This walk shows the true route of Newcastles town wall or town defences. This is a scheduled ancient monument which protected the medieval centre of newcastle. The city has now outgrown its original wall and parts of this were destroyed including a number of the gateways into the town. What is left of the wall is shown within this video as well as the route the wall took throughout the city.
