I've always want to play a animal survival game as one of my favorite types of critters; the crocodilian family. Makes me all the more excited for Sarcosuchus in Path of Titans.
i usually play as the utah and the sound of other utahs is comforting bc 9 times out of 10 theyll befriend you. yesterday i decided to explore the map as a herra because of how fast they are. at one point, i heard multiple utahs calling from the trees and realized, oh shit, i'm not a utah right now. very eerie moment bc they wouldve more than likely hunted me down.
Personally? Deino is my favorite. I am patient so I don't mind waiting. Plus? Getting a good ambush is such a good feeling, Easily worth the wait. Love the ambush / Reverse Fisherman playstyle :)
i actually got to lunge out the water as a full grown deino and drown a full grown carno. Before doing that i would also put carno above deino for me, however after doing it i have no choice but to put deino above carno now lol i was literally yelling "LETS GO" as i was drowning it XD best feeling ive ever had in the isle!
@@J72Gaming when it felt the MOST rewarding, was finally dragging a stego down into the depths right from the firm safe grip of their mother, watching her desperately try to reach me in the water while i watched the sub swim blindly to its death, ive dragged full growing utahs, carnos and tenontos into the depths...but nothing felt better than watching a stego sub adult drown while its mother tried to attack me, after a week of being bullied as a deino by stegos and everything else in the test servers i can safely say drowning a stego was the single most satisfying moment in my isle lifetime, that and fighting a 2v1 against other deinos and winning xD
I just drowned a sub adult stego yesterday.... grabbed him right out from under the full one, then the full one tried to chase me into the water (dumb) and I chomped him to death..... all the little baby deinos were so happy to see me swimming back up with a big ol stego for them
I would give teno a better position than stego..as stego if you have a herd you are basically unkillable right now which takes the thrill of being on the edge all the time away. Also it feels way better managing to kill anything as a utah than as a carno, it requires more effort, patience and skill which in my opinion is more enjoyable than living an empty life as a stego and then dying to a small bump on the road.
I really enjoyed listening to you argue this ranking. Honestly, although it's inevitably opinion based, can't say your wrong; points well made. For me the Ptera is top S-tier, because it's the first dinosaur that made me truly enjoy Evrima. Isla Spiro, currently, works better as a map when seen from the skies, in my experience. At ground level it drowns you in foliage. Underwater feels underdeveloped.
Thanks for the comment Evolution Square! I’m a huge fan of your park builds. I can’t blame you for loving Ptera so much! I can see my opinion shifting just a tad towards the Ptera over the coming weeks. It’s got so much promise that with the diet and perk system, not to mention the nesting system to be able to roost high on a rock, it will feel very immersive to play.
I agree that the dryos ability is kind of boring, but it’s so much faster then a hypsi. Anything you can’t fight you can run (except carno) the dodging ability can give you a chance to run away from a carno, without stopping
How to make dryo gameplay fun. Go rivers or juvi spawns and kill everything insight. I like to identify where water is shallow then kill some deinos. You 2-3 shot a deino. Killing juvis as dryo is more fun than you might expect
I've been hearing about the overly-aggressive Dryos taking to the riverbeds and Pteranodon roosts and absolutely slaughtering everything in sight haha. It's not what I expected to happen in Evrima haha
Deino would be great if they just fixed the map design. It's almost impossible to actually ambush any player like you're constantly itching to do, simply because there are plenty of shallow areas for other players to drink from without any fear of being ambushed, so almost no one comes near deep water. If they changed that, deino would be so much more fun.
Me and my 4 other full grown croc buddies hang out in shallow areas, it's always funny when a pack of tenos comes by for a safe drink only to get had by the infamous bush croc
My main is the Ptera, I just lllooovvveeee flying, fishing, watching literal wars and pecking Deinos for my personal revenge. My 2nd main is Utah because this close feeling of being a "family" moves something in me. You're never alone when traveling, you're never really hungry, when you die, everyone revenges you (at least in my case) and, after hunting, y'all just sit down on a rock, chatting and enjoying the view (mostly of dinos passing by or fighting each other lol). Carno is cool too but pretty overpowered and in 5 of 6 cases where I actually played as a Carno, I got killed by another Carno for no reason.
As a deino main id normally rather befriend pteras since it's a high energy cost/low reward situation just trying to hunt one and they are fellow fishermen. Getting pecked out of nowhere is the sole reason why I'd want to put 5000 lbs of pressure and more on you
@@Anthracite_coal I know, not all Deinos are bad and some are actually pretty chill but then there are the cannibals, the ones who kill everything on sight, the ones that make a huge pile of corpses and guard it so the game is lagging and no one (except for an admin) can fix it and the ones who camp in a bush or up a cliff to kill you and are just annoying people. These are the kinds I attack. If there are just some Deinos chilling around or are just nice, I say hi and that's it.

I agree with your list, tho i think if they make Ptera growth time 2hrs they defs need to give it a buff somewhere else like damage and I think they should add stam regen to gliding. ik its kinda OP but it would just feel more natural
Utah’s won’t climb high , they won’t even climb , they’d scramble to the nearest branch ,plus Herra isn’t that big so it can’t fight a Utah , atleast not alone And btw who said Utah can climb trees now?, they can’t lmao
Teno is the only herbi I enjoy playing as. It's stealthier and faster than a stego, and when it becomes an adult, it's still a powerhouse that I feel proud of. And I don't rage too hard when my Tenos die, they're really very easy to grow in just under 2 hours with good diet. I may even enjoy it more than playing carnivores!
I really like your vids mate. You really deserve more attention you can really see how much work you put in your videos. The only thing you could make better your mic quality but your current also isn't too bad and it doesn't affect the quality your videos
If I were to make an unbiased tier list of the current EVRIMA animals it would look like this: (I can't tell if Ptera is high B Tier or low A Tier. On one hand, it freaking flies! On the other, its bite is only good for killing juvis, and it's HP pool is a small rain puddle.) You need to download the quality assurance test version of Evrima. It’s in the properties section I’m steam. Same spot you downloaded the normal Evrima. Also glad you like the channel! 😎🦕
Pretty good list. Honestly I don’t understand the pterodactyl rating tho. I can’t enjoy playing with something that can’t fight. It’s a flying hypsi that can’t spit. I’d have it as a c or d.
I would've given the croc a better spot.....I love it, at least on NA 3 official server most, if not all crocs have been ultra friendly.... big ones protect and feed the little ones.... I've only personally killed one other croc cuz I was straight up dying of starvation and he volunteered cuz he wanted to play as carno
ive mostly encountered canibals when playing deino. been hunted down so many times as a juvi and backstabbed as a full grown by people pretending to be friendly. realy not fun when youve been growing for 5 boring hours only to run into another deino attacking you from behind after 2-calling.
Imma try to speed through this. Carno- A I like the carno has a dinosaur but the cannibalism is a negative for me. I do like it’s speed tho. Ptera- S Not much to say, it’s just a great dinosaur-I mean flying reptile- to play as and I can respect how fast it grows. Utah-B The Utah is a cool dinosaur but I’m not sure how fast it is, I don’t have the isle yet (I’m getting a new pc soon) but I think it should be faster than it the same speed as a dryo. It really needs to be the speed demon of evrima. Also the pounce mechanic could use some optimization. Deino-S I love the semi aquatic play style and it also doesn’t take as long to grow as some legacy dinosaurs, but it could be shorter. It also adds so much atmosphere to the game as it ambushes in the water just like modern crocs. Teno-A The teno is a great herbivore in my opinion. It’s not that special, but I love how it specializes in pure combat. It easily replaces the mia and para from legacy. I would still love to see a shant, trike, and gally, as well as the other herbis that are announced for evrima. Stego- A I admit the stego is a bit boring but it’s great that the “apex” is a herbi. I guess a deino could take it on, but a stego could clap al other dinos in a 1v1. This will change tho, and hopefully the allo will be an even match for the stego. Hypsi-B I love the design for the hypsi but the fact that it doesn’t grow really is a downside for me. Bc then ur not getting the full experience. Also spitting takes up I believe 25% of ur hunger, I get that they want it to be a last resort weapon and they don’t want sputters everywhere, but I feel like if ur trying to lose a predator and ur low on hunger then u could spit and lose it, and then starve shortly after. Maybe it should take like 10% of hunger. Dryo- D It’s just boring, it’s fast tho and I like fast. But, when the burrow/tunnels gets added , it will be an ez S tier. Also about some of the new dinos that are confirmed: Herrera- S It climbs trees and looks cool. I always loved the Herrera. Allo- S This is just my opinion but I love the allo niche where it’s a Match for the stronger herbis but it still has just a couple apexes to fear. You feel like you can rule the world but in the back of ur head u always keep a look out for those few... Sauropods- C They just seem boring, but I’m curious to see what they’ll do with them. Spino- A I think it’s just a mix between deino and t-rex lol T-rex- A It’s a tyrant so not really my play style Gally- S Gotta go fast Pachy- A A cool alternative to teno, maybe like a mix between teno and carno Troodon- A idk maybe it will have good night vision like dilo but then waht will dilo do? Anyways it’s cool bc it’s a smol carni. That’s all my 3 braincells can generate at 2 am lol

Wel personally i would move ptera to s tier and the tenonto at a tier i would also move deino to a tier and i would also move utah to s tier but thats just my opinion either way this is a good tier list.
stego is the ultimate deino troll. they are so confident that they can kill u but 3 or 4 quick tail swings and they are gone. it's actuallly hilarious seing deino players taking on stegos
The pteradon is a lot of fun to fly but really sucks as the damage is not realistic we need way more damage out of them to be playable the bite force currently is a joke
Stegosaurus does not need to have dinosaurs behind it to fight. Stegosaurus when you attack with the tail will twist to wherever your camera is facing and poke its tail that direction. The teno seriously needs to have this. It's still got the old legacy animations
My personal S Tier is the Stego. When you are small it is really hard to play, but once ur adult nobody is going to mess with you because they know if you hit them with your tail they are fucked. Also Deinos can't pull you in the water
The isle has two versions. Legacy and Evrima. Legacy came first and has a ton more dinosaurs, evrima is a new version they are working on and doesn’t yet have trexes or trikes. I’ve made a comparison video called The Isle Legacy VS Evrima you might be interested in. Lays out all the info for ya.
I like to be really informed about the content I make, so it will take some time for me to learn all the dinosaurs and how they play. But yes! I would love to make a video like that.
J72, I agree totally with Carno top tier as it can outrun everything (its own species as well). Cannot agree more about Deino, atm unfortunately it belongs there as no vegetation underwater and your only chance to make it to 100% is playing Deino as you would any terrestrial ... on land. Carnos can run away from other Carnos killing for pleasure, Deinos cannot.
@@J72Gaming It is like you read my mind for tiers, understand that Deino is an acquatic animal that must be played on land lol Deinos are your n1 danger... J72, grow it far from water, you have 20 mins of thirst and 1h 40 mins of hunger, or bring your Deino in a spot where it doesn't go forward (by moving on land) in waters hidden by vegetation, activate your sonar when you need to go fishing, and go hiding on land if your scan detects water moving afar. Stand still until you feel safe and continue to hunt for fish... It may happen you eat some Ptera that forgot to press space bar when fishing as well occasionally. Unfortunately you need luck with Deino, too. It is not like Ptera where surviving is entirely in the player hands. Also because Pteras are very reasonable creatures lol
Woooooah there sonny. Dont underestimate Tenos claw attack.. He may not be a Utah, but his claws can fuck shit up. I butchered a full grown Utah within seconds. Dont forget his claw attack by default has alt turning just tied into it. Ptera is def on top of my list. And tbh... Fuck Deino. Until they make cannibalism punish you,its just an annoying time. A full grown Deino can live off of fish. The reason so many cannibalize babies is cause they afk and let there food get super low and they freak out and dont know what to do. You can play Deino to full grown without eating a single other Deino. But since it takes so long people just alt tab... Its really a bummer. ive lost 3 different 40%+ grown deinos to other deinos. I can keep a deino above 80% food from hatchling to full grown easily. If only others knew how easy it was and stopped ruining other players times...
I agree the cannibalism is really rough right now. However I feel a lot of that is due to the update just releasing and the majority of the player base wants to try deino. What makes this game great, is that as more time goes by and people start to settle down and play their favorites, players will be naturally more realistic in their actions. At least I hope. Plus, it should be mentioned crocs do partake in cannibalism in the wild, so while not to the crazy amount we’ve seen week one of update 3, it’s not totally uncalled for. Thanks for the comment! 😎🦕

Right now they're way too easy to play that it gets boring, can easily stay full and hidden, you have to seek death. Makes the main gameplay focus of Hypsi basically trolling.
Yup. Get that a ton. I know the differences, and think I even mentioned it in the video. Regardless it’s a dinosaur game so it’s just easy to group them together.
My stego was attacked by 8-14 utahs yesterday, I was sure I would die but at the last moment 3 carnos came and saved me. The carnos actually saved me twice from the same utahs. Dunno why I shared this and nobody asked/cares but why not xd
Ptera is S+++ Tier but you need friends or just luck to find great people, we made a group of 20+ ptera to move around the map and hunt dinos. It wa so cool, we gave our discord names and played for hours. I never had so much fun in the isle or many games, it was just cool af.
Ptera is fantastic! I’ve found you can always find people to group with up in the north east by the log bridge. Great nesting and flocking site up there.
The Deinosuchus is an ancient crocodilian related to alligators. The name literally translates to Terrible Crocodile. So honestly I don’t care if anyone calls it a croc or a gator. Basically the same thing at that point. Plus you know what I meant why bother nit picking.
@@J72Gaming Yeah, the nesting and the skins have been great additions to the game, but for sure a bit of more variety in terms of playables would be accepted. I don't want as much dinos as in Lecagy, but maybe just another carnivore.
Depends on your species. Dienosuchus can only be in a group of 2. For the others it’s the same way to join a group. 2 call to prompt the other player to 2 call back.

I disagree. I was able to make a near 20 minute video on the topic. Plus, having a large variety of playable characters like legacy doesn’t matter if the few options you have help fill the map full of different niche dinosaurs. In fact, now with update 3 we have a large predator (Carno), small predator (Utah), 2 larger herbivores (stego and Teno), 2 small herbivores (Dryo and Hypsi) and an aquatic (deino) and aerial (Ptera) creature to fill the map full of activity. I think it’s rather the perfect time for this video, although will be updating it as we get more playable for sure.
croc is trash in my opinion. super fun to actually play and has such a unique playstyle, but thats only IF you actually get to play it without getting chomped off spawn by some big ass croc sniping babies
