@@c3wly89 seems to be pretty stable, i havent been playing much as i dont want to burn myself out while waiting for the recode but so far ive been able to get into the servers i play on which is isla nycta and pangea servers. i use to play official but theyre just too damn aggravating with mass packing of rexes and allos i try to just stay on the rule servers
Oh okay, thanks for the reply! Pangae was fine with its servers admins, for the amount of ppl playing. On Asura 1-3 only bad experience and toxic responses. Also yeah, re-coding seems to switch the date on release, i wish they really finetune it before letting everyone download it.
@@c3wly89 yeah i had alot of bad experience on certain servers until i started playing isla nycta and pangae, plus anthomnias admins are all highly professional with most issues and events are quiet common there. ive found its much better when playing with friends, i die less lol. and agreed, i would rather the game take its time in production then speed things along and get a crap ton of bugs and glitches. dondi has been doing pretty good from what i can see with the recode and it giving us just enough sneak peaks to keep us from doubting the games development.
Absolutely love acro though, lower Stam than Rex but miles faster, less damage per bite than giga but pretty close in terms of bleeeed. And an ambush that can catch a carno with ease if it's not running in a straight line.
Tenontosaurus I feel is one of those dinos often not included in anything because it's "boring" and is usually shown as prey for Deinonychus, but when you take the tail into consideration, it was probably a decent fighter irl.
this is really interesting and good for me to know! I recently started playing The Isle and the first herbivore I played as was the Pachy and the first carnivore I played as was the... Cerato. I had no idea about the stats and how dinosaurs compare, so this ranking is very helpful.
I have to protest against the weakness against utah bleed - I have battled three full adult utahs as a 98% adult ceratosaurus with a broken leg and won easily with only second screen. Ceratos are perfect against utahraptors, and their turn radius makes fighting bigger predators on non-alt turn servers astonishingly easy.
Ceratosaurus deserves a better spot being the maneuverability and speed. I've taken down so many allow because I tail ride them so hard and they can't run away. Also being that a Cerato can brake check someone and a Allo has the 2 step stop makes the ceratosaurus better.
I dont think he's taking skilled players into account. Only the stats and play style of beginners to average players. I used a cera to kill 6 of 8 Utah's once and I also killed an adult giga so he can't really really use those.
9:21 i was a pachy once with a couple of friends and a trike who decided to tag along. well, she accidentaly hit me with her horns, once, and i still lived, but barely lol. instand last screen and 2 blood drops XD
I legit take on packs of utah's as an adult pachy x'D their one thing for me is heaven forbid you tread water too deeply, they loose stamina sooo quickly when swimming
If you make more videos like this you’ll be beating out athomina’s view counts in no time at all. You could make videos like survival guides. Just 20 minute a pop videos on each dinosaur. Which is something no one else is doing at the moment You could cover topics like Hunting strategies How to hide/sneak up on other players How to navigate How to best fight With every new update you could also do a new rendition of the tier list each video could in bulk cover the Major issues with certain dinosaurs/changes whilst making just tiering the animals a bit shorter (unless massive changes have taken place like the recode). I honestly just really like your video and think you have a really big opportunity you could take. With the RU-vid clout you could probably get inside info from Dondi just like Anth does. Becoming his right hand man for balance issues.
Certainly in the new game I will be curious about most of these topics, but mostly: how the hitboxes will work. If he will cover this im subbing for sure.
That beautifully put together intro skit has convinced me to be a Tenonto main... when I'm not playing as our crocodilian lord and savior *Deserted Island theme intensifies as Deinosuchus shreds apart some poor fool who decided to swim across a wide river*
Tonioni Toklan The isle need to make suchomimus bigger,a lot bigger.Instead of 3.6 tons it needs to be 6 tons and 40 feet long, it fought sarcosuchus a stronger bigger crocodilomorph.
@@Eggnog88 I don't like survival games in general because I just think there is nothing to the gameplay besides the progression itself. But in The Isle especially you spend a long time just growing and then once you put the time in you don't get anywhere besides being an adult. Just feels like empty progression. I should spend more time playing it with friends though.
@@Loris71734 this is a game besides being a survivor game is a roll playing game. Once you are an adult and even before that your actions and decisions will keep you alive. If you find yourself lost in the gameplay joining a herd or pack in discord will help you find so much more I'm the game.
This was a really good video~! I agree with basically everythin' Also a lil surprised how many cameos I made lmao, I always forget you record everytime we play
Super interesting video. I've got roughly 75 hours under me on the isle and there's still sooo much about each dino I've yet to learn. I've been struggling to learn what I can take on vs what to avoid so these little details on each personally ranked dino you've compiled was very helpful. I think it would be a neat endeavor if you covered each dino's strengths + weaknesses in separate videos as educational ones to help players be better at the game. I'd be down to watch a series if you ever felt like making more isle vids! Thanks for sharing with us.
Seshidao You can pretty much fight anything as anything in the Isle as long as you’re confident and patient. Like if you’re on a server without Alt turn, solo-ing a rex or giga as Dilo/Utah is a breeze
On a side note, on servers without alt turn, ceratos are extremely OP due to their broken turn radius. You can just get behind someone and bite their ass until they bleed out.
Carno has always been my main pick, and I like roaming along solo. The trick's I find that work for using it 1. Only sprint after a target if your planing to go in a direct line. If you need to turn, go into a normal trot, or even better a walk. You turn a LOT better and sharper than you would at a full run. So sprint at something, if you need to turn walk for a few moments then run again. It's far faster and worth the time getting back up to speed than staying at a full run and taking forever to turn back around. Also, most players trying to defend themselves and attack back will run AT you anyway, use the walk and let them run at you, follow where they go and sprint after them in a chaise to bite then back to walk/trot to turn as they do. 2. DON'T RUN EVERYWHERE. A carno's best attribute is its speed, but that don't mean you need to waste your stam running from point A to point B. A carno's trot still makes good pace and their run should be used for catching up to pray, or outrunning something wanting you as pray. I've packed with many a group of carno players that like to just run everywhere leaving them often at low to no stam a good chunk of the time (and why I rather play solo) so when something like an allo, or even a rex shows up, well.. it don't end well for the low stam carno. Yes are stam does recover at a decent rate but that's no reason to waste it and leave yourself open. Run when needed, not all the time. 3. Lay down ONLY to recover from bad bleed, a.k.a 2nd or more screen, 2 bleed or more. Carnos have great bleed recovery, if you are on 1 bleed and at first screen, stay on your feet and keep going. Rarly will you need to lay down from such due to the quick recovery rate. This plays in with stam as well, if you play a carno right, and don't run everywhere, you should never have to lay down to recover stam. Run as needed, and let it recover as you trot around. If you get bad bleed, use your stam to book it as far as you can (never in a strait line! that makes you easy to follow and find!) and once a good ways away, even if it means you get worse, then you can lay down and recover. Once your bleed is gone, even if your still bloody, back on your feet and go. Let your legs and ability to run give you time to heal, not laying down where something can spot you and nom your butt while low health. Carnos are sitting ducks when laying down. 4. A smart carno will have little that can be a threat to it due to its speed (52.2). The only large dino thats close to it in speed is an acro, and only in its ambush speed matching carnos and is the only thing I really make sure to keep a good distance on. The only other dinos that can match, or pass a carnos speed is the austro, and herra, but they are small snacks and be dumb to go after a carno. Then theres the utah, but again only in ambush speed can they outrun a carno at 56.0, their normal runs at 43.2. This again is why you don't waste your stam. Dinos like giga, asto, allo, and such can easily trot down a Carno that cant run.
Straw Hat using someone who only plays no alt turn servers as an example is...inaccurately wrong. Dinosaurs after evrima will have an animated turn in place that will prevent ass riding. The new combat system in general is going to prevent ass riding along with collision. Most of the community dislike sticky because of his lack of skill in alt servers where it’s very important.
@@SolitaryWendigo lol @people who play on alt turn servers... and alt turn is still not really like what we're gonna have after the recode. "Most of the community dislike sticky because of his lack of skill in alt servers?" There is skill involved in alt turning? Sorry but absolutely not.
Paddy Senpai I didn’t say there was, and I’m aware that turning isn’t going to be same, I’ve seen all of the streams. Atm deino, trike and Utah have their turning animations. I was saying he doesn’t attempt to play on alt then servers because his skill would be useless there. Dondi already said no alt servers are just crippling their players of a mechanic that is useful in the game.
to make herbivores more fun it would be cool if they had to fight each other for mating rights or for being a herd leader. if the devs can implement that then at least it will keep the more blood thirsty and bored herbivores from actively trying to get into fights with carnivores that arent interested in fighting at the moment.
@@ScanovatheCarnotaurus Oh! I actually didn't notice it! I guess I didn't notice it 'till the Trikes theme the Rex's heavy metal theme from Jurassic: The Hunted.
That was 2 full grown suchos who saw a not fully grown sub Rex, if that sub Rex is in a pack or if the sucho is alone then that sucho Won’t take a chance at it as they take a long time to fully grow
Romano yeah I was on official eu 1 and I was bought down to 3rd screen by just 1 dilo because it was night and I was lagging in the end I got in a sprint and killed it
@Nihilistic Hedonist Is it unbalanced for a T-rex to be brought down by a single/pack of dilo? Yes, but only when you look at the comparison based on the reports. Stats-wise, it takes only a bite to kill a dilo. On the other hands it takes more or less 35 bites on average for dilo to kill a rex, even lesser than that if the rex itself ran in combat which fasten the bleed damage. Dilo, unlike it's similar cousin utah, doesn't have the ability to jump despite it's similarity. And because of it's low hp pool, utah will always tries to find a pack to compensate it's weakness. Now about the debate whether if dilo is broken or not, if you look at their pros and cons, then it's not. Why? Because each dino is specialize/geared towards specific playstyle. Utah: fastest in the game & can jump, Rex: High bone breaking chance & strongest in the game (by stats). If you think dilo is overpowered, then it is silly to not ask the questions such as, Why utah the only dino that can jump? Or Why rexes can easily break other dinos bone with their bite? Or even how come dryo can make burrows unlike other dino? Isn't all of them as broken as dilo???
Very well put together tier list, lots of great explanations as well on specifically why things ended up where they did. A few thoughts though... I find it curious that cerato ends up way down in F-tier for being both bodied by a particular carnivore and a bit on the slow side for what you would think but Sucho is all the way at C tier despite being far slower and being bodied by two different carnivores (3 if you consider that allos are almost always in large packs and suchos are extremely rare on servers). Seems sucho should be at least F tier with cerato, if not a tier lower and cerato bumped up. Similarly while I agree pachy is in a poor spot right now, it's only against utahs and dilo packs, and if you can find a herd it offers you some amount of protection. I had a pachy alive for multiple days on an official server because I stayed near a herd of maias that deter-ed utah attacks, an option neither sucho nor cerato have options to. I would probably have put sucho in f, cerato in d, and pachy in c. Of course as was said this largely depends on individual opinion but still a fantastic video non-the-less
Cerato really isn't that bad if you know how to play it. Using its extremely quick turn radius is a huge advantage, as you can turn quick enough to fight off utahs with ease, and if used right, you're an even match for Allosaurus. It's speed and stamina suck as juveniles, but adults are pretty good. However, in the end, the Ceratosaurus is more or less a hunter of smaller game and a scavenger.
I can not unsee Tenonto with 1000 degree tail slam. But yea the game has gone through a lot of changes(I still remember the gamingbeavers first video on the Isle) and the recode will probably make things for some dinosaurs easier like Suchos now focusing more on fish than other dinosaurs. Also your carno's skin seeemed simular to the ''Deamon'' carno in Fallen Kingdome.
Sometimes underestimate dibbles? Try constantly, fought a whole Utah pack, dilo pack 3 allos and a sub rex in the same day with a full dibble and lived
I didnt even looked at the vide cuz i was cooking sum food, but: "I finally gonna be a Tenontosaurus main for...certain reasons" and then Glavenus' theme starts playing i laughed up so loud my neighbor wked up KEKW
@@paraspinogaming369 Not on the servers I play. I once was the ONLY para and nested in 5+ babies and restarted the population. I was the mother of all Paras in ther server.
I put dilophosaurus at the top, it’s the best dinosaur, and I believe it’s the most balanced to the other dinosaurs because it’s bleed is overpowered but most creatures can one or two shot it. Depending the environment the dilophosaurus can have some advantages against specific dinosaurs but even then, the slightest laps in concentration will end in inevitably death. Even a Utah can threaten a dilo, if the Utah has decent basic skills, so dilo is best because it’s the most balanced in my opinion. At least from my experience. I correct myself, dryos are the most balanced Dino in the game. Also I found a way to escape maias... run and hope it runs out of stamina before it catches you, I play dilo a lot and I often get chased by Maias... maias are as bad in behavior as they are good in stats, so I just run to the trees and then try to hide as soon as it starts chasing me, I’ve made some success as my skills increased... so I only have to say, run and hide if a maia sees you.
They are in the game but they are non survival dinos so you can't play as them in survival. There are in fact servers that allow you to play with them either for free or you need to buy them or you get nested in. This video only covers dinos that are in survival
I see there’s a few sticky fan boys in here 😂 I’ve noticed usually people who are fans of him are the ones who play on private servers with stupid rules, official servers all the way, harder to survive which makes the game more fun
ik cerato isnt great but its really good at combat, get behind anything as long as it doesnt have a broken hitbox, is a sauropod, or has alt turn and it dominates btw you forgot hypos lol
@@avekatten3207 but how often do you find a good utah pack....one bite from a cerato puts a utah out of the fight and with a turn radius the is basically alt turn its very hard to successfully get bites on it without getting bit...but its do able
Wow, Cool video about the Owl. I will consider this information about the owl that you have provided when I play my own copy of the owl. Thank you for showing me which dinosaurs are better than others in the video game calle The Owl
Mind you 3 of those playables (those being hypsi, dryo, and ptera) are so miniscule that they either aren't played at all (dryo) even on a 100 player server or are too miniscule to even be noticed (unless a ptera is screaming its balls off or hypsi is gassing your eyes with its vomit, you won't even acknowledge its existence)
Just started playing the game. Grabbed a Utah, was pretty good for my first time. Same for Dry as well. I agree with both of your statements on them, 10/10.
