He is weak in HOD 2. in HOD 1 he had more health and needed more bullet damage, was stronger and faster and in his final attack threw the fireballs upwards and you could not shoot him while shooting them, but in HOD 2 you can and kill him quickly.
I remember playing this game in the arcade room of a laser tag place when I was about 14. I panicked when I saw the guy at the well (1:46 in the video) and shot him square in the face, ending his life before the zombies even had a chance to attack. Having the hero turn around immediately after and say "there was nothing we could do...", in the most cold, sarcastic voice had me and my friends absolutely roaring with laughter. I don't think we won another game of laser tag the rest of that day because we were having more fun quoting that line any time one of our team got shot than trying to win!
You just described a pretty much perfect early 2000s day there. ❤️ laser tag, goofing off with friends, quoting obscure stuff that other people you were hanging out with wouldn’t understand 🤣 me and my friend used to do stuff like that all the time. Love this comment
Words cannot express how much I’ve missed this game. I didn’t even realize how bad the voice acting was when I was still a kid. So much nostalgia in this Game I have almost forgotten. I have missed the experience playing this game.
I used to always play house of the dead 2 + 3 with my dad whenever we passed an arcade. We had one near my house and I'd always insist on playing 3 whenever we passed. If we ever passed an arcade anywhere, I'd run straight inside and look straight for House of the dead right away. I'm on such a nostalgia trip right now.
The voice acting HAS to be like that ON PURPOSE. It just HAS to be. It's WAY too bad in EVERY aspect to not be done intentionally. I mean, put aside the corny writing, sometimes the actors change their voices and say words in a weird way, like...there's just no way they were taking it seriously, lol.
I know but the game wouldn't be the same without the cheesy voice acting at least in my But I find this voice acting better than the voice acting in the first resident evil
The suspense, above all, is what this game was looking for, already a classic of the classics. Very well. I remember that my mother played it before me.
Man the nostalgia is crazy. I loved this game as a kid. I knew back then the voice acting was bad but man it's even worse than I remember which is amazing. The big chainsaw boss always freaked me out as a kid but I can't believe I never noticed that awful chainsaw sound they put in for that thing
gotta love the looping chainsaw sound, 17:12 this game is so freakin fun, but the voice acting and dialogue are by far the best aspect of this game 7.8/10-IGN too much water
"Suffer like G did?" you know what i like in a boss, one who poses a philosophical question before attempting to kill you. That's what video games need now a days. :D
This arcade game holds a special place in my heart. This was the last arcade game that my younger brother & myself beat together. Took around $5 each but the memories that were created cannot be bought for any amount of riches.
I love how unbelievably classy all of the characters in this game look. It's really remarkable, especially given how half-assed so many other things about it are - they gave everyone outfits that look like they belong at an English country estate or something. The player characters' suits are, like, finely tailored, in subdued shades of blue and gray. They put so much effort into making them look nice. James almost looks like his appearance was based on Bryan Ferry.
This was my first game console and game at 6 years old… the memory’s! Lived in an apartment with my dad and uncle and got this for Christmas of like 99’ or 2000
When I was 5 or maybe 7 i played this with my older brother and his friend and i was mad for this game it was so epic but then few years after my dad sold the computer 😠😭 Those were the best years
you know what the funny thing is? SEGA actually corrected some of the voice acting on the PC version, but apparently they were too lazy to rename the sound files. When I was 9 years old and had literally nothing else to do (because I couldn't afford to buy more games) I used to go through the installation files. There I stumbled across some sound clips that oddly wasn't used at all in the game. The little imp says "Suffer the same way G did" in the alternate clip. I used to think there was some way I could "unlock" these sounds so I used to play the damn game all day. Other than achieving over 90% accuracy it was a colossal waste of time. Now I realize all I had to do was to just replace the damn files lol
@@Pakilla64 Lol. The same thing happens with me all the time. Back when I was a kid there were things that seemed incredibly perplexing but now that I think about them they actually had a painfully obvious solution XD. I can relate very well to this man 😂
