Sir Christopher Lee did not die. He completed life.

The man was 92 when they filmed The Hobbit and he was still so dedicated. We'll never see an actor like that again in our lifetime.

Fun fact: Cristopher Lee is the only person in LotR movie crew who met and had a conversation with J.R.R. Tolkien

Hearing an 'old boy' retell his stories....the old boy knows he's coming to the end, he wants to share all that he is before he is no more. It takes patience and humility to allow the old chap to recount things which were important to him. The more I see of Peter Jackson the more I like him.

Serving in WWII, fighting all over the world, on land, sea and air, then joining Military Intelligence and later to SAS, then starting a whole new career as an acclaimed thespian and a world renowned movie star, not to mention a side career as a heavy metal musician... What a life Sir Christopher Lee lived, and he he is still going strong...

My dad had a friend in England who said he was taking out the rubbish on Christmas Eve and it was foggy and dark and Christopher lee came out of the fog and said "merry Christmas" and left.

Look at how everyone listens to him telling stories. He feels like an old warlord from ancient times sharing his tales and everybody just want every second of it. Just wonderful.

He was born to play Saruman, even though he dreamed of playing Gandalf; but I think him being playing Saruman was enough for him to last for a life time until he crossed over to the undying lands. If anyone ever deserved the title of 'Greatest Actor of All Time', it was him. And he was, to me. Rest in Peace.

He read the complete lord of the rings every year, decades before he even got the part of Saruman. He stealth killed 5 German soldiers on Jersey when they occupied it.

Peter Jackson should direct a biopic of Sir Christopher Lee’s life. It’d be more epic than the Lord of the Rings

Sir Christopher Lee is one of the most remarkable men alive. If another director ever wants to reboot the Middle-earth franchise, it will be an instant failure without the presence of this incredible actor. Sir Lee _is_ Saruman.

This makes me so happy. I know there was some tension between Peter and Christopher when his scene was cut out from The Return of The King. It's good to see them become friends again before Christopher's passing.

For Ian McKellen it was revisiting the shorter part of Gandalf the Grey, which he preferred, but for Christopher Lee it was creating something we hadn't seen: Saruman before he became bad, the person Gandalf was so happy to see.

Lee is a badass. May he have many more years in this earth.

I was employed as one of the Elves, in the Hobbit back in 2011 when travelling with a friend in a camper through New Zealand. It was a fantastic, fantastic experience and I will never forget it. For just a few scenes in the trilogy, I personally had to go on set for over 6 months, so you get an idea of just how much work goes into it all! I remember, particularly, meeting the gentleman in the glasses (who starts talking at 1:03) when in the canteen one day. We only spoke a few sentences, but he had an amazing calmness around him and was so humble considering his role as principal cameraman in both LOTR and The Hobbit. He sadly passed away a couple of years later, I believe

Christopher Lee , what a man, what a sport. You can see when he was filming in London how much he slowed down. To came back at that stage of his life to do this part. I mean what a man, God Bless Him. Rest In Peace. A true legend.

My great-uncle is 92 or 93, and he's so spry. He goes bowling at least once a week. It's crazy. Sir Christopher Lee seemed like such a great man. He gave us Dracula, Saruman and Count Dooku. Such a legend. May he rest in peace 🥺

That man is one of the people who I can truly say actually LIVED life. What a human being. I always wanted to meet him, but closest I ever got was an e-mail from him. Incredibly well-spoken and dignified even in texting. Enjoy your rest, friend. Know that you live on in our minds, our hearts and our spirits for all eternity. It's never "goodbye", it's "we'll see you later" :)

When he walked onto the set in “those damned clothes” my heart jumped and I thought “why aren’t they all bowing to him?”! That’s the sign of a great actor, when you believe the character immediately and even without thinking. RIP Christopher Lee.

I would have given literally my life savings to have had a thirty minute lunch with Christopher Lee. He seemed like a nice guy to be around, he could Read an airplane instruction manual in that voice and somehow he would have my full attention. The man was an absolute badass. He met Tolkien, and served in WWII and corrected Jackson on the way a man sounded when he gets stabbed.

Christopher Lee did more in one lifetime than any of us could have in 5: he was a war hero, a real-life 007, Dracula, a Sith Lord, an OG Wizard, a Bond villain, and a metal singer. I dare you to try to get 1/3 of that on your CV before you kick the bucket. You can't.

I'm so glad that after the fight they had with the cinema cut of Return of the King, they worked together again.

The day my friend and his grandmother took me to see the third Hobbit movie, she said gravely, "That's his last film," and she launched into a lengthy anecdote of Sir Christopher's film legacy from Dracula to Dooku. I said, "Wow, if he died tomorrow, he'd still have immortal praise." He died a little while after that and one of my greatest regrets is that I never got a chance to sit and listen to his stories. I fucking love this guy, and I want to feel sad about him dying, but he lived 93 years so it makes me happy instead. The guy lived such a long life. I can't possibly be sad about it. What a legend.

Lee was 90 years old When he filmed Hobbits, Such a legend. He also got blessings from Tolkein himself to play Gandalf but for his age he couldn't he was almost 80 during LOTR but anyway Saruman's role was also phenomnal.

Imagine sitting there listening to his stories fo hours. God I wish he'd do audio books while still alive. There should be a law for people with such powerful and magnificent voices to record audio books.

It's funny how Christipher Lee played characters that were villains that were once good. Count Dooku who was once a Jedi and Saruman once a middle-earth White Wizard to a follower of Sauron. He played protagonists and antagonists so impressively. I miss the Legend. Played two of my favourite villains

Such a powerhouse performer and we will never again see or hear anything new from him because he’s gone now. To have met him in person would have been the thrill of a lifetime. Pain is temporary but film is forever. My youngest son has now really invested in watching them with me for the first time.

Alongside Peter Cushing, Sir Christopher is one of my most beloved actors. A classic gentleman, a silver screen legend, and a master of his craft. I would have loved to have been able to spend an evening with him, talking over dinner, and just enjoying the stories he’d tell. RIP Sir Christopher.

I really wanted to hear Christopher's story about the war. I love meeting people who have done so much in life. You can learn so much and draw so much inspiration. Lee did it all! What a guy!

It breaks my heart when I hear stories where they just can’t make the trip to wherever the destination is. It’s just another reminder of our mortality and the hourglass has been set. It happened to my father. He wanted to go on a vacation one last time, but his energy was gone.
