Knuckles is an American television miniseries created by John Whittington and Toby Ascher for the streaming service Paramount+, based on the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series published by Sega. It is a spin-off of the Sonic the Hedgehog film series and is the first live-action Sonic television series. The series takes place between the events of the films Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022) and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024), and follows Knuckles the Echidna as he trains deputy sheriff Wade Whipple in the ways of the Echidna warrior. Whittington was head writer, with Ascher as showrunner.

This show was apparently based on unused scripts or unused parts of the original script for the 1st movie and the budget was too low for the animation on Knuckles to be prevalent throughout the show. In my opinion, we could've done without it.

It’s funny they brought up this show reminded them of a Smosh video in the previous two episodes, but genuinely that freeze frame high five at the end made me think of Smosh when I first saw it. Ah well, looking forward to Ted season 2.

I mean, other than the fact of Knuckles barely being the main focus and hardly having any screen time or relevance to the plot, the show was honestly good. The villains aren’t bad, quite good for a tv show side project of a series. Wade’s writing and family relationships are just *chef’s kiss* (MWA).The references to the video games are nicely done. So overall this show was a decent side project.

As much as I love this show the show really should have been about Knuckles and teaching us more about his character and his backstory and maybe giving Wade AND HIM a character arc and it could have led into Sonic 3 like I imagined it would end with Knuckles fighting Shadow but no it has nothing to do with shadow other than the ESPN guys saying "This isn't the first time a talking animal has been here 50 years ago in 1974 there was a black one" or something like that.

The fact that Knuckles is supposed a smooth talker in this universe implies that he had a one night stand at some point before the events of the second film.

You can be a smooth talker without having a one night stand. Knuckles definitely wouldn't have, the show is technically for kids and even if it wasn't Knuckles is a minor plus literally everything about his character seems like someone who wouldn't even know what sex is regardless of the version because Knuckles is meant to be inexperienced in everything as his life was only about protecting the emeralds. (Yes I know this is a joke but you would be surprised by how many people can and will take it seriously)
