Welcome back. This is part two and it's time to delve into the meat of the studio's output: Saturday morning. Also, I will touch on Scooby Doo's reign on Saturday mornings. But there would be one cartoon that would cement them to Saturday morning dominance. What was this cartoon? Well, find out this and more on this episode of the Cartoon Curator.

I remembered watching some of Hanna Berbera series like Wacky Races,The Peril of Penwelope Pitstop, Dastardly & Muttley in Their Flying Machines, Fender Bender 500, Yogi's Treasure Hunt and Wacky Race reboot 2017. I do wished that Hanna Berbera have finally release Fender Bender 500, Yogi's Treasure Hunt and Wacky Race reboot 2017 in complete DVD collection at last.

Me too. Especially Fender Bender 500 but a lot of the Hanna Barbera cartoons weren't put in DVD collections. some are lost through time. this is why cartoons has to be preserved at all cost

This is making me miss when Boomerang was all reruns of HB classics.

ahhh i remember. the very early days of Cartoon Network. i currently viewed Boomerang the other day. it is very pale in comparision to its initial debut. it had tons of variety. now, that isn't the case.

Scooby Doo n Scooby Dum were also the Reunion of the Legendary Dynamic Voiceover Duo of The Late, Great Heavyweights Daws Butler and Don Messick I Garontee!
@thecartooncurator
@thecartooncurator 2 года назад
indeed. Daws Butler was probably the most important voiceover actor ever in Hanna Barbera Studios. Don Messick wasn't a slouch either but Daws is iconic and some don't really realize that.

@@thecartooncurator Awesome! You're so welcome, and there is so much fun and inspiration in every family, action-packed or clever chase. Especially with my ideas and working on my own animated shows and movies for the entire family.

Hanna Barbera did that Fantastic Four show show in the late 60s; I think that's before super friends.

first of, thank you for watching by the way. yes, it was a part of Hanna Barbera's World of Super Adventure. the thing about Hanna Barbera was their range was large. they have a lot of obscure cartoons barely no one remembers. like the Partridge Family cartoon. this is why i tried to make sure i mentioned the Happy Days cartoons due to how obscure it might have been. it was important to mention a lot of the stuff that wasn't unknown

I wasn't aware Stringer Belle had such an avid interest/passion for cartoons. No forty degree, grey days in this colorful world, right Stringer?!! Absolute, phenomenal work on this series. Thank you.

I remember Yogi's Treasure Hunt back in the 90's when I was a kid and I love this show. I really wished that the series is final release on complete DVD at last like the other Hanna Berbera series like Wacky Races, The Peril of Penelope Pitstop and Dick Dastary and Muttley in their Flying Machine. Because they have lots of old Yogi's Treasure Hunt video and I think the series deserve to on DVD at last.

I've been amassing a HB collection of cartoons for years now... I watched most of them as a kid on Cartoon Network reruns. I had no idea they were "old" shows, as in from the 70s and before. But My favorites are Flintstones, Jetons, Top Cat, Jony Quest, Atom Ant/Secret Squirrel Show, Herculoids, Wacky Races (and its spinoffs), and Scooby-Doo (duh!) and Josie and the Pussycats! Out of all the Scooby clones, Josie was my favorite, with Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels a close second, altho I also really liked Clue Club, as generic as it was. But then again, I've watched nearly everything they made since 1958 so, I enjoy them all for what they are.

rest in peace indeed. her contribution left many loving cartoons to this day. that alone warrants her respect. she was a great lady indeed. Courage the Cowardly Dog was one of my favorites ever. Always considered it a successor to Scooby Doo. and they would actually get an animated movie together which would further prove it

Thank you so much. I pride myself in accuracy as much as I can and never taking any shortcuts. That's important. I rather give my viewers the whole truth instead of giving them something short. I love animation as much as you do and subscribers on here do as well. it's an honor to do this contnet

Scooby Doo is iconic. No arguments here. His status is well deserved. This canine held down an entire Saturday morning for decades. no other character ever did that

I really hated scrappy doo , which we soon re named Crappy doo to fit our British sense of humour, now I watch reruns of Hanna Barbara cartoons I find having children a great excuse although my wife will often point out the kids have gone out yet I’m still watching the cartoons of my youth.
