When The group left Motown for CBS records and went from being The Jackson 5 to The Jacksons, Jermaine stayed behind and pursued a solo career. That and he was married to the daughter of Motowns founder. So it was bittersweet when they all got to perform together again onstage.
MJ sang under the playback for part of his performances, never the whole. This was when he was in his 30s and the exertion of dancing and singing whole 3 hour concerts etc was taking a toll. Not just him, almost everybody who does the whole sing and dance concerts has done it. With the exception of some superhuman effort on the BAD tour which was fully live. He was always 🔥 all the same.
@astroboiofficalmusic6617 I think because Michael didn't have any obligations as billie jean wasn't a motown song. Also he wanted to focus more of the performance on his dancing and entertaining to the audience
The lip-synching comments, when it comes to Mike, are a means for his haters to attempt to diminish his talent. First off, damn near every musical performer has lip-synched and or used backing tracks at some points in their careers. Why do people act like Michael was the only one who did? It doesn't matter if MJ used backing tracks from time to time because he sang & danced live so many times throughout his career, his undeniable talent was undisputable. Take this performance, for instance, he sang live the throwback songs with his brothers, but sang with backing track for "Billie Jean" performance. After this performance, he sang "Billie Jean" live on many occasions with all the fancy footwork included. People tend to forget that Michael, himself, regarded himself as an ENTERTAINER, first & foremost. As an entertainer, he sang/danced/acted/dramatized theater/created rhythm with mouth & feet/etc....an all around ENTERTAINER.
A few of days ago, Michael would’ve turned 64 years old. Tina Turner was still selling out full stadiums at that age and older! So would The Jacksons still be selling out arenas and stadiums if Michael were still here and able to commit? ABSOLUTELY!!!
The Jacksons, especially Michael, are the greatest group on the planet! Great Reaction! Now, I'd love for you to check out a great group from the 80's, called The System, the song is Don't Disturb This Groove. They are super lit!✌️🎸
Hey, what happened to the performance being chopped at the best part? The hell? Well at least we had you narrating throughout the show up to the cut off point. That was interesting.
He lip synced many times especially in the late 90s because his voice was messed because of the bad tour he sung and danced the whole time for 2 years straight
