The Kriken -- Trace | Metroid Lore 

Back again, no more unplanned breaks! This video talks about Trace, the Kriken and what could happen with them in future. I'm sorry for not uploading. I don't have any excuses. The next video is going to be the Halo and Metroid video, 100%. I am not going to do anything else until that is released. This video was just to get me back into the flow, and it turned out to be more complicated than I expected. Also, thank you for the 400 Subscribers! I can't thank you guys enough for being patient with this slow git, but I'm gonna get back on top of it now!

The Hunters lore is honestly quite shallow,but it has unreal amounts of potential. I love the Kriken

I love the idea of Noxus and Trace developing a grudge because of their motives and the motives of their species that causes them to fight each other even after Hunters

The Kriken Empire is mentioned in AM2R!!! I know it’s probably not “canon” but I thought it was awesome to find a data log that featured the name.

I love in depth Metroid lore. Really hoping we see the kriken empire in future games

While Sylux is easily my favourite of the bunch (and clearly the one Retro had bigger plans for), I'd still like to see the Kriken return in a big way. Doesn't have to be the main focus, and I doubt Trace has the same staying power as Sylux to be a major antagonist, but given the Kriken Empire's threat level, they'd make for a great enemy force to deal with at some point. If we ever get another planet-hopping game like Prime 3, I can imagine Kriken hoards being a constant threat, and eventually a hive bossfight against them that'll deal a fatal blow to their conquest. Just imagine storming a planet half-taken over by the Kriken, with G-Fed troops at your back, in search of an important item, and seeing Space Pirates and Kriken soldiers battling it out.

I have always the impression that the floating "head" is the pilot cockpit that controls the rest of the robotic body. And the actual kriken is a small insectoid driving the exo skeleton inside that small capsule that looks like his head.

I wouldn't worry too much about the month-span. Your videos are high-quality, so I don't think anyone minds the long wait.

This channel is severely underrated! As a huge Metroid lore nut myself I love this sort of content. Giving your own sort of theory/idea of how the character in question could be used again in the series is also a nice touch that I don't see from other Metroid based content creators. Sub from me!

Trace kinda reminds the alimbic race , hope in the next games they expand more the hunter's , so much potential there , also running from a invisible letal enemy can be very interesting.

I bet the epic final battle against samus would be after dread were Samus had became a metroid and Trace wouldn't stand a chance but put up enough of a fight to force Samus to use Energy drain, killing Trace once and for all and giving Samus an upgraded phantom cloak ability.

i have been drawing kriken empire stuff i already draw a kriken tri walker tripod and kriken turret plasma mortar turret and a kriken battlecruser for there star fleet

Hey, I just want to say; you got nothing to apologize for, a lot of stuff happened your way during the past month and from what I can tell it all wasn’t pickles and daisies. So you not uploading is perfectly fine to me. But you know what they say, the pathway to success is a road rife with many failures. As for the content in the video, it was great! I think there is definitely potential for alternative antagonists than the usual space pirates+Ridley motif for there to be another game for the Kriken and Trace themselves. I for one want Nintendo to release Manga/Comics of all their titular series’, especially Metroid and F-Zero which I feel would work better in the American comic book style. I will say this however, for your idea of what to do with Trace; I personally wouldn’t have killed him off, but I would however put Samus in a situation where she not only gains the respect of both Trace and the Kriken race by beating him in a fierce battle once and for all and potentially being the catalyst towards peace between the Earth Federation and The Kriken, I mean based off of what I heard here; the Kriken are a warrior race and they probably have some sort of honor code based off of that since that is a common trope for all warrior species in sci-fi because if such codes of sorts didn’t exist, it’d be straight up anarchy and we know that to be unlikely with the Kriken (The Klingons, The Narn, The Wookiee’s, the list goes on of examples) and I think an insect type species that follows that would be an interesting attempt to grasp at that concept, but that is just my opinion. Here’s another idea, do we know for sure that the Kriken and the Space Pirates are not related in any way shape or form? Because two alien insect species inhabiting the same galaxy (presumably) is a statistical unlikelihood and I believe that there might be something worth touching upon with those similarities. Either way the Kriken have a surprising amount of potential to explore, and they came from one of the lesser popular titles in the series which makes it either ironic or remarkable!

Can Trace stick to walls like Spiderman?

Metroid has quite a lot of potential to be more than an Adventure game. I can totally see the franchise fit perfectly in an RTS or Battlefield-esque game. Where did you get the other Informations from? About Traces involvment with some chozo artifact?
