically in a pool, Freedivers do too much CO2 tolerance training and hard hypoxic training. This kind of Freediving training requires a lot of recovery time. If you want to train often in the pool then mainly do easy breath holds, focusing on your Freediving techniques.

I think one way to avoid these negative effects of training is to take freediving as a hobby, a recreational water adventure rather than a competition. you relax, you enjoy, you dont stress your mind and body for something you want to achieve.
