From the inhuman dexterity shown in the house of caravan speedrun, to the absolute goofiness of Mr Krabs overdoses on ketamine, Charlie has truly come a long way.
It's lame lol make your own don't copy someone else. Even simpler music. How dumb. Should of just hired him to make it. Way better voice, makes it worth it alone.
@@Hexra_eah but just because he said it doesn’t mean it is, because he tried to make it like a summoning salt it still might’ve fell more like emp lemon. Personally I don’t feel like it because empLemon goes into so much detail about absolutely everything and makes the craziest comparison. But that guy felt it was more emplemon, I feel like it’s a mix. The Emp Lemon type story telling but summoning salt topic and way of telling. Kinda like a mix of each. But it reminds me a lot of Emplemon too.
It was probably extremely educational, seeing all the ways players are able to break your game, prompting you to think about how you could safeguard against it
I just wanted to thank you Charlie. The LASO challenge was the thing that sparked my streaming journey. I probably would have never decided to start streaming if it wasn’t for you. And these challenges were so fun to participate in! And even though I had to watch the beginning cutscene hundreds of times, even though I had to get 20 minutes in a run just to hit a invisible barrier in the police chase that wasnt there before, even though those two weeks were some of the most miserable days of my life. Iam so happy that I got to participate in something like this, and Im so happy that I got to meet so many awesome people. I can’t wait to see what you’ll do next. Thank you Charlie.
Yeah, I was wondering if he was gonna get contacted by the devs cause he turned a game that maybe 100 people max would buy in bundles into a must have game for a group of people.
SummoningSalt truly made a name for himself by allowing so many creators get inspired by his style of editing and writing. This video was a blast to watch, just seeing and hearing the amalgmation of both Charlie's and SummoningSalt's style mix into an amazing video
@@animuchan6136 Summoning Salt, an internet video game speedrun historian. He's who Charlie said this video is inspired by. He said he's planning to make a "Summoning Salt style video" for every speedrun challenge he makes
i believe the heavy check marking system made this all the more better, because it lead to more skill crafting and glitch searching. Which only made the competition more fierce. I can't wait for the next speedrun challenge.
It's sweet that Charlie put in this much effort into documenting a speedrun challenge that he threw down for all to enter. I can only hope the next speedrun challenge he announces will be wilder than the last.
Weegee really is a real one winning by a second after zach but he still kept going and did not stop until the time is over This is a certified amok moment right here
Honestly Charlie should make a channel doing more of these history of speedrun records. Maybe call it something random like "Summoning Pepper", that'd be pretty cool I would watch that.
Charlie putting a $10,000 bounty on a game no one plays is like people selling pictures of monkeys for 10x that price, but you can actually respect this
He really is, I caught him at around hour 23 of his crazy long stream and was captivated by his persistence. Man's really put in the hours on that shit and I hope to compete alongside him in the next one 👏🫡
the fact that you put out those bounties and motivate such events is frking awesome. I loved to watch this video, even though I am not a speedrunner myself at all.
This was wicked. Around the 2nd day or so, I discovered on my own the launch stuff with getting off the bike near objects. I didn't discover fisherman skip or anything, but I did report this in the discord where the community was sharing info, and it didn't seem like anyone had heard of the launch thing yet. It's not super hard to discover though and I'm sure plenty others did on their own as well. If I helped at all though then I'm happy. Excited for the next challenge.
I cannot stretch how much I needed more of this. It's like I'm a meth-head chained up to the side of the bed and yanking the chain connecting my ankle to the bedframe just to finally get one more snort of the crystal meth that is AMOK speedrunning. Please Charlie please continue this series I'm begging.
I fucking love this. Charlie has been my favorite person for like 10 years now.. I love who he has become and how he treats people and creates these opportunities and just a wonderful community overall. I can't wait to see what comes next everyday.
It says you joined 9 years ago so how can he be your favorite for 10 years I'm so devastated by this lie I need to call off the wedding I'm so upset I thought you were the one
Really love how this video condenses the overall speedrunning process and shows how world records isn't only an iterative process but one that requires a community of people
this is a whole different style of content and honestly, I loved it, charlie did really well and its good how he tried something different, I would love to see more of this style of content (I'd imagine other people would as well)
There is so much deep lore and history to every single speed running game! It's so fascinating learning about all this, you can really feel Charlie's love of this!
This is literally a masterpiece of youtube content. This whole saga completely intrigued me from the start. I have my ups and downs with ur content sometimes just based on preference but i have to give it to you on this one…brilliant👏
watching a video from charlie that isn't him sitting in front of his camera talking or clips from his stream feels surreal, it's been forever since he's posted a video with production quality lol I love it
Im not a speed run kinda guy. I don't watch or play them, unless its one of your goofy speedruns. But this video is absolutely fantastic. Seeing names immortalized on the internet by a community like speedrunners is so amazing. It's like witnessing a little bit of history. Thank you for all your hard work, Charlie
Amok Runner is a play on "running amok" (uh-MUCK), a common phrase that I'm sure you've heard before. Like when things are getting crazy and people are running wild, they're running amok.
It's an analytical video on a challenge he created, voiced by Cr1tikal, in the raunchiest style only he could do it in. This is going to be magnificent.
Charlie managed to create an entirely online streaming event. This was such a perfect proof of concept and I cant wait for it to get bigger and better with every iteration.
It's awesome how Penguinz really participates in the gaming community. Giving professional speed-runners an opportunity at a community meet up for a few weeks and some Chad tier cash prizes.
Damn bro. I’m seriously loving this Moistcritikal bounty hunting era/phase. Everybody’s having so much fun man. Charlie’s literally, all hands down, the greatest content creator to ever exist 😂😭💪🏾💪🏾🔥🙏🏾
Love watching Charlie react to that one dudes speed running documentaries and he nailed that format + made it his own challenge like the halo one. Super dope video
Awesome to see my clip at the start of a penguinz0 video. The game was kind of hot garbage. But, the community's shared suffering was comforting. Clarification, this wasn't the first launch found. There were some crane skip launches (mostly driving up the wall and leaving the car). That's where I learned the map trick. I hadn't seen anyone using the bike for launches, though later I saw a clip of someone doing a small one without an NPC at a bridge.
Imagine being the guy who made Amok Runner and having your game going from slow and sloggy and having literally one player to having an extremely competitive, dedicated and lively gameplay and speedrun community practically overnight.
