That fence bit was what cemented my relatability to Dipper. My friends (who weren't trouble-makers) would do things like climb back and fourth between fences, climb up trees, play king of the hill on a concrete table, etc. And I was always the one who would either sit out, or embarrass myself trying to keep up. "Just- just trying to get a foot-hold..."

I really wish we'd gotten that Wendy episode. I still don't understand how a team of such great writers were so scared of showing Wendy's flaws in an episode, that they failed to realise that's exactly what we wanted.

But when you think about it, it's like with crushes, you don't really get to know them, so it puts us in Dipper's perspective

@@tomvesely4008 But they were friends too. Good friends. Whether the crush ended or continued, he should have gotten to see more of her, know her better. And so should we.

It’s probably because he had to memorize it to say the line, and it still stays in his mind years later

It’s such a shame they didn’t want to “mess” Wendy up, I think showing her flaws despite her cool nature would have made her even cooler and more relatable/grounded.
