Full review of The Jesus Bible Artist Edition. This is the ESV Limited Edition Calfskin and it sure it nice. The review comes with a bit of a warning however in regards to contributors. Don't forget...The Word of God is the Word of GOD...everything else is just the word of man.

I bought this Bible, it's became my primary. Commentary, helps, articles I enjoy just to measure opinions and human views on God's word. To me, unless you talk to God directly, ANY TEACHINGS are from human beings. Be it a priest, pastor, envangalist, preacher, or a fellow believer. We have to take EVERYONES opinion carefully when it comes to word of God. If your looking for a Bible that really brings our Lord Jesus to the absolute forefront ..this is the one.

I like several things about this Bible, especially the artist's version. But I passed on ordering it because I didn't know if I could trust some of the contributors. Many Bibles have good contributors, so I will stick with those for now. Thank you for your review!

I do wish sometimes that commentary should be a in a book all by itself. Folks do seem to get scripture and commentary confused. Oh, you have got me doing something odd with bibles. I’m learning to savor the smell of good leather. Thanks Brother

Beautiful Bible with a great "mission". But there are some warnings regarding the contributors. Remember Saints...only the words of Scripture are inerrant and infallible. So always read the commentary in study Bibles with caution and discernment. SDG

Agree with the warning ⚠️ on ESV. It is a beautiful Bible and designed nicely. Like the 3 ribbon book marks 😅 Ohh the contributors which is good because some of contributors are worth your warning but I thought it was about the verses being left out without explanation.

I have been debating purchasing this Bible. And exactly what you mentioned about the commentary and who wrote them completely turned me off from buying it. That is where I stand right now. Maybe someday I will change my mind but for now the contributors on the commentary have me passing at this Bible.

Aren't the stories from the Bible meant for us to use as a model for our life? Meant for us to use as an example to deal with life now from the experience of the people from the Bible? Just curious. Because facing our own giants can be many different things and very similar to the "giants" that people dealt with spoken in the Bible throughout the Bible. Even if it's not an actual giant person. Still learning some things as always but I'm always asking questions to learn more. I dig deep into everything

Best answer I can give in the comments would be. There’s always only ONE interpretation. Many application..but one interpretation. So we must be careful to understand what the text is truly communicating. So no…the account of David and Goliath is not about us facing our Giants. In a nutshell it’s about God’s power/soverignty and trust. THAT….can be applied to you/us dealing with an “issue” we’re facing today. But making sure we understand the text for what it is. not what we want it to be.

Tengo una gran colección de biblias (la mayoría de corte reformado) y para mí, esta es mi favorita. Creo que esa "advertencia" que usted dice debe ir con todas las biblias de estudio. Pienso que desalienta a otros de adquirir esta biblia cuando es la única que hace realmente énfasis en Cristo Jesús como centro (al menos en Español). Bueno, existe una biblia llamada "centrada en Cristo" para mujeres. Pero, aunque yo sea mujer, no me gustan los productos orientados a público femenino, pues creo que la teología es para todos. En fin, discernir debe ser para todo, y esta biblia la recomiendo ampliamente "aún" con Max Lucado. Que él haya escrito UN artículo, no significa que el resto de la biblia sea decepcionante. Saludos

It’s written by Max Lucado. Unfortunately he has show in the recent past his understanding of Scripture is not actually Biblical.

As a member of the Lord's Church-the blood-bought Church owned by Christ, I am always cautious of the commentary on any study Bible because every last one and I mean every last one always misrepresent Acts 2:38 when it comes to the role of water immersion in the scheme of redemption. They all deny that water immersion is the point at which one's sins are washed away and that water immersion is what puts us into Christ (Gal. 3:26-27) and they all go to great lengths to contradict the plain language of the Scripture, so I always take commentary with a huge dose of salt because every last study Bible, except one, comes from the background of man-made denominations that find no support in Scripture. Max Lucado is an apostate from the Lord's Church.

I find this so offensive to call my LORD AND SAVIOR THE JESUS are you serious right now you should rename the title of your book I respect your work but calling chirst the Jesus you should really rethink what you're doing or if you're not about God we understand your hustle but when you cross that line it's totally unacceptable
