Does dr wolfula reuse the same clips of the live action character moving? When you look at it it looks like the same few gestures and the lip syncing is off. I’m not sure cuz the shots of dr wolfula cut to fast to tell.

The Hills Has Eyes was inspired by the case or "Sawney" Bean. Wes Craven read about him as a highway man, who smoked or picked victims for cannibalism, and his clan was said to be so inbred they no longer looked human. So the story is inspired by true events that have become more of an urban legend.

Vampire In Brooklyn was probably the first Wes Craven movie I saw. I wasn't yet into horror but loved Eddie Murphy so I gave it a go. It's a fun film with a different take on vampires than we usually see. I think it's interesting because Wes wanted to stretch out and make a comedy movie as he was tired of being seen as just a horror guy, while Eddie wanted to stretch out and make a horror movie as he was sick of being seen as just a comedy guy. So it's this odd compromise between the 2. It's neither man's best work, but it's got some great moments and I really enjoyed it. I watched it again a year or so ago after properly getting into horror and it still holds up.

The only characters audiences feel for in this film is Cassandra the blind woman, Ruby, and Bobby. The rest of the cast members deserved to get killed off by Mars. It's hard to have empathy for the protagonist characters who are complete jokes period and the joke is them getting killed off by the antagonistic characters. So refreshing would rather root for the bad guys than the good guys in these films.

If a film like this was going to work, it should have been centered around Bobby Jr. & Ruby, and their respective arcs in terms of coming to grips with the atrocities their respective families committed against each other in 1977. Picture this: the two of them are still trying to bus their way to a competition with their bike club, only to wind up running out of fuel in the middle of nowhere due to trying to be too careful with transporting the “superfuel” they’re carrying (miscalculating drive times, distances, how long their tank can last, etc.) to power said bikes. Then, upon attempting to reach a town/gas station pinpointed on their map as the closest such location via the bikes they have, Bluto-alone, wandering the desert a lonely, broken, vengeful man from the destruction of his family and Ruby’s betrayal-spies them from afar and, recognizing Bobby Jr. & Ruby, is sent over the edge of his mad grief and starts picking members of the group off. How? Start with him making such a recognition from a hiding spot in the nearby hills (hah!), then, when everyone’s set to go on their expedition, uses the superfuel to blow up the bus with an arrow shot-killing a couple of people and leaving the rest with the just the food and supplies they’ve already packed and the middling regular fuel tanks of their bikes-fuel they can’t just burn all at once at high speed if they hope to safely reach the town. Then, after a day or two of traveling and supplies running low, two more group members are sent to search for water in a nearby rock structure-only to have their skulls bashed against said rocks by Bluto. Panicking about their missing friends, the remaining group members trace the footprints and mini-markers they left all the way to the rock face, only for Bluto to scare the bejeezus out of them, making a narrow escape thanks to the dog fighting Bluto off. Now, with fuel, food, and morale running out, the group is forced to set up camp in the middle of the desert and sleep the night there due to finding no other natural shelters to work with. All the while up until this point, Bobby Jr. & Ruby have been laying their past demons bare with each other in a very love-hate fashion, one that starts off with intense mistrust and evolves into something much stronger as they come to see each other for who they really are and help each other come to terms with those fateful attacks from all those years ago, with different members of the group providing different sounding boards for the two of them from the perspective of how they handle problems in their own lives (the blind girl, the black couple, etc.), even as said members have a harder time looking past everyone’s superficial differences as things progress from bad to worse. Now, on this night, two more remaining group members, drained and sleep-deprived and hallucinating from hunger while on guard duty, are viciously slashed by Bluto with a knife stolen from one of the bikers, and-now with the element of surprise on his side-kidnaps the dog, forcing the now-bonded Bobby Jr. & Ruby to chase after him to rescue the pup, all the way to a mineshaft on the outskirts of the town, and to confront him-and their past-head-on. There, Ruby manages to convince Bluto to let the pooch go-only for Bluto to instead grab Ruby and attempt to rape her as revenge for turning on their clan, as well as to finally satiate his long-repressed desire for carrying on the family line via incest that Bobby Jr. helped wreck the first time around. Seeing this, and at the end of his rope from his hunger, exhaustion, & long-running trauma, Bobby Jr. sees red, wrestles away the tomahawk Bluto’s been threatening Ruby with, and tag-teams him with Ruby in the slice-mugging of a lifetime, punctuated with one last simultaneous chop to the brain. Now, with the nightmare finally over and having forgiven each other for everything their respective families have done to each other, Bobby Jr., Ruby, & the dog all huddle close for comfort, even as the wail of a sheriff’s car is heard in the distance. What do you guys all think? (Sorry for the long post-got a little carried away. XD)
@christmashake8968
@christmashake8968 4 года назад
Maybe. Or perhaps Bluto hits her with a rock and knocks her out before whisking her away during the penultimate tent attack, prompting Bobby & the dog to give chase all the way to the mineshaft, where the final battle takes place-only difference being that, while pleading with Bluto to let Ruby go, Bobby can only watch as Bluto laughs in his face and begins to molest her. This prompts the dog to lunge, which gives Ruby a chance to escape Bluto’s clutches-but also gives Bluto an opportunity to take the dog hostage instead, biting him and attempting to eat the pooch alive in front of Bobby and Ruby. Incensed, Bobby & Ruby then proceed to beat & hack Bluto to pieces with his dropped hatchet, ending the terror.
