The HU is a metal folk band from Mongolia that blends western rock and traditional Mongolian music and throat singing. The band’s name The HU, is the Mongolian root word for human being. They call their style “Hunnu Rock”…inspired by the Hunnu, an ancient Mongolian empire, known as The Huns in western culture. Some of the band’s lyrics include old Mongolian war cries and poetry. Founded in 2016 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia by their producer Dashka, along with the members Gala, Jaya, Temka, and Enkush.

Just saw them live in Vegas. Got personal Meet n Greet, pics and videos. Nicest soft spoken gentlemen you could meet. Lead singer said 'God Bless You' to me, which was very special. Stood right at stage during concert. Sad But True was thei last song r encore . BEST concert I"ve been to in 48 years! I have the live performance on my channel. Lowest The Hu bass recorded on youtube. Cuz the huge speakers were 10 feet away.

Nominally a cover of Metallica's song, this transforms that song into something else again. Hu means human being in Mongolian and that covers all of us. Things like this - a Mongolian metal band of this caliber! - show us that while we are each our individual selves, there are no hard rules on what we must be and no uncrossable boundaries on what we can be. LOVED this video and LOVED your reaction. 🌩

"Sad But True" was my introduction to The HU, and I agree that it is a spectacular video. It's a morality tale and includes elements of Mongolian spirituality, so it's much deeper than most vids. The fact that the music is a cover of an excellent song is just icing...

Now that you have heard the Hu a couple of times. Please react to a totally different side of the band, ' Mother Nature ft. LP ' A softer but infinitely beautiful song. Soft at the beginning building until at the climax you can imagine eagles flying on the wind. The song is a total representation Of natures glory. Best piece of music in a long time. It may be The HU's masterwork. Please pick the version with LP . Her vocals put it over the top .Would love to see your reaction.

I suspect that one reason this has so many fewer views is that Wolf Totem and Yuve Yuve Yu were the Hu's breakout songs and thus had a lot of cross-recommendations, while this came out a year later, once they were already known, and was a cover version (a good one, but there may be people who overlooked it because of that).

This only has 6m views because its a fresh video for an older song, the original video for this song wasn't as epic but had a whole lot more views !!!!

Check out Ado. Her range is incredible. Her songs from the One Piece Film Red Soundtrack where she was the singing voice for the character Uta are amazing. Tot Musica, Backlight, World's Continuation, and Fleeting Lullaby are my favorites. All her videos are animated.

Maggie Renee I think that baby to young adult to older man to death, his lifeforce leaves his body while I believe spirit with wings is Mongolian Tengri Etseg (Sky Father or God) I hope that is correct. If not, let me know.

I am going to be the outlier on this one....i do enjoy this bands music in my rotation...im not a huge fan of this cover tune. Metallica has a huge catalog of music and not all of it lends to be being a good cover song or reimaging of sorts. For me its a take or leave it cover song and i just cant find the jive for it.
