For a Kia I actually like the looks of it, way better looking than the teslas. But I would never trade in my Hellcat for it. 👍🇺🇸

What 99% of people don't know about the EV6 GT, in the center navigation in the split screen section there is a Max output feature that will give you the full 576 HP. Otherwise you're only getting about 500 HP. My current best 0 to 60 is 3.0 sec.

Still not an EV fan but this thing it pretty cool. Kia is killing it. While other brands are piling on the lots Kia is one of the few that is selling everything they can build.

... this is a golden time we are living in!... back in the muscle car days, a ride in the 14s was respectable, in the 13s was fast and in the 12s ruled the streets!...& those latter rides were loud, rode like a truck, handled like a boat and sucked gas like a siphon...choices are great!..😊

Loved you video. Had a EV6 GT when they first came out. Had some issues with it and ended up with a Stinger. After watching your video made me take a second look. Bought an EV6 GT from Courtesy Kia. I told my sales guy that you need to get a kick back, lol. Got an amazing deal!! 5k under sticker no markups. Just how I like it. The Tesla Model 3 Performance starts at just under $54k and does 0-60 in 3.1 seconds but other than that I can’t find anything else that fast in that price range. I built a Model 3 Performance with Enhanced Autopilot online and it raised the price to just under $61k.

FWIW using a Dragy my Durango Hellcat stock has done 3.4 0-60 which is 3.2 with rollout subtracted (like the magazines like to post). The upside to the EV is that it will just repeat it's times over and over again without any effort whereas launching other vehicles requires some knowledge and skill to get best times.

Audi RS3 for exact same price, same performance and I'd feel a lot better dropping that coin on an Audi than on a Kia, RacerX! 🙂

Im a fan of KIAs new stuff the past few years. I was very close to buying a Stinger twin turbo. But I bought a Tesla Model 3 Performance which starts at just under $54k and with the 7.5k tax credit it dops price to $46.5k, does 0-60 in 3.1 seconds and the range is 315. You can adjust the regenerative braking level with the Tesla to control how fast it slows down.

I’m a performance enthusiast, in my garage I have a Honda NSX, Porsche 997 and a BAC Mono. My daily driver is…a KIA EV6 GT. It absolutely rocks! It feels pretty much as fast to 60 as the Mono and it’s really fun to drive😂 (I even took it to Brands Hatch for a trackday when it rained and I didn’t want to drive the Mono!)

What’s it’s expected service life? How heavy is it? Battery lifespan and replacement cost? Fast is fun till it breaks, and if it breaks the bank to fix, is it still fun? What doesn’t the warranty cover?

I have one and appreciate your review and opinion! After looking at all my options for around $60K because of what you said about dollar to performance I got the EV6GT and it is 100% true. Also, it is much bigger than it looks and the back seat room especially leg room is crazy, so it is a practical vehicle as well.

I sold my C7 Vette and bought an EV6 GT. It's quicker than the Vette. Has a back seat. Has cargo space. Also it's much more comfortable, and very good on snow and ice. Edmunds raced this car against an 807 hp Black Ghost and this Kia annihilated it.

My wife and I owned a non-GT version, and I assure you it was a ROCKET! We traded up to a C8 Vette. The infrastructure was not feasible for our traveling habits. Outside of that, it is an amazing car.👌🏽

Also, while EV’s are typically not terribly reliable this one is rated higher than any other EV. Consumer Reports has it as very reliable.

I get over 250 miles range from my GT.... guys heard of WTLP ? They're the Official car range test regulator in Europe and most of the world ! WTLP official range is 263 miles... - wonder who pays for the EPA ?(⛽️ ?) Fun fact - you can set it to hundreds of different ambient light colors, or set it to change color according to which drive mode you're in, so SPORT gives you bright RED ambient etc....

I went to the local Kia Dealer and the salesman sat me in the car and explained everything to me, but the one thing I don;t get, is why does KIA charge you extra for the CHARGing cords! The salesman told my that KIA does not include the charge cords, and you have to pay extra for them. The car is a fantastic designed vehicle! The Dealer said the ENTIRE car is Warranted for 100,00 thousand miles/TEN years! The Dealer had several EV-6's on the lot to pick from.

Pretty neat. Do like the interior setup and ambient lighting. Never been in an electric. Like to see you review the hydrogen Toyota when that appears.

From my understanding both Hyundai and Kia are making pretty decent EV's with some minor teething pains. While I am a Mopar person I am not opposed to seeing what other companies are producing. I have faith when the Stellantis EV's start hitting the U.S they will be pretty good. They are already building something like 19 different EV's in overseas markets and sales have been strong.

I’ve had a model 3 performance, my fiancé has a VW Id.4 and I now drive a bronco Wildtrak. But the best car performance wise I’ve ever had was a Kia stinger gt2. If Kia went electric with that I would buy one in a heartbeat. It’s so cheap to mod but it can be turned into a BEAST! And the inside gives luxury vibes. Kia has came a long way

Hmm... If I have to eventually pick an EV, I want to see what Dodge manages to crank out! That said, there's no denying that this KIA is a killer on the streets! If this KIA is crazy, then I bet an EV performance Mopar is going to be Ludacris! Great review, Racer X!

Great review RacerX! Too expensive for me. Especially considering the 200 mile range limitation. I drive an average of 12 to 15 thousand miles a year, including monthly out of state weekend getaways with my wife and 3 to 4 family vacations a year. The big concern for me is range charging time, and availability of charging stations when I'm traveling.

Bro, last week I had to take my Tahoe in for service and they gave me a 2019 Kia Stinger to drive. I had it for a week and me and my wife was ready to trade in our Tahoe in for the Stinger, omg that car is ridiculous. It a fun little car to drive and if I didnt have a 2019 procharged Mustang Gt pushing 780 rwhp, I would've probably bought the Stinger

Love this car. Wife had a Niro plug in. 2 years ago the dealership promised me the EV6 at MSRP. Fast forward now they wanted +10K ADM. Dude, for a KIA GTFO. I would get one in red at MSRP as a DD. Not paying a dime over sticker tho. Was the one you test drove marked up? Most are.

That car looks bad ass to me. I would love to have that, I might consider trading my Tesla for that if it had self driving like my Tesla, it’s hard to beat that self driving, but great video!

Tesla changes their prices all the time but a few months ago the model y performance suv/crossover was around 65 or less and does 3.5 0-60.

Tesla 3 performance is just about as quick for less money. This runs a little faster mph in the 1/4 and also seems to be the nicer car

I couldn’t trade my HEMI for an EV no way, speed is nice but my challenger just offers so much more, look,sounds,feel,power, just an amazing machine. Great review though, great work.

I see GTs at $53k ($10k discount)......and used GT-lines are already at $40k lol. Its nuts that just a year ago people paid $10-20k over MSRP on them.....lost $30-40k on a Kia in 1 year.....nuts😂

Drives really fast.......charges really slow.

EV’s don’t respond to atmospheric conditions at all? Do you not have a smart phone? Of course you do. They don’t like the heat, nor sub zero degrees. Coincidence? Absolutely. Why? The lithium batteries. The best part of these ones is performance doesn’t drop off as the batteries reduce charge like the Teslas do. Not exactly sure how Kia have achieved this as newton’s law means they should. The Kia can still achieve max acceleration with only 20% charge. A Tesla model 3 simply can’t when the batteries drop below 70%. As a previous owner of the model 3 performance and a current owner of the EV6 GT, apart from the straight line performance, this beast also battles its way as a more driver focused car instead of Bryan iPad with wheels like the model 3.

Cool vehicle, would never buy one. No doubt its fast. Its about the driving experience for me, and EV's dont do it for me. Ive driven my friends Plaid, and the experience isnt there. Acceleration isnt the only thing that matters.

I have to say, I don’t want an EV, but that really is nice looking… but for 63k it is syill a KIA. Also, a 200 mile range (probably even less) is abysmal, no roadtrips in that.😧

Those new cockpits are disgusting. New Ford Mustang has the same garbage. All new and upcoming cars, are nearly the same inside. This is the end of good car interior design. I hate these monitors...

That's one fast golf cart. Dark days are ahead for us. We have to vote the climate crazies out. Did you know that in 14 states as of now if you want a Jeep Wrangler all you can buy is the 4xE. No 392, 3.6 or 2.0 turbo. Can you guess which states they are?

I agree that your test vehicle is sharp looking. The issue is since it's a performance EV. The Range is an extremely low 209 miles vs most performance EVs from Ford like the Mustang Mach E and Tesla. To me that range isn't long enough for a family vehicle. Consider driving from Washington DC to Davenport Florida which I actually do for business at least once monthly stopping in South Carolina. During those 848+ miles. I'm estimating you'll need to make a minimum 6 stops or around 3 hours to recharge. Speed is fun, but Sometimes speed isn't the top reason for purchasing an EV. Like it's sister company Hyundai. The top line models include a lot of technology. I'm still not a fan of spending $60,000+ for an EV with such a limited range. I would go with the Ice Stinger GT2 before they're discontinued later this year with a price similar to your test vehicle.

Warranty doesn't mean a thing if Kia won't back it. I owned a 2011 optima that blew 2 turbos within 100k miles. Also a 2015 Hyundai sonata that ate 2+ qts of oil per 1200 miles. Warranty for both was useless. Never again.

You should start a second channel and call it "Racer EV". Good video but I'm not a fan of EVs especially if you travel in rural areas. I would say 99% of the subscribers to this channel prefer gas powered engines.

Until it's stolen. As a previous owner of a KIA they are SLOW to respond to major issues that put the owners on the hook for repairs. Besides that, the newer designs and concepts are nice and improved. But I will never buy another.

They do look sweet. I have seen a couple in my area. They are fast but still not ready for a EV.

comparing an electric cars speed to what we previously had isn't very good. Manufactures can very easily can make an electric car have a bunch of power and torque. Probably all new electric cars will have over 400, because its just that easy to do

can get a model 3 performance for 8000 to 10000 less and it smokes the kia and has a way better charging network plus that ev 6 will be discountinued in a year or 2 , plus 200 mile range really

There are only two issues that would keep me from switching over to something like this (and I drive a 523hp BMW M550i x-drive). Disclaimer: I don't care about waking up the neighborhood with my boy toy exhaust system. Your noisy engine doesn't impress anyone...show me your tail lights...that's performance. First off, the range is terrible...200 miles, get real. Get it over 300, or 400 miles and then we'll talk. And secondly, and this has come up in other reviews of this vehicle, the controls that toggle the climate are ridiculous...go watch other reviews for the details.
