Deep sea fish have always amazed me, especially the oarfish. So cool how that dorsal fin flutters and how they have that wide-eyed stare. “Oh you think I’M weird?!”
Ive just checked out your website, and i am astonished by the level of work, enthusiasm, and knowledge put into your work, this is amazing, and in my opinion, any world class marine institute would be lucky to work with you! I really hope it all works out, and you now have a life long fan in South Africa!
Thank you so much!! That’s really kind of you, I love making these videos and working on my site, and hearing that you’re enjoying it makes it all feel worthwhile. I look forward to sharing many more vids and articles in the future :)
While my whole class felt bored while studying ecology in high school. I thoroughly enjoyed that whole unit, and now I'm aspiring to get into the field of ecology, fr me ,Ur videos are like a carefully and precisely crafted piece of art Lots of love frm INDIA💜
the Coelacanth made me tear up and I'm not sure why. just the fact that something so old is still around is so beautiful to me. how many climate changes this species has survived is just... unbelievable. thank you so much for all the work you put into these videos. I wanted to be a marine biologist as a kid and this definitely makes kid-me happy💚💚
always one of my favorite things to do is settle down and relax and watch some of your videos, they’re absolutely fascinating and you have such a calming voice. thank you for everything :)
This channel is the reason I've grown to love the deep ocean and its wonderful residents instead of just writing it off as a scary, dark, empty place. Not only are all your videos incredibly informative but the soothing narration has helped me fall asleep many nights 😁
Been watching your vids for a while now and just wanted to say that you’ve quickly become one of my favourite RU-vid channels :) the calm professional presentation of your documentaries honestly makes them the perfect way to unwind at the end of the day!
Thank you so much, that’s really lovely to hear. These started as just a hobby but the channel has grown to be a huge part of my life and I’m loving it. Knowing you’re enjoying the videos makes it all feel worthwhile, thank you for watching :) Drop me a comment anytime!!
How is it I've never found this channel until now? I'm in love with the content. Beautifully presented, great compilation of footage and strangely peaceful and calming to watch. Also loving the Ori and the Blind Forest soundtrack used in the background. A gorgeous game and the soundtrack goes so well to these videos.
I’m not the first one to say it, but the Ori soundtrack is so good. Also one of my favorite game series’ of all time. Reminds me I should go back to play Ori and the Blind Forest…
I really respect the effort you put into your videos. I adore the ocean so the videos you put out are the perfect thing for me. It's professional, quality, and you care about what you do. You're amazing
These videos, and this entire channel, is truly incredible, I just got recommended a terrarium video, subscribed faster than ever before. I also noticed that you have been making videos for 9 years which is amazing! This channel deserves so much, really hope the algorithm picks you up, every biology loving person would love this channel, keep at it!!
I always watch these videos to fall asleep. They are so interesting and yet the way you talk about all these topics and your calming voice makes it perfect for me to take in information as I slip away into sleep. Thank you for these amazing videos!!
Dude! I absolutely love your videos! I’m a huge deep sea biology nerd and watching all your videos relating to marine biology is one of the best parts of my day! Keep up the great work! Love love love your content!
Thank you so much! Your comment made my day :) The deep sea is an incredible realm, it evokes such a unique sense of wonder mingled with fear and I absolutely love it! I’m so glad you do too.
As I understand you may be in “Uni” that is at University. Good for you! You are most certainly a brilliant young man and your truly remarkable demonstration of your visual, writing, musical, and narrative skills are well beyond any competition. You have a wonderful future ahead of you and thank you for this gift of your time and talents. We have all been enriched by it.
@NaturalWorldFacts, I just read on a different thread that you "enjoy making [these videos."] Are YOU the one producing them?! Do you also do the narration as well? I find myself constantly *stunned* by the quality and professionalism of your work! Imho, your material is just as good as NatGeo and I can never seem to get enough of them. I only wish that you'd make your episodes longer because I am so fascinated by the subject matter you choose for each program. And because of this I have permanently subscribed to your channel!
Heya, thanks for the words of support and for showing such an interest in my channel :) I can confirm this is a one-man show. Aside from the footage which I source from ROV recordings of marine exploration organisations like NOAA and MBARI, the script-writing, narrating, editing and channel management is all just me. And I love every part of it! Thank you so much for subscribing, I really look forward to making many more videos in future.
Fish are the most perfect, beautiful, powerful, dangerous, adaptable and truly fascinating organism in Nature. Fish are always adapting, mutating and evolving towards becoming the most perfect organism. Fish can come in an unimaginable number of shapes and infinite variety of species, they can be in many sizes, they can have many, many bizarre and beautiful colors and have amazing patterns on their bodies along with having such fascinating, wonderful and at times, truly magnificent and frightening behavior characteristics. Fish are quite easily capable of dominating all the lands, waters and skies of Nature if they were given the right adaptations, mutations and if they were placed in the right elemental and environmental conditions at the right time, in the right moment and in just the right place. I love fish, I've always had a very deep connection to them, a very fierce respect and honor for them.
Cannot wait for part 2! You’re vids are fantastic I love all the information you give and the way you organize your vids is the best! Keep it up, I hope you become the next David Attenborough!
Im a physical education major student from the Philippines but look I'm always here watching your vids, its so fascinating because i love marine species and i really enjoyed these stuffs thank you sm❤️
I don't know why, but I automatically think of the fantastic Geraldine James OBE when I hear you speak. I just can't get over how much you sound like her. Posh, sophisticated, articulate, intelligent and serious - these are the words which come to mind. She has such a wonderful narrative voice... as do you!
Currently questioning all of my life’s choices thanks to your videos! Should’ve been a marine biologist instead of going through the hell that is medical school 😂😩. Keep it up, and THANK YOU for these beautiful videos.
Haa! Just found this channel, this is my 4th video and i am officially subscribed. Absolutely love Deep Sea "everything" especially bio luminescence but i also find most nature, plants, animals, fungus, insects, etc. incredibly interesting. Something about Ocean life is an entirely different type of incredibly interesting though, i look forward to watching Many of your videos. 😄👍
When I was in 4th grade our class was randomly givin a sea creature to do a report on and I got the deep sea angler fish. This was in the early 90s so the internet really wasn't an option but what I was able to find about the angler fish was enough to get me interested in the deep. After that we got to dissect a squid and from there cephalopods became my favorite sea creature, especially architeuthis.
Loving your videos! The ocean, especially the deep sea is of interest to me. I also like that not only are your videos interesting and informative, I find them incredibly calming as well, something that is important to me. Now I know more about bony fish. Thank you for uploading another engaging, interesting video!
Such an incredible video -- informative, immersive, and immaculately put together. Was really surprised to hear Ori OST in here LOL. A very beautiful soundtrack that I frequently work with as well.
The music from this is absolutely stunning just as your work putting this together. You truly recognize the majesty in all of this. To you and anybody else reading, find Ori the original game. I dare you not to fall in love.
I can only say Wow!, amazingly well produced productions!! Amazing video's with just the right music and a relaxing voice. I always was a fan of Jacques Cousteau's productions and it somehow reminds me of that... Thanks!!!
I love your videos! They're so detailed and I love the technical definitions. But, I wanted to let you know that many of your videos have blurred scenes. It's really distracting and it's so disappointing when a blurred scene comes up and I can't see what you're talking about.
Using parts of the Ori soundtrack makes these videos even better than they already are, which is saying something considering how well crafted they are already.
First time watching your video you are amazing!! What a great evolution in 9 years.... I sugges you to tag your video with more search options because i feel your video views are not enough ❤️❤️
It is inaccurate to say there are only 2 lobe finned fish, since there are 2 coelacanth species and a few lungfish species. That also excludes all land vertebrates, which are also lobe finned fish
