But the “new” Tang suit is a jacket that combines the Man riding jacket (Qing dynasty) and the Western suit. Chinese family in New Year Tang Suit A red Tang suit is a great choice for the Spring Festival. You can find styles that fit both genders. If you’re a fan of Chinese martial arts, you might have seen this type of clothing in movies. Jackie Chan especially seems to like wearing them. The Tang suit was also the “dress code” for the 2001 APEC meeting. Men’s: Chinese Classic Jacket Women’s: Women’s Tang Zhuang It has an upturned collar and straight lapels. The suit features traditional Chinese knots (frog buttons). The material is usually brocade, a luxury fabric in ancient times. Originally, it was seamless between the body and sleeves. That's a good phone. I guarantee that if it was made in South Korea no one would be crying about it because SK isn't on the level of competing at the top. It's an economic war (tests ran and zero evidence on phones of spyware), and just because they aren't producing and competing to deliver similar products at similar prices, they are resorting to politics to combat this. All iPhone models are still on sale in China, there's no pettiness going on, just captalistic free market choices from consumers, yes in china!

All of these companies copy from one another, didn't Steve Jobs once say: “We have always been shameless about stealing great ideas” “Good artists copy, great artists steal.” It was Huawei that pioneered the dual camera setup and others followed. It was Huawei that pioneered the image stacking night mode that lots of phones are now using. Huawei is no angel, that much is obvious, but lets be serious here, I doubt they are getting as much info on us as Google or Facebook is, and those two companies are make the majority of their money, buy selling individuals info to the highest bidder. Huawei remains a hardware company. This isn't a defense of Huawei, but I'd be more concerned with Facebook and Google, than I am with Huawei. Watching on my P20 Pro. 😎

@johnj8639

The current lawsuit against Apple is actually from another American company that is currently a monopoly and a patent troll, it’s likely that in most countries they will not be able to successfully sue Apple. If you name another lawsuit Apple has against it for copying I’m willing to listen.

I hate whats happening right now and hope it gets resolved without Huawei being forced out of the US market. If anything, using Facebook has proven worse than anything Huawei is accused of...and thats an American company but I don't hear anything about government telling its employees to avoid that like the plague....

@bradhaines3142

@@GregSalazar their ties are more than insinuated, but to your point facebook is NOT a good thing. i remember when it first came out there was an interview with a general or head of CIA or something like that and they asked him what he thought of Facebook. he said he loved it, it replaced 5 of their programs they were paying for to gather information on people, because on Facebook they just handed it all to them for free.

This must be an America only problem. Huawei is insanely popular in Sweden and people like that they look like Apple products (often even better looking too). Of course the price is the biggest factor, as people don't want to spend 1000$+ for an iPhone X or even more for XS.

@arzolt4765 5 лет назад
That makes sense, every modern computer CPU have some kind of NSA backdoor backed into it (Intel like AMD). So outside of America, its not getting that much worse (for consumer electronic anyways)... Obviously for the American government its much more concerning as they don't want China to catch up in this department.
@arzolt4765
@arzolt4765 5 лет назад
@@xerxesphilea5413 Its the same in France, and that's understandable. But when it comes to consumer electronics its not as whoring, well still concerning, and some solutions exists such as Libreboot to avoid Intel backdoor. But a larger majority of people doesn't care. For most ,consumers China backdoor are not much worse than American ones, hell everybody is willingly giving every piece of his information to Facebook, Google and/or Microsoft anyways...

It's not a huge concern for normal citizens. But the advisory warning is for government workers specifically because they work with confidential information and possibly details of national security. All countries spy on each other, and most certainly computers and phones are an easy way to gather intel. It makes sense not only for USA but for government officials of all countries to be cautious about inadvertently leaking data to outsiders.

Let me put it like this. I have no hesitation in believing that the Chinese government would directly meddle with the company for the purposes of espionage, or that they would not hesitate to abuse the market share of a Chinese company for their own ends. I also don't hesitate to think the US would do that. The difference, is while I think the US *may* do that for *certain* purposes, I believe China *would* do it for *any* purpose where they believe it to be beneficial. The simple difference in mindset between how the average Chinese official thinks of things and how the average American official thinks of such things is just like that. Made even more true thinking of what is openly talked about by the highest level of the Chinese government. That doesn't mean that I will never buy Chinese, but that is something I factor into any decision regarding the use of Chinese products.

ive had huawei phones, mostly around 2009-2014 timeframe but they always worked like a freaking dream, and they worked well their whole lifetime, only reason they died (lasted well over 4 years btw, including the batterylife) was cause of well, i kinda wanted something mroe up to date, so i dissembled it for curiosity reasons after getting a new one. think i still ahve the huawei honor 2 or whatever it was called, would use it if i hadnt broken the screen on it :/ by far the best phone ive had. its not like other cellphone manufacturers wouldnt take info off our device and its not like they dont steal the design as much as they can legally get away with.

The major issue you missed is the simple fact that the CEO of Huawei is former People’s Liberation Army and has been heavily bankrolled by the Chinese Government. The central difference between Chinese and American companies is that Chinese companies are directly tied to the Government by board members, etc. While America has used companies as soft power, see the Movie Industry, China’s approach is far more integrated. The major concern with Huawei is not necessarily the consumer goods, but the infrastructural equipment, e.g. cellular routers for networks, etc. Yes, a botnet of laptops could cause havoc, but the real issue is espionage and the undermining of critical infrastructure. In effect, Huawei is a pawn for both sides. China used Huawei to steal technology to build a modern cellular network and is now (allegedly) using them to compromise other countries’ communications networks. The United States is using Huawei to send a message, similar to the one they screwed up with ZTE. As with all conspiracies, this has some truth and exaggeration about it. The reality is that Americans want cheap consumer goods and Huawei and Chinese manufacturers deliver. From a spying perspective, I would only be concerned, if you are engaged in a business competing with Chinese companies or developing cutting edge technologies with strategic value. Otherwise, enjoy your laptop. And maybe run Glasswire.

I also used Nexus 6P, it has terrible battery life, but I blame it on the snapdragon 810 tho, it was so hot even only watching a video, I later got Mate10 pro and P20 pro, both using Huawei' own Krin 970 processor, never even get warm, and the battery last almost 2 days, while the Huawei 25w quick charge can charge up 80% in 30 min. The finger print sensor also improved a lot.

The problem I have (based on my limited understanding of the issue) is the fact that, by stealing designs and other forms of innovation, Huawei effectively eradicates the incentive for innovators to continue to create new products; much of innovation comes from the awareness that a concept or product will be safe from theft and therefore will succeed as business proposal because it is a protected piece of property. Without this security, it makes it very difficult for inventors (and their investors) to want to design and produce new tech. Not only does Huawei's business practice reduce incentive, but it also supports the idea that the Chinese government can continue to rely on, without paying proper respects to, international communities for their innovation which they cannot gain through a highly regulated market.

There is no evidence of Huawei stealing intellectual property. The argument being made is completely moronic. Companies in China steals intellectual property, Huawei is Chinese but hasn't engaged in that. Conclusion is that we shouldn't buy Huawei because of IP? It just doesn't make any sense...

How is it “unfounded” evidence? You can see a list of companies that have reported being hacked by the Chinese government that has stole intellectual property. you can look at Chinese military equipment to see exact copies from other military’s around the world. There is an example of a Canadian company that wind turbines equipment, there was a patent that company spent millions of dollars to achieve and went out of business when a Chinese company stole it and made it for a little cheaper. This Canadian company was never able to recover the cost of Research and development, and went bankrupt.

They also (CIA/state department) shipped U.S supplied sarin nerve agent sold to Gadaffi in Lybia off to Syria to kill 1500 via western (CIA/Mossad/MI6) backed Jihadi groups to justify invasion of Syria. U.S ambassador J. Christopher Stevens knew this and he and a bunch of U.S personel died with the evidence of the shipping transcripts to Syria on the order of Hilary and the persons in the military industrial complex. U.S pilots were told to stand down 5 times during the Jihadi attack on the embassy in benghazi in Libya.

I'm Chinese. And I always laughed at western ppl who think Huawei is a trustworthy brand. There is a law in our constitution which stated every Chinese company has the duty (Yes, it's your job) to help the government to do anything they asked for and, guess what, they can't refuse. Basically, if, for example, our government asked Huawei to let them access every user data, they have to allow it. Or it will end badly for you. And trust me, it won't be fun for you in a communist society if you refused their requests. This is not a hypothesis here. It will happen. it's a sure thing here. It's not some kind of a behind deal thingy. So can you white ppl wake up already?

The spying and privacy issue, while a major concern, isn’t even the biggest thing standing between me and the purchase of a Chinese product; it’s the quality. Every single time I cheap out and purchase a Chinese product it always ends up failing because of the lack of QC. There is a distinction between Made in China and Made by China. I have owned many products from companies that were made in China: my Samsung TVs, Philips TVs, Dell monitors, Apple products, Samsung appliances, and all of the enjoyed a nice, long life or are still working. Any time I needed help or service, I didn’t have to question wether or not service would be there. When a tub barring failed on my Samsung washer, they swapped the tub and assorted parts under warranty within a week, and even covered the labor even though I was a month out of labor coverage. Never had an issue since. My Phillips TV had its speakers go out, and they came out and fixed it in my living room. My Dell monitor had a light leak issue, and was swapped with no questions asked. My iPhone had a failing speaker, and the phone was swapped out, in store, without a problem. Now, what about the Chinese products I or friends have bought? I won’t go into the crap batteries I have bought, or the terrible light ballast that failed three times in the course of two years, because they weren’t large companies. However, a friend had a Haier refrigerator and it worked great for a little over a year. Once the warranty expired, the refrigeration unit failed and Haier in the US was damn near impossible to get ahold of. When they did get through, they were given the number to a repair shop and basically told ‘good luck’. I personally purchased two Sharp TVs, one after the other. The first unit was a real Sharp, designed in Japan and made in China. The second unit was a rebranded HiSense (since they bought the rights to use Sharp’s name in the US). While the real Sharp was a floor model that was always one, and gets used daily for 2-3 hours, while the brand new HiSense one saw 4-6 hours per WEEK if I was lucky. Guess which one, after two years, failed? Yep, the HiSense. I paid a premium price for a worse-than-Walmart-grade TV. Not the mention the blacks on the panel looked horrible compared to the true Sharp. HiSense offered to replace the TV, which was only two years old, with a refurb for half the price I originally paid. Instead, I went to the store I bought it from and the manager made an exception to swap it for a different brand if I paid any difference. I ended up going with the Samsung as I have had great luck with them. No issues so far, and the TV is excellent.
