Their whole opinion here is “Wow there are a couple programs that give people a crib and diapers! Now there is no reason to ever need an A again!” I don’t think millionaires get a say in what it’s like to live without. A program that gives out a crib and diapers doesn’t pull someone out of severe poverty. It doesn’t pay the rent or keep the lights on. Doesn’t pay for childcare. I wish they’d just stfu.

I was so excited meeting a lot of them at PlayList Live 2017 after seeing them having a great time earlier years, but the hype wasn’t the same that year or later years. By aborting your baby, how is that furthering your life? A baby should be the one thing to motivate and pull you out of poverty. An abortion is only going to further the mental anguish that a lot of mothers try to bury through drugs and alcohol that kept them on the streets to begin with. Furthermore, do you know the percentage of abortions that are from women “living in tents”, it’s an extremely small percentage of the data. We’re not talking about a fringe minority, I’m talking about the overwhelming majority. And it’s not women who were sexually abused or living in tents.

This is not just a Christian biblical theory. Islam is also the second religion that shares the similar views on abortion. And people who are religious will oppose the idea of abortion. If non religious people can't respect religious views then how do they expect us to do the same for them? Either choose to respect our views and let others feel the way they wanna. No one is saying what they are doing is hypocrisy. Maybe they are hypocrites. But many people are religious. And so you can point at them being hypocrites but not to an entire religious community to be hypocrites. We aren't them. In 2007 I was pregnant with (very wanted and loved) twin boys. At 21 weeks we found out that they both had Omphalocele (there vital organs were outside their bodies). IF they survived birth, they would need multiple organ transplants. The specialist called them "incompatible for life outside the womb". We were crushed. We took a few days to research, talk with other doctors and at my next appointment we learned Twin A had passed. We made the decision to terminate the pregnancy. Due to being over 21 weeks, I had to be induced and experience early labor. This video was a little triggering, in all honesty. I thought the documentary ignored so much nuance. I found it disappointing- but let me know what y’all think. 1. It graced over the very real issue of poverty. They made it seem like pregnancy centers could address this, ignoring other major cost areas such as education, childcare, medical/insurance costs, etc. Poverty is a common and valid factor in choosing to have an abortion. 2. Women in abusive relationships. Especially because they are more vulnerable to being coerced into sex/raped, abused women often fall into this position. If a woman in a toxic domestic environment feels the child she would bring into that home has even a chance of being subject to abuse (be it physical or emotional) that is valid cause for an abortion. And don’t come at me with any “she just needs to leave him” arguments until you’ve looked at the statistics surrounding that harrowing ordeal. 3. Mothers struggling with addiction. This one should be self explanatory. Whether its drugs or alcohol, that could mean serious lifelong impacts if that pregnancy is carried to term and birthed. Furthermore, someone not instantly 100% dedicated to their sobriety and recovery will not be able to provide a stable environment even IF they HAD the child. 4. I don’t recall them saying anything about what women who are sexually assaulted and impregnated are supposed to do…. 🙃 5. They didn’t acknowledge the major privilege that people with supportive families have. A privilege that even Savannah shared at 19. I could say more. There was a lot of rhetoric that stigmatized abortions, which isn’t productive for anyone, and the tactics felt gross.

Someone’s decision, especially about something as traumatic as abortion, should be theirs and theirs alone. Their pro life arguments only last until the baby is born, what happens after is rarely anyone’s concern. (Not saying everyone is a failure if you don't have money) But if you're not ready for a child because you're a minor, have mental health problems that most likely will get passed on to your kids, were R or just not ready for a kid at all, you can not fix that by someone giving you freaking diapers, a car seat, formula, crib and 95$ a month in food stamps. Just because you may get a little assistance does not change the fact that you are not ready or able to mentally, physically, emotionally take care of a baby. And taking away a woman's choice to do that CAN make for child abuse, child neglect, addiction, mental health and worse things then that. Every choice has its consequences... I'm just going to stop there or I could write a whole damn book. Iykyk.

Also the amount of women in poor communities that keep having babies because they cant afford BC or are taught BC is a sin and wont have abortions because again they are taught that it is a sin (because if you do research most if not all people in these poor communities have a religious background). @@briannad2470 umm if a woman chooses to get an abortion it's done well before any sort of viability....and yes I am very much pro choice. I was forcibly impregnated by a 28yr old man at 16. I was still in highschool. I wanted to get an abortion but wasn't allowed by my parents, and threatened to be kicked out, even though I didn't ever give concent to sex, let alone a pregnancy. I later miscarried at 17 weeks, and nearly lost my life, and have permanent complications. So you can be pro life all you want, your body, your choice. However women are allowed to make whatever choice they see fit. There's lots of reasons why termination is the better option for a woman. I wish my parents would have terminated me, instead they had me, abused me physically, sexually, and mentally until finally the cops and CPS listened. I would often be deprived of basic needs like food and water as a child! They were in no way equipped to handle me. I went into the system until my grandmother moved across the country to come get my little sister and I. The foster family we had treated us like 2nd class citizens, and would say horrible things about us. So adoption and foster care isn't a great option. Especially since most kids go on to age out of the system never to be adopted....many children that are given up face horrific abuse at the hands of foster parents, group homes, and even adoptive parents. So yea...bc of all that, I'm fine with termination of a unviable fetus.

My country is filled with this poor kids that were never wanted and therefore, never loved so people like this to advocate for this life for a kid, forget about the mother for a moment, the kids deserve to come to this world when their are going to be loved and taken care of. Here people call any pregnancy a "blessing" because they would rather not even ask the mother if she wants a baby, they just convince her that a baby at any time of their life is just the best thing that could ever happen to them and that is just a lie.

My close friend got pregnant with an iud and takes anti seizure medicine dialy for epilepsy. She found out at 16 weeks her baby was severely deformed and had a chromosomal abnormality. She chose to terminate. Her and her husband are Christians. It's not Christians and non Christians. Many people seek termination for many didderent reasons. You can believe in God and get pregnant young or by an abuser and choose to abort. That doesn't define if you believe in God or not. Good commentary as usual.

My mum had a medical termination of twins. She had just had her third case of placenta privea and her 3rd csection 4 months prior. She was also going through a cancer scare at the time specifically cervical cancer (which thank God was a false alarm) She was around 7-8 weeks. No one was measuring over a week behind the other. Not only that her parter was struggling with his mental health, couldn't work and was developing an addiction to the meds he was on ( he is way better now) and she had just had her 5th child 4th in 5 years. It would have killed her. She bleed through her pregnancies with placenta previa and her body kept trying to miscarry the pregnancies (constantly in hospital being told your about to lose your baby) . Sometimes it is literally the safest option and trust me we now would love to have those 2 not just 1 but 2 babies here with us how amazing would that have been. But I would rather have my mum over losing them all. Im saying this after having 4 early losses, and am only just hopefully being blessed with my rainbow due august 4th. It saves lives sometimes! Literally saves lives. Religion is out of the question moral standards such as realising if you cared about life youd also care about the lives of those having to go through the pregnancy.

Again, this just shows how oppressed women still are. Instead of telling girls, teens, and single women that they are going to hell for getting pregnant before marriage they need to be given education and support. Guaranteed this is pet of the reason why girls, teens, and women go the big A route. They feel ashamed and outcasted. There is zero need for it!!! Also if people just minded their own damn business maybe we would see a lot less big A. It takes a village to raise a child right? So then why do we say such negative things to girls, teens and women? Why are they not supported when they become pregnant? The problem is with society for sure.

So many people go, MY BODY MY CHOICE, only for A. What about my body my choice when it comes to birth control? Oh, that's because many people who support A don't also promote birth control and it's sad. And while birth control is not 100% helpful all the time and A is needed for some people, people still should have education about A AND birth control.

The seven characteristics of life include: responsiveness to the environment; growth and change; ability to reproduce; have a metabolism and breathe; maintain homeostasis; being made of cells; and. passing traits onto offspring. The first one, responsiveness to the environment, is not achieved until birth. Therefore, according to biology, life begins at birth. Another example: a virus is a cell, but is NOT living (because it doesn’t meet all 7 characteristics of life listed above).

This is disgusting, this is a family channel and they are showing graphic images of how an a***** is done, so inappropriate for a young child to be seeing this. I was disturbed! Some people think believe there was nothing wrong with this “documentary”. Coming from a single mother that considered this route but didn’t, it really bothers me how these two people who are privileged are sitting there trying to talk about this topic when it’s very clear what they believe in. We all understand what it is, yet comparing it to the Holocaust and genocide when maybe a woman has been “r..” and now pregnant they really have a lot of nerve.

I mean the question of when life starts can’t be fully answered. Because it depends what you think life is. Are cells alive? Technically, but so is a tumor alive? It’s a group of cells that keeps growing? Like in early pregnancy. 🤷🏼‍♀️ that’s why a lot of the more strict laws are around heartbeat. But then is eating meat a sin? It’s killing a living being?

As a mom who birthed two boys (15 and 3), lost a little girl 12/17, and raising my ex best friend’s two girls (15 and 10) as my own, if you aren’t willing to step in and make any of these kids your own, you don’t get a dog in this fight. When you see a child see serious abuse, neglect, or even death it should break you. When my own husband tells me the horrors of his childhood with his mother and how he wishes that no child experience that, I listen. If you aren’t willing to fight for the kids that are here, you don’t get to fight for the ones who aren’t. I wouldn’t choose an A for myself, but I don’t make decisions for anyone other than myself. I love all of my children dearly and would gladly add more if a child needed a loving home. You have to advocate for those who are suffering here living and want the best for every living child.

I believe it’s required that when you go to get an abortion, you have to receive a “run down” of what’s going to take place during the procedure and what will take place afterwards (surgically or pill form). They tell you everything and then have you sign a consent form stating that you were informed and you still want to do the procedure. In 25 states (I think), you actually get a call by a counselor 24 hours before the procedure and they tell you everything and ask you if you still consent. They also tell you about counseling you can receive afterwards. So this whole “people need to know what’s actually happening” narrative is dumb, because in todays world (in the US), everyone is aware of the steps and what they are getting into when they choose to have an abortion. It’s just like when you go for a surgery on your leg, they have to tell you everything and then you sign a consent form. People aren’t going in blind and thinking “abortions are so humane and not traumatic, I’m going to do this all the time”. Believe me, women know how traumatic they are and we still choose to follow through with it because it’s *our* choice/life. Unless you’re going to some sketchy place for your abortion, you know what’s happening. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Fiance and I had a talk about abortion on our first child. We was dating at the time and we were living together when our little accident happened and we decided to keep up because we believed we was good financially and in our relationship to do this. I told him unless we are getting married and such we can keep the baby cause I'm not gonna be some other baby mama. Luckily he wanted to marry me anyway at the time and we had support from family as well. We are now on our 2nd one another accident and we are happy. We made the choice. Everyone should have the choice to do what they wanna do with their pregnancy. Doctors will only do abortion at a certain time limit. The only time a abortion happens farther along is because it's health risk for the parent or the child. My co worker had to have a abortion at 12/13 weeks pregnant cause she was a high risk and the child passed away anyway. She can't hold a pregnancy though the doctor believe she can in the future once they find out what's going on.

That imagery is accurate! A baby is fully formed by the end of the first trimester, from teeth forming inside the gums to male or female genitalia. After the first trimester, it's all about growing in size and getting the organs to a fully functional stage. Have you ever seen a micro-preemie? A baby born before 30 weeks? They can survive as early as 21 weeks (although many do not and they often have health issues), and you can see they are fully formed babies, just very small.

If someone choose that path for them, we should still stand by them and love them. You don't have to 100% agree with them, but you always have to show compassion. my stance on this is: you don't like abortions? Don't get one. But don't tell others what to do with their bodies and lives. The amount of women that are now going to be dying in Poland because of the barbaric laws my country has put in place. Several have already died of sepsis because "the baby's heart was still beating". Second of all. As someone who left the church after forcibly growing up in it, it's videos like this, crap like comparing it to the holocaust, that makes people dislike Catholics/Christians. And yes, I am aware, it's not all but sadly the ones that think like this, are the louder part.

We also do not have any federal maternity leave, we do not have universal day care making it extremely expensive, and workers also don't have any rights so you can get fired for any reason (unless specifically for being pregnant) and lose your health insurance. I got let go in my third trimester and lost health insurance right when i have to start going to the obgyn every two weeks. Maybe if we took care of our ppl more and gave some basic needs then it would be easier for people to bring life into this world.
