I think it would be 2004. He was unplayable. He won almost all the frames in one visit.

I always think 2008 was his best. IMO, Ronnie was at his peak between probably mid 06 - 08 and I'm glad he said as much in the interview. The 147 he got against Williams is his best maxi as well, even though it was his slowest. That cannon to flick the red out off the top cushion was one of the best shots I've ever seen. Looking back, I think he was better than anyone else by a mile at that point - Williams was in a slump and Higgins dropped off a bit (although that probably motivated him to regain the title the next year). When you compare it to 2004, you have to look at the players he beat and he still won a semi v Hendry with a session to spare but by an even bigger margin. ROS is the only player to have whitewashed Hendry in a full session at the Worlds.
