Hi Max, I know this might sound weird, but for those types of echo setups, hang around some towels out of sight of the cameras view. Or absorbing panels if you got them. It is great in reducing the reverb of the room. Even hanging clothes can make a noticeable difference.

Always love your interviews. Here's a helpful tip for audio that i learnt during my filmmaking days. Beside your main audio input (usually your lav or boom), place your phone on the table and record the audio there too. At the beginning of the interview just clap, so you can sync it later. Even if your lav screws up, the handphone recording would provide a decent alternative as a backup. Hope it helps!

Nice report. I'm concerned that the rate of large corporate sign ups has dropped sharply and all the tokens that's been thrown at long-shot startups. This strategy has failed for Algo and it's not working for Hedera.

Max, great interview. I'm a big believer and investor of HBAR but I have a legitimate question. Not trying to spread FUD, but I'd like your opinion. Playing Devil's advocate for a minute.. Why would someone want to invest in HBAR when the governing council has every reason to keep the HBAR price low? And yes, they do control management, distribution, treasury,and staking. Additionally, if the network needs 10k TPS to "breakeven" and be self-sustaining and there's only 1k TPS currently, wouldn't you say that HBAR is over-valued at the present time? What do you think of the recent GC move to lower staking in Aug to BETWEEN 0-6.5%? Seems like a huge step backwards. With that admission it seems like they released staking too soon, set the % too high, or aren't generating enough income to supply the staking rewards they originally thought they could. In any case, I believe lowering the staking rewards shows the ecosystem isn't as vibrant and could send the price downwards. I am personally stopping my DCA into the project until I see where staking is headed

Rumor is that HBAR will partner with many big companies in the next 12 months. This is the time to buy. All you need is 100k HBAR for your wealth. It will have the same move ADA did in 2021. Already swapped my ADA bag for HBAR.

Can you ask about the governing council needing 250mil hbar? Thats $14mil at current prices. As the network usage rises and hbar rises so will the cost of becoming a council member, making it a greater and greater barrier to entry. Not to mention those first council members you got will now be approaching their 2nd 3 year term, so they'll be dropping off. Doesnt seem sustainable. And doesn't seem like you're gonna fill all council positions any time soon...

Audio is so bad it is hard to listen too

They always saying the council dont care about price, well the higher the price the more secure the network.. leemon said the token needs to be high to help prevent one malicious actor to ever own too many tokens.. even tho the tokens are not all in circulation... but we the investors care about price, no crypto company does anything for us honestly most of us are here for price... now if the institutions going to buy up the tokens then sure its cool to say oh price dont matter...

Is HBAR a stable coin backed 1 to 1 with a nickel or...?

DLT is not the be all end all. Must be therapeutic for Max to have interviews with a founder after having his bags decimated so badly.

So Hedera needs to be doing roughly 10,000 TPS to be self-sustaining and they're doing 1,000 TPS. That's really disappointing. This is why the GC purposed a cut to the staking rewards. I always thought HBAR was undervalued but now I'm thinking it's overvalued.

Yeah audio is horrible

Pretty much saying the same things they've neen saying for years. Hedera's supremacy has supposedly been imminent for years yet they've failed to produce enough(any?) revenue to move the price in any meaningful way in all these years despite them being this supreme technology. If they couldn't get ahead when they were the top tech how are they supposed to do it now that there are multiple protocols (CSPR/KAS) just as capable as Hedera? I try to stay positive but it really does just feel like Hedera is all talk sometimes.

Found much of this insular looking. After all, what's the pitch for a decentralised ethos? With Web 3 on the horizon, why is the global agenda being back-footed on technology? What or why have US borders got authority over its technological ambitions? It didn't with the 60's VISA business model. 😉 Most of my listening couldn't help but hear something more like a centralised agenda favouring the US above all else, and I certainly hope this is not the case as the 29 council members illude to, but I would like to see Swirls & HEDERA looking to locate their presence in Asia, Saudi, Europe, India, China, and even Russia if it's ambitions are truly decentralised in the broader sense of the word. 👌
