The fact that The Karate Kid got a dolby vision re-release gives me hope for future dolby vision re-releases from studios that we KNOW have dolby vision versions of their HDR10 discs... (lookin at you, Disney)

I saw Karat Kid movies in theaters back in the day and they never looked that good. 4K scans are phenomenal.

Picked up my copy Tuesday at Best Buy. I loved these movies growing up. I've owned parts 1 and 2 since the VHS days. Saw part 3 in theaters after seeing Batman. Man those were the days 😪 Thanks for the review Jeff

I don't think he was a bully at all, but people may get that idea because of how he's acting in Cobra Kai. It's showing both him and Johnny to be thick-headed about their way being the best. But the writers also took liberties against Miyagi-Do as not being completely peaceful by adding more of a back story to it. But then ultimately, anyone joking around with anyone these days is bullying. Someone who is being bullied and fighting back is also a bully to the modern wussies.

2 is average in retrospect but still a classic. I hated 3 back in the day but realize it's not actually that bad years later. The story was redundant though.

Interesting. The differences in picture between HDR10 and DV are very noticeable. Is this the first time a 4K film has been released in HDR10 and then later been reissued in DV?

A great review and I really like this package overall. Must admit that the screen grabs of KK3 look every bit as good as the other two to me. It’s certainly the weakest film of the trilogy though, so maybe that skewed the view of the image and audio. Anyway, we’ll done once again Sony.

Great review,, I just needed to know was the music video to Glory of Love included as a special feature on the KK2 DISC? It was included on my VHS copy back in the day. I fee so old now LOL

Hey Jeff, does yours have a rip at the bottom of the back of the boxset? Got mine from Amazon and the whole back was ripped and disconnected. As a collector I was like "Helllll no!" Had to return and get a replacement. Got it yesterday and was a little " warped" if you will. I wish the case was a little more solid.

They need to put out Cobra Kai on 4k physical media. The 4k streaming isnt even in HDR, but regardless, the clarity shows.

I wonder if this set was released now due to Cobra Kai Season 4 dropping on Netflix in about two weeks.Cobra Kai Season 1-2 was only released on DVD.Season 3 comes out on DVD January 11.Other regions have gotten Blu Ray releases.

Off topic but has anyone had issues playing the new Krampus naughty cut 4k disc? It refused to work for me. I've had issues with the Halloween 2 4k disc but that eventually played. Krampus hasn't. Figured this was one of the best places to ask. Thanks on advance for any replies.

@@troyn8269 Both versions look excellent. Besides Dolby Vision, the re-release also added the original stereo mix, new deleted scenes, and a booklet. So that's all very nice, for collectors.
