“I don’t want to forget.” Katniss’ bravery is one thing, but Peeta’s bravery is something else. He never chose to forget - even after being tortured, and even after getting to live, he continued to honour those who died in the Games.
Maybe because she killed the guy from district 1 even though she didn’t want to kill anyone, that’s shy she wants to forget. But Peeta didn’t kill anyone.
He wasnt forced in a position of kill or be killed. Katniss killed 4 people, was forced to watch Rue get murdered, and was nearly tortured to death by Clove before her skull was bashed in. Plus, I always took that mean that Peeta didnt want to forget about *her.* For him, his feelings for Katniss were real. She wanted to put the Games behind her but he wanted to continue forward, as the Star-Crossed Lovers of District 12.
The lack of a crowning scene for Peeta or even a lack of a conversation with Snow really shows just how badly Peeta fared on his own, had no kills without the career pack, and got carried by Katniss after being unable to fight or walk
A lot ppl saying that the first film is the “weakest” one, and how Catching Fire is the best. Although I do agree that Catching Fire is amazing and amped up the games/franchise, the first film will ALWAYS be my favorite. Despite the shaky cam, Gary Ross did a pretty phenomenal job capturing the horror elements and rawness of the first film. It will always be an iconic, classic film in and of itself. This franchise would not be the same with the amazing performances of that the cast brought. It never fails to me shed them tears. Hunger Games has my HEART
The prequel novel "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" came out last May 19...it tells the story of an 18 year old Snow being assigned as a mentor to the female tribute of District 12 at the 10th Hunger Games.
**SPOILER** What I liked the most was probably the parallels and hints that Lucy Gray could very well be Katniss' grandmother. It would make sense why Snow was so obsessed with Katniss - not only because she had the potential to be the spark of revolution, but also because she reminded him so much of Lucy, both in personality and appearance.
Spoiler alert from the ballad of songbirds and snakes: From the moment Snow laid eyes on Katniss she must of reminded him of Lucy Gray, the only woman he ever loved.
Exactly. He was infatuated with her and nothing more. As soon as he realized his own neck was on the line, he chose himself over her. Love does the opposite.
Something about the way the first movie was filmed is truest epic. The sequels were awesome, but the change in director really lost the feel of the first in a way that I can’t put my finger on.
Really? I always thought this movie was the weakest in the franchise. I almost never revisit it. Like I will start the series from catching fire onward or just rewatch catching fire on its own.
@@birdiewolf3497 what??? but the weakest is "mocking jay part 1". Even the book, the first part was really difficult for me to read because it was about Katniss being asleep bc of the morphling and angry when she wakes up, only to be put asleep again with mophling.
The ending of the first book is soooo much better. *(Spoiler alert)* you actually get to see peeta being hurt when realizing that it was all an act and katniss expresses how bad she feels and all that :( wish we had seen more of that but oh well.. "Already the boy with the bread is slipping away from me. I take his hand, holding on tightly, preparing for the cameras, and dreading the moment when I will finally have to let go." 😭😭😭
i feel like there was some importance to the victor crown being split in two in the books. i don't think they should've omitted that in the film. but it might just be a design problem, idk.
Spoiler Alert: This get another meaning after the prequel, like Snow having the premonition of his fate from the beginning. The name Katniss, the pin. Everything in this scene it’s so powerful for him that he can barely hide his feelings in front of Katniss, something that she can’t decipher, the non-awareness… I just want to believe she is related to Lucy. In the books Katniss is described with an olive skin and *light blue eyes tending to grey* (like snow), furthermore her father had a “beautiful voice” that make her mother falls in love to. So many details and coincidences I love this saga so much
I have read this story in the book but haven't seen this movie yet. The story of hunger game was awesome and now I just have to watch the movie. And it looks more entertaining than the book. And I'm feeling excited about it😃😃😃😃
It's SUPER true to the book. They changed only what they had to for cinema purposes. You know, some things don't translate well to the screen. Every actor does an amazing job at portraying their character's depth. Jennifer Lawrence was really Katniss. The only thing I would have liked to see more of in the films was Katniss's relationship with the peacekeepers in the Hunger Games. They were kind of friends.
@@kamenriderfourze8434 Wait, nevermind. So it was actually that Gale was the one who came up with the idea to drop bombs on civilians, and then drop more bombs when the medics came in to turn everyone against Snow. He didn't intentionally use this plan, but Coin found out about it and used it. Then Katniss found out and this is why she confronts him a little later into the film.
Ok wait now I'm finding a third answer that Beetee and Gale were the ones who created the ticker bombs that killed all the civilians, including Prim. I don't know which one is right or if they're all right
Think of Snow as the President of Apartheid South Africa, telling himself that if he relaxes the system his former victims will turn on his own people.
Very well, it is the best film in the world. I like "Hungry Game" because it is the more wonderful film. And, so, the book, very exating and so, so, so. Very cool!!! Very...very exellent!
I mean Snow should have killed Katniss' family. If Haymitch had his family murdered after he won his games, Katniss should have suffered worse for letting 2 victors win.
@@maranatha_777 not just that, but Johanna said they adored katniss’s sister in the Capitol and if they touched her there would be riots even in the Capitol. Society had changed in the Capitol since the 50th hunger games.
Katniss is the main character. Peeta isn't, so we didn't see his crowning as it wasn't essential for the plot/story. They cut out so much from the movie, so keeping in pointless scenes like that is wasteful when they decided to remove so many scenes of character development for Prim, other tributes, Katniss, Peeta etc.
They were supposed to be the same height. He was stocky, muscular (lives in a bakery, access to food), whereas she was suuuuper skinny (has to hunt to supplement their rations). I think Josh looks fine, but Jennifer doesn't exactly look like she's slowly starving. So if anything, they should've made Katniss thinner
Exagération or extremes and NOT Quran n Sunnah.. We need to only follow Quran n Sunnah Only.. Not follow people who ignorantly create fitna.. 👉Only Sunnah 👉Only Oneness of Allah Quran its very simple
How do you make these video/clips. Is there a website or something. Do you download the episode then cut out the clips you want to post? I want to do the same for this film and many other but dont know how.🩵🔥
