Ofc the hunger games is better than twilight. There’s no point of arguing 🤷‍♀️

In the books, the red haired girl is said to be very very smart (more than what we see in the movie). In the movie, when we see her train before the arena, she's trying to remember every plant out there, the edible and poisonous ones, etc. It's implied in the movie, but it's basically said in the book that she committed suicide. Because of course she knew that those berries would kill her. It was what she was best at, knowing stuff...

"The Hunger Games is better than Twilight" I mean... Isn't that basic knowledge?

Those dogs are WAY more terrifying in the books, because they all have the faces of all of the tributes who were mudered.

The Careers are the Tributes from Districts 1, 2, and 4 (so there’s usually 6). The leader (Cato) and the Orphan girl (Clove) from D2, the blonde girl (Glimmer) and the guy who killed Rue (Marvel) from D1, the D4 tributes (in the movie the boy wasn’t a Career and died in the Cornucopia, the girl died by the Tracker Jackers in the book but on the first day awhile after the Cornucopia in the movie), the boy from D3 that they left alive because he reactivated the mines where they put the supplies, and Peeta formed The Career Pack for this year’s games. More often than not after The Career Pack kill everybody else it’s a free for all between them at the end. Black guy made it to the final 4, Rue was final 8 so let’s hear it for the black tributes🙌🏾 We weren’t killed off first!

The only thing I feel like doesn’t make sense is when Katniss is stuck in the tree...you’re telling me that one of the tributes from 1&2 couldn’t have killed her? I know Katniss couldn’t have died because she’s a pivotal part of the story, but these tributes are highly trained. Yet Cato couldn’t climb a tree? Clove, who never misses with her knives suddenly can’t make a shot? And Glimmer shoots one arrow and gives up because she missed one time? Don’t get me wrong, I love the HG films and books, but that didn’t make sense to me.

All of them suffered more or less. being eaten alive for hours is not something anyone should live through. Also they would have to listen to his screams.

There was a lot of comparison between Rue and Primrose in the books. Katniss saw her sister in Rue and felt so protective towards her and they were both just 12 years old. She later saw Rue in Prim and had PTSD relating to this. So the fact that he got their names mixed up I the start was a huge win haha 😊

Read the books. They explain things way better than the movies. Firstly they were excited about the bread because it is a luxury in their district. Yes it was Prim's first hunger games. Katniss couldn't just grab a couple bags from the stack without blowing herself up. The red haired girl was able to do it because she analyzed where the landmines were and where it was safe to step (she is very smart). She didn't go after Peetah sooner because she didn't trust him. Peetah was with the careers to try and protect Katniss. Everything Peetah did in the games was to protect Katniss. But Katniss didn't know that at the time. She only went after him when she did because it would have looked bad if she just let him die after she was informed that they could both survive. Plus she felt like she owed him because he saved her life with that bread.

Why compare them? Twilight is all about the romance and The Hunger Games is action and a little bit of romance (even if this last one is not the main topic). Their stories and impact are diferent

Thanx for the video. Fan fact from the book. The hand sign was originaly used on funerals in district 12 to pay respect to the one who died (it meant basically the same as F in the chat). That gives a quite different meaning to it's usage when Katniss volnteered. Later it became a sign of resistance after Rue's death, because Katniss paying respect to Rue started the riots in 11th.

District Twelve was filmed near my home in North Carolina. The abandoned ghost town Henry River Mill with its dilapidated houses were used plus the main building for Peter's family bakery is front and center near the main road going through the town.

There’s one thing I don’t remember (even from the books): Peta says that his mother thinks that Katniss could win the Hunger Games (she seems proud) but she didn’t want to give Katniss her bread even if she was Hungry🤷🏼‍♀️

The rating scale of the tributes goes from 1-12. Giving Katniss an 11 is both becauce of her guts of aiming at the judges (well, the apple, but in their direction) and also to put her on top of the other tributes target list, because they now think she's super dangerous and will want to take her out as soon as possible. It is sort of a roundabout way by the judges to punish her.

he's low key hating on it too much its a very good movie and even better book, the acting is great and the storyline draws you in so much. not to mention character development throughout all the books but they still stay true to themselves

They were shooting fireballs at Katniss to get her away from the perimeter (they didn't want another Haymitch situation-He used the perimeter force field as a weapon back when he was in the games)

These movies were so great & the books are 10x better!! The books have more detail but these were the most accurate movie adaptations ever. Alongside HP and Twilight. LOVED THG

I don't know how Peeta survived in till the end of the last movie. In part 1 of mocking jay when he was choking Catniss, I would have just killed him right there. Plus he was mostly crazy in part 2 and another plus is he killed one of the team members in the black goo thing.

And then there is me screamed at every Hayffie scenes and Katniss badass scenes ‘cause they were My fave from the Book
