I watched it yesterday I felt sad for the husband

It obviously wasn't to be with her ex because he genuinely seemed to know very little about the plan, other than that she was going to leave her supposedly abusive husband. He also went to the police on his own about what he knew. Also, she definitely cared way more about the money than anything else. Oh, and her husband was using the funds to pay off credit card debt WHILE she was supposed to be missing. Seems her and her husband both knew what was up. The plan was always for her to come back.

That's the theory I was going with. Apparently it wasn't a match so she had to go back to her life.

It’s a nonspecific term and she was already very thin (for all we know she was already *extremely* thin before she left). And she had a broken nose, but that wasn’t affected by her supernatural healing powers. The two things about her health are things that one could easily do to oneself. Idk. It’s weird. I think it’s pretty clear she wasn’t kidnapped, at least not in the way she claimed. What DID happen, though? We’ll probably never know.

That area is a hot spot for human trafficking to Mexico. Imagine that happens to you and even you dont know what the people look like that took you. I imagine they told her that they would come for her family if she made too much noise, probably why she lays low. People who fake crimes dont show up with busted faces, broken noses and starved half to death

That's essentially what I think too. Went on a secret date with a guy and ended up getting abused by him. Lots of wiggle room for the details though. Did she intend to go for just a brief encounter or was she running away with the guy? Did he start abusing her right away or did it become abusive later? Finally, did she leave voluntarily or escape or get kicked out? I wonder if she told her husband the real story. Probably not.

Let’s just say that her abduction was legit and her husband’s reaction was authentic. Here’s the thing, when you’re freaked out, you ramble. I’ve had to call 911. I was in shock and just kept repeating the same thing over and over. Another thing is that many many many missing person cases aren’t taken seriously by law enforcement, at least not right away. Many times they wont declare someone missing until 72 hours later, because sometimes people do leave town or don’t show up for a few days without really being missing (stupid policy in my opinion, though). The husband may have been trying to make them realize that this wasn’t a case of just miscommunication between husband and wife. He was trying to explain that she had been taken violently (the hair ripped off) so they’d take him seriously. I have my doubts on her end of the story, but I genuinely think the husband didn’t know where she was and truly didn’t have any part or knowledge of her “abduction”. He was an emotional wreck during those weeks and that’s hard to fake.!

Teykel Meeka, I believe the husband had nothing to do with it and his 911 call didn't sound suspicious to me. He wasn't doing the usual hyperventilating or overacting guilty perps usually do.

It was a weird phone call! Started with his own alibi and then explaining why it was unusual only to come to the conclusion that maybe his wife was missing. Anyone who genuinely calls for help, would start with the actual emergency!

That alone is a red flag - either she is that deranged to go to that extent or something else happened to her that wasn't a scam for money online. I've seen some cases where women are used to lure other women close enough to take them, or may even be abusers/traffickers themselves.
