Exactly! My mom is pro-life/Christian… & I got pregnant about 6 months ago by someone that I was dating for a month… I decided to get an abortion but it ended up being an ectopic pregnancy. My mom was there for me through it all.. I asked her if it was a viable pregnancy if she would’ve wanted me to keep it given my situation (struggling single mom, college, work, etc.) & she said yes.. BUT, she said it wasn’t her choice, she doesn’t judge me for it & she would be there for me no matter what. So, while yes she would’ve preferred me to keep it, she realized it wasn’t her choice. Is she still pro-life? Yes. But, atleast she had some insight.

What people don’t see is the suffering women go through after they get the abortion. Friend of mine went from thriving in college, got an abortion, turned into a drug addict, and barely escaped with her life. It was all trauma related to the abortion. There should at *minimum* be more education for the women getting abortions. It says everything that Planned Parenthood doesn’t let women see the baby on the ultrasound. There’s a reason for that. Planned Parenthood was also created by Margret Stanger and strategically put in black neighborhoods which is devastating. It’s such a tough conversation. I just see how abortion has effected some women that I’m close to. All of them wish they wouldn’t have gone through with it.

I was SA by a 27 year old man who had groomed me when I was 17. I went to a planned parenthood, and they cleaned me up, gave me informational aftercare, and a few weeks later- preformed an “A” for me and told me it was okay. I grew up Christian and held an immense amount of guilt with me for all of these years. But, if I hadn’t had these resources, who knows where I’d be today… Thank you for the ending of this video, Josh.

Hey you, what you needed at that time was love and support from your loved ones. “A” is a sin, but you were so young and scared. Not to mention the trauma. The first sin came from that man who hurt you. I’m sorry it happened to you! I wished you had some one there at that time who would give to you the help and support you needed to avoid that decision. We can’t turn back, but i want you to know, God still loves you and still wants you to come home. He still wants to redeem you from your sins and guilt. I wish i could give you a hug.

I am always glad to see someone that can see both sides, and 100% agree with you on what should actually have been done by Cole and Sav. How is throwing a baby shower helping lower abortions rates? @@ashruz_3095 See, I actually see it the opposite way. It really hit me hard when you were speaking about church goers and pastors doing it wrong. I was part of a fairly large church in San Diego. I was very involved in groups and went to church Wednesday and twice on Sunday. I became ill and not 1 person reached out from the church. This illness has made me disabled and receive SSDI and food stamps but can barely pay my bills. My rent is set to up in August another 10% which will be an increase of $120. No one has offered me help so I am done with church. I never thought at almost 41 I would have to cancel doctor appointments because I don't have money for gas. Sorry for my son story. I placed my daughter in an open adoption when I was 16. I got pregnant in a horrible way by a horrible person who still has never had any karma or been held for his actions. And I was still bullied and had many issues for doing adoption. But I know the same thing would have happened no matter what choice I would have made. At one of my doctor appointments, I was told how strong I was because I chose life and chose to give that baby to someone who couldn't have kids. That bothered me and still to this day it bugs me. She doesn’t need the pastor’s, congregants or any other human’s forgiveness. That is between her and her Maker,if she believes that way. What exactly was that suppose to accomplish? And what about the young man that got her pregnant? Would they make him stand up and do the same? Pastors and Churches like this turn more people away from God than they ever attract. And I think one day, those in charge of these Churches will have to answer for what they have done and how they treated people.

One of the ladies I used to work with years ago, was the epitome of what I considered a good Christian woman to be. She was always happy. She never complained. She never gossiped. She worked hard. She lived modestly. She also loved to have fun. She, along with another coworker, & I sat near eachother & we always had the best time. The Christian woman was Sharon & our other friend was Fannie. Fannie had 'blonde' moments (w/ naturally dark brown hair) that would leave us all three laughing because Fannie always realized her moments in the most silly way. I've probably told Fannie a million times over the years that I felt Sharon was the only woman I ever met that I felt was a true example of how us women should be. I hope we can progress toward living by our own moral standards and not a set of rules and regulations set by religion. My personal faith is that a higher power of creator would not ever stand in judgement of a good person. homosexuality have been looked on differently for time immemorial…it was completely acceptable at many points in history….If anyone should be judged it is the people that would cast out their friends and family for not fitting in. All of the things you are speaking about in this video is why I quit going to church. I got pregnant at 16. Once the cat was out of the bag and everyone knew, I randomly told my GMa I wanted to go to church with her one Wednesday. The youth pastor went OUT OF HIS WAY to speak on teen pregnancy that night while I was sitting there VERY pregnant. It was humiliating. He called me that night to apologize, but he shamed me publicly in front of MANY of my school peers. Your apology should be as public as my shaming was. I’ve not been to that church since and I grew up there.

Throwing a baby shower is fine, but it doesn’t make things okay. Cole has no idea what it takes to care for a baby esp when you are completely alone. They have never had to want for anything with their kids, they don’t know what it’s like to work two jobs while staying up all night with a fussy baby, and having no one to lean on. My friend was pregnant with her son when some lady from church came up to her and told her that she would raise the baby for her in a home with a mother and a father like God wanted, who does that? My biggest question is why are men the ones talking about what’s in a woman’s mind who is contemplating abortion? Why aren’t other women there to offer support without judgment. I applaud Josh for bringing up the point that the guys aren’t the ones that have to face the consequences. It’s always the woman that is looked down on, as if she impregnated herself. I was told by someone in leadership who had been like a brother to me that I was raped because I allowed myself alone with a man. He turned it into my fault, and they do it to women all throughout the church. My grandma once told me that the worst thing that could have happened to her when she was young was to get pregnant without being married. She told me she would’ve been sent away, and the baby would either be given up for adoption or there would suddenly be a new baby sibling. It makes me wonder how many families have been torn apart over the years after they found out that their “sister” was actually their mom the whole time. The church encouraged things like that. Nothing will change until we start making a real difference in these women’s lives.

I was pregnant at 19 out of wedlock and heavily involved in the church. I was judged so harshly by them. It's the same either way. Whether I had an abortion or not, I would have been looked at so badly. I had to fight to have my daughter dedicated because my now husband and i were not married. I'm no longer in the church, for many reasons. But that was one of them.

I had an abortion at age 21 due to failed contraception it was a very hard choice for me to make. People act like abortion is easy. I did what I thought the best choice was. I had a lot of mental problems at the time and didn’t feel like I would raise that child correctly. I am at peace with my decision and I am doing things I never thought I could now such as going to college and getting my bachelors degree.

41:36 This. This is why I don't tell my story, why I've lied about what I chose, even though I was led to believe it was the only choice I had that wouldn't completely destroy my future. This is why I felt that a miscarriage at 14wks was actually a punishment from God instead of a one in a million biological anomaly. This is why I've felt that I never deserved the happy and healthy children I have. Thank you Josh for finally letting my wash that away with some cleansing tears. If nothing else, it truly reached my heart.

💚 you deserve your children. You should stop carrying the guilt and shame. Your miscarriage was not a punishment; as you know, it happens. I feel you. I was 17, treated badly by THOSE self-righteous women , who condemned me. Yet one of those women's daughter got pregnant and was treated like a fragile, precious thing. She gave her baby up for adoption, both times she got pregnant. I got married (and have been for 40 years) and had my baby. Want to know the most hypocritical thing about it all? My mother-in-law was one of THOSE women. But when my daughter was born, I'd have to take my baby so I could feed her. My child was treated like she was the most precious gift and all THOSE women couldn't get enough of her while at the same time treating me like a pariah. Then there were the women who would put THOSE women in their place. One of the most loved one, Della threw me a baby shower, it was amazing and she basically took me as her own and made me feel like I wasn't trash. I graduated with my class, with a 4.0, while taking care of a new born. I also had full ride scholarships to the schools I had chosen. I gave them up, so another could have them. I knew that I could not raise a baby, even with my husband, and go to law school. I tend to have tunnel vision focus on things and my baby would have not had what I gave her. Hugs to you mama💚💚

There were other reasons why too. I'm sorry but I'm in no way religious but sometimes I do feel like I'm being punished for it by that being the one and only time I'd ever carry a child. I was 12 weeks gone. I had a miscarriage in 2002 and I feel that was my "punishment". I wish I'd kept my baby back then but hindsight is a wonderful thing. Your video made me cry at the end. Are family vlogs more appreciated (for whatever reason) by Christian moms so that's the audience they're trying to target? Is the lifestyle appealing in general? Personally I'm not even religious but I've always found it kind of heart warming to watch family vloggers live (or pretend to live) their nice Christian life so there might be something to it that pulls people in. I had no idea at first it was actually its own niche because the only family I've ever watched are Sam and Nia and compared to many others they're actually not that crazy as far as religion goes (despite being Mormon).

Ran a school, offered "scholarships" to needy moms, offered jobs, even did it continually for moms who kept making crappy life choices because they knew it wasn't the kids fault. You saying that whenever people are in trouble or in need of help the last place they want to go to is a church literally hit me so hard. You don’t feel safe because of the judgment, the gossip, the stares, the shaming etc. & that’s not the way God intended to be at all. There is a saying “I like your Christ but I don’t like your Christians”. When people say they left the church or were hurt by the church they weren’t hurt by God,the pews,or the Bible. They were hurt by the people.

I hate that he says everything will be okay. I know this off topic, but my son has a disability and I hate when people say things like, "only special people get special children" or "God never gives you more than you can handle." It's not true. There is literally nothing special about me and I think mentally, I'm the least qualified person to handle having a child with a disability. It negates my grief and worries which are real. Sometimes we get more than we can handle and that's when we need to be okay to ask for help and grieve properly. It really hurt and damaged my relationship with God when I believed that He somehow orchestrated for my child to have a disability and for me to be chosen to be his parent. It felt like a punishment even though it isn't. It was very painful to go through. My relationship with God has gotten stronger, but it was very painful to endure.

You are so right. God does give out more than we can handle. I, like you have lived it in also in a different way. I was the child that was handicapped.Actually deformed. I'm old now and my parents could have done something to help me. Many surgeries,( Which I have gone through as an adult), were needed to help reconstruct parts of me. Unfortunately my face was the main deformity. I was teased everyday of my life. I can hear your pain and that means you love and care about your child. I honestly hope you find someone that helps make life easier for you and your beautiful child. Someone that will give you a break sometimes because they love you both and just wants to give you a break. I hope you also find some help with your disabled child. I hope there are organizations out there that will give you the help, time and caring to deal with the many feelings you are going through and can offer help with your child's care.

I went to an AOG church for a little over 12 years. I dated one of the praise and worship team members for 5 1/2 of those years. We got pregnant and broke up (I left him and not because of the pregnancy) and we both quit going to church. I went back a couple months later and literally 2 people said something to me. It was a very eye-opening moment for me. These people who used to shower me with love now wouldn’t even look at me. I’m unlearning so much of what the church taught me and I truly feel like a better, more loving, way more accepting person now than I ever was in the church. I never once considered “A”, but I can totally see how someone in that situation would feel like they couldn’t go to their church “family” and feel accepted or even get help in order to keep and support their baby. It’s sad how the ones that claim to love everyone and never judge are the ones that turned their back on me and judge me. This is all just my thoughts opinions from my own personal experience.

I completely agree with you Josh.. I was just in a Traumatic Car Accident. My kids had just been dropped off so I could start a new job the next morning. I was stopped in traffic on the freeway, turned my hazard lights on. A Durango was going 70+ and didn’t brake, or stop & rear ended me, THEN impacted me into the Semi trailer in front of me. Sandwiching me in between. The impact was so hard, My seat came off the rails & I was trapped into the steering wheel/dashboard. My rogue was mangled. I am a single mom who left abuse with my 3 innocent children…. I have been trying to get on my feet. I was starting a new job. I was trying so hard. However, I have gone to the people around me who I thought would be there for us… They ignored me, OR they said “Hang in there, everything will be okay. I’m so sorry to hear that, I’m glad you survived”. I have legal help for the accident BUT it can take 8-12 months for settlement to be completed. My mom made a GO FUND ME for me and my kids to help with bills, groceries, any Uber I have to use for appts because I still don’t have a rental car. Those people I have always been there for & I have paid my Tithing to, have ignored me and won’t help even SIMPLY SHARE MY GO FUND ME LINK. I can’t work now, I have doctors notes & I have to go to treatment 3x a week, injections now and possible surgeries. I live in pain everyday, I have 3 babies to provide for and I can’t. This wasn’t my fault and I’m not willing to give up YET. BUT I need help, I need support .My mom is an Angel and helps with the kids but is disabled herself and can’t afford to help me. I got an eviction notice on my door. I have no groceries. My daughter had to be taken out of Preschool. I have lost everything, and am currently losing everything. I have tried to go to the church for help & they pick and choose their favorites and turn away people who need it. They won’t even spread around my Go Fund Me incase other people would even be willing to help us My life is falling apart for something that isn’t my fault. I have applied for help, but it’s the timeline that’s impossible to wait for. I resonated SOOO much with what you said about the church. I just can’t believe how cold people have treat me, and how hard it is to get someone to share a link even. The only help I get is being told to “Go to a food bank”. I’m grateful those resources are available but like you said, that don’t help the financial part of anything… You can’t prepare food if you don’t have a apartment to cook in. GOD BLESS YOU JOSH & everything you do for people! THANK YOU FOR PROTECTING INNOCENT CHILDREN! 💖💖🙏🏼🙏🏼💋💋

Well I’m so blessed to realize my non-denominational Christian church here in SoCal is & has done AMAZING things for our community and supporting our teen mom/pregnant half way homes we just were able to provide 2 vans for the home among other things, we also support a disable & mentally challenged sensory home, we also run food pantry&dinner every night to our community senior Samaritan center our church is busy and providing for our community 7days a week I didn’t know other churches weren’t providing we are reaching a goal of 30churches by 2030 and halfway there I’m so blessed to be able to be apart of this I love our pastor Rusty George🙌🏼
