I think his voice changed to highlight the fact that during his battle with Rodimus at the end of the 86 movie he was damaged when he landed on the planet in the lava. This also explains his absolute sheer insanity. I like to think Galvatrons brain 🧠 reverts back to being like Megatron but instead of planning things out and using effective military strategies he is just insane. Gotta love G1. I have always preferred Galvatrons design personally (I do love purple) xx

I don't know, as the season continued, it would seem that Galvatron's leadership at least managed to get the Decepticons a new series of base structures and the like.

I remember watching the series after the movie had played that Summer or Spring before. I remember how much I loved Galvatron. I thought he was funny and amazing. He was the first bad guy I ever liked in a cartoon. So when me and my friends would play Transformers, if I had to be a bad guy I would always choose to be Galvatron.
The part when the decepticons finds Galvatron again 2:10 - 4:12 and he's gone completely crazy is monumental. Ooh, Cyclonus, how wonderful to see you again. Hahaha XD
Man Galvatron sounds like a wimp when you compare him to Megatron who had a deep menacing voice while he has a that annoying high voice that just makes him sound like a brat throwing a tantrum
The character I have bittersweet feelings for. On one hand, I love his design (purple is one of my favorite colors), since a laser cannon is more frightening than a stupud man-made gun, but it all comes down when it comes to his personality traits, at least in the cartton after the movie, where Galvatron's insanity made him unfunny.
agreed, even when he lost, he lost with dignity, he would take his anger out on cyclonus and the sweeps lol all rodimus did was go all emo, and springer would try to knock sense into him now and then lol
Megatron was too ordinary, but Galvatron was so much better. Had a killer bot mode and an insane personality. If only Galvatron had been the con leader in seasons 1 and 2, season 3 was bad. Rodimus was an ass and wheeljack was dead! :( I would've loved seeing Galvs and Optimus fight each other, that would've been cool.
galvs and megs both had huge egos, they both liked to brag both talked constantly about defeating the autobots and never did it.galvs was just meaner than megs, the cons talked about mutiny but they never did nothingat least when galvs returned chaar started to become a decent civilization the cons could not survive without a strong leader, everytime megs was gone or offline the cons start fighting each other like when frenzy and rumble teamed up on skywarp then in five faces of darkness without megs, screamer and shockwave the cons just fought each other.cyclonus had the opportunity to take over he was respected by the sweeps and other cons but then again he wanted to make sure galvatron was dead bnecause megatron and galvs was both known to come back after folks thought they was dead
Galvatron may have been batshit crazy but he's still the mech, but after the return of Prime he started being more logical and diabolical like his former self.
