The Jack Benny estate owns the original color videotape master, 'Holdor'. Until it's released on DVD (or whatever), you'll have to be satisfied with this black and white "kinnie". But you can take comfort in the fact that most viewers saw this in monochrome, because less than half of all U.S. households owned a color TV set; NBC was the ONLY network offering a 95% prime-time color schedule in 1965-'66 [CBS had about 50%, ABC, 45%]- not until 1966 did all three offer 100% color in prime-time.

This was Jack's first hour-long special after his weekly series ended in the summer of 1965. This originally aired in "Living Color" {this is a black and white kinescope; the original color videotape exists} on November 3, 1965, sponsored by Eastern Airlines [Alexander Scourby is "The Voice of Eastern"].

@fromthesidelines That answers a lot of my questions about the unavailability of the color version. Also, as you mention, many remember this show in B+W . I remember watching a color broadcast back then . Compared to today, the color over the air broadcasts were not as good as a similar broadcast prior to digital signals started a year or so ago.. ty very much.!! Lloyd.

@fromthesidelines I am not certain why the kinescope version is available on the internet only . I have tried to find the colour version; nut to no success. Maybe a copyright or entities like Imobd withhold yje color version.
