I can't wait for Everleigh's tell-all video when she's in her late teens.

I was blown away when she said a reason to homeschool was for her help with her other kids. Yes kids can love helping with their siblings but it isn’t their job. There’s a big difference between them helping when they want and pulling them out of school for help. They both stay home and she needs her child’s help with the other kids? That’s so insane to me.

Says she loves her school, takes it away Says she loves socializing, keeps her away from friends Says she loves her schedule, disrupts it Says she is independent, puts her in a situation where she has to be dependent on them for education etc

You can actually see the hope has drained from Everleigh’s eyes the last couple of years. She’s such a beautiful sweet child and is not being fed the food children require: true unselfish parental love. You can tell the mother has a lot of internalized misogyny and is a mean girl to her children behind the scenes. Mommy dearest type. Everleigh bears a big emotional responsibility in that family.

Pulling her out of school because that’s “extra hands even if she’s a 9 year old”?….. News flash: If that's their primary reason for pulling her out, that’s ✨ILLEGAL✨ I’m all for homeschooling. My husband was homeschooled and he’s as sharp as a tack. We plan to homeschool our kids too. But you don’t choose homeschooling because you want child to “help out” at home with your other kids. That’s your job as a parent. You could be investigated by DCFS for that, at least in my home state.

She let slip at around 10:55 where she says "...they go to school two days a week and then they're home three days a week, which I feel like that's perfect for me". Perfect for "me"? Shouldn't this be about Everleigh, her education and what's best for HER? 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I homeschool my children. I can guarantee that if this mom is too lazy to get up and drive her kid to school, she is not going to be fit to homeschool her. It's not an easy undertaking and takes effort, and it also means she has to take care of her all day as opposed to her being taken care of all day at a school. 👍

There should be a law where you can not remove your kid from school unless you can provide documentation for a homeschooling curriculum.

It isn't Everleigh's responsiblity to take care of her siblings. If they can't take care of the kids they have without the help of a nine year old they shouldn't have more.

I'm ENRAGED. I've spent a lot of time in developing countries interviewing poor farming families. On average, my farmers have a fourth grade education. The female farmers even lower than that. Those girls are pulled out of school to help with younger siblings, fetch water, work in the fields, etc. It's an awful problem that holds women back and keeps entire families in a poverty trap. The fact that this wealthy family is flippantly depriving their daughter of an education is insane. What a bunch of morons. I want them to have to meet some of my farmers and sit down and explain their decision.

Nope, you're right. Everleigh growing up is an inconvenience for them and they probably need to reel back some control. Also, they most likely can't have educated people like teachers around them because of their awkward, bizarre lifestyle. It's so sad that they doing this to her.

This poor child. I hope she gets far far away from these narcissistic assholes when she’s eighteen and then sues their asses. Not only for the lack of her privacy, relying on her to be a secondary caregiver, overloading her schedule to an extreme amount for any nine year old but for causing her trauma. No nine year old should look dead in the eyes. If Tommy actually cared for his kid which I believe he does he would fight for her and her education.

I’ll admit that I used to enjoy watching the Labrant Family’s content a few years ago. Now I’m starting to see that they’re really taking things too far, especially with the child exploitation and the clickbait. Also, a child, especially as young as Everleigh should never have to feel obligated to take care of much younger siblings. I’ve experienced this when I was around her age, and it wasn’t fun. It was their decision to have three more children, so let them take the parenting responsibilities. Everleigh’s obligation should only be to enjoy her childhood and grow up well.

There are so many performing arts schools in California for kids that sing, dance, act and get professional classes there while also getting their normal education. Everleigh should be going to a school like that where she can still dance and do what she wants to do while also being taught basic Math, English, Science, etc. The kids that go to those schools often get scholarships and end up going to college to pursue their careers from there.

I feel cheated because my parents took me and my 8 siblings out of school to homeschool us. The only semi-consistent thing we did was read the book of Mormon every morning. What happened to me should be considered religious abuse

something i found interesting when i watched the labrants is how they are choosing to take everleighs educatiion away and not take some of her dance time away... i mean if they have so little time together take something that wont ruin her... also.. if you take her out of education that ruins her social life and her chance to learn from her other peers... there is so much else you learn from being in school besides just what the teachers teach you... and the fact that one of the reasons why sav is possibly going to be taking her out of school is to help around the house... not the kids job at all... excited to see what josh has to say

Savannah says "that's perfect for me" in regards to Everleigh being home 3 days a week. The fact that she's not even considering what her daughter wants. It's all about her. If you need extra hands hire a nanny. The lack of education is showing I can't.

The Ingham Family in the UK did this, the parents can hardly speak never mind educate their children. The kids now have no friends and are stuck with their parents 24/7, completely socially isolated while there’s no evidence of any kind of education at home. The eldest also took on the role of baby sitter for her younger siblings. They’re currently dragging their 5 kids around Ireland in a tiny little van, which isn’t big enough for 2 people, weeks before their 16 year old should be taking her exams. If someone doesn’t intervene the 2 youngest won’t ever learn to read or write. It’s appalling.

I was "homeschooled" at 9 just so I could be home to take care of my little brothers. Let me tell ya, it did not do me any favors academically. I was held back a year when I started regular school again. 100% against this.

This is the most insane parenting perspective Ive ever come across. I have a 9 year old. the thought of taking him out of school because I need help with the younger ones at home is opposite of what my instincts tell me. This is abnormal.

And then they will want a damn gold start for “Teaching” her. The real credit goes to parents who are willing to admit when they can’t be enough. My mother has learning differences. We went to public school and when we got to the point where she felt she couldn’t even help with our homework we immediately got a tutor. Sometimes the best thing to do is admit you aren’t the best person for the job. I know not everyone can afford tutors or specialized schooling but these people can afford every service! And luckily now with things like social media and FaceTime parents are able to reach out to their friends and colleagues for questions they don’t know the answers to.

Unfortunately my father did the same to me, He pulled me out of school in the 9th grade to take care of my step mothers kids. I was called their built-in babysitter 😔 Yes they effed me up. Luckily at 16 I got away from them!!

We saw Everleigh this past weekend at a dance thing. She was so mean and rude to everyone. I was off to the side just people watching waiting for my daughter, who has no interest in her, but people were crowding.

After my experience being homeschooled I will ALWAYS be 100% against it. My mom started homeschooling my sisters and I the year I would have started kindergarten. I learned well up until 2nd grade then my mom gave up and never taught anything but never enrolled me in school. I didn’t learn division until 7th grade, or cursive till 5th. On days when we did do school it was like two worksheets in the entire day. Finally in 9th grade I talked my mom into letting me go to public school but I failed every single class because I was SO behind. Now as a 24 year old I’m struggling to find a nice job, I have no ged because of homeschool. I understand not everyone’s homeschool experience will be that awful but I also hated missing out on everything, I never had friends, and I was EXTREMELY shy because I wasn’t used to being around other kids except for dance which was 45 minutes a week. I am going to value my childrens’ education so much. I want them to have what I never got to have

Homeschooled from 3rd grade up, super pro-life and super conservative Christian: I would drag myself away on my hands and knees from these people. There are excellent homeschool programs that have active, instant involvement w/ students concerning learning issues and lessons and test preps... and these two will probably do NONE of it. They just want to parentify their daughter. Sad.

Scale back dance not education. The 2 day program thing usually only does certain subjects then she would be in charge of teaching the other subjects. I think she wants to see the response she gets to see who would be interested in that content

What they are TRYING to say is that, "Everly's schedule is too busy for us as parents. Now that we have another one on the way, we need her here to "help"."... as a single mother of 3 girls, it honestly drove me nuts when my oldest daughter would want to miss class trips, trips with friends, etc., because she wanted to stay home and help with her sisters. I absolutely loved and appreciated where her heart was at the time, but I found myself always reminding her that she AND her sisters are MY responsibility.

im a mom of 6 with my oldest being 9 as well. Ive never never needed my oldest or any of the others to help with a sibling EVER. This is not ok. YOU chose to have another baby not that little girl! This child is going to resent you!

Going to school as a nine year old only two days a week would be miserable for that child. She’d feel left out of everything. Educationally it’d be bad, and socially it would just be a nightmare.

I remember around Christmas time Savannah posted pictures of the kids on Christmas and not one of Everleigh. People asked where she was and Sav said that Everleigh didn't want her photo or video taken. Every time I see one of their posts with Ev in it I wonder if Everleigh had a say in it. I know we only see select moments of their lives but she seems kinda over it

Kids should NEVER have to parent the children their parents decided to have! They’re not their kids!!! I feel like I see this a lot in the fundie community especially in big families but kids should get to be kids!!! Everleigh deserves to have her childhood. They’ve already taken so much of it away through RU-vid and stuff, don’t take school away too.

You are spot on, there is no reason why they can't hire housekeepers to help after the new baby (instead of putting that on their CHILD) or even hire a top tier in-home teacher if they are so set on pulling her from school to have her home more. It is mind blowing the lengths they will go to for money. Also.... I was homeschooled through high school and got a bachelor's degree from a state university. My mom was very smart and EXTREMELY dedicated at schooling my sister and me every single day. It is not for the uneducated or faint of heart, both of which the Labrants are.

Parents need to STOP making their other kids help parent their siblings. This is unacceptable, especially for them when they're extremely wealthy and have no reason to not hire extra help. I think it's a lie to cover up that they want her home more for their channel. If you can afford the help, you do not need a 9-year-old to help you. Period.

I work in a public school - we have a lovely girl that leaves 30-minutes early one day a week to go to dance…. and I bet she still eats dinner.

As a teen I was upset that homeschooling is illegal in my country, now I'm kind of glad it is. At least situations like this one can't happen.

Also, homeschoolers have PACKED schedules to enrich our kids educationally and socially. It’s definitely not the easy route to take if you are doing it right.

As a teacher, I have sadly seen several kids get pulled out of school and homeschooled for a couple years, only to be put back into school and so behind, several who are still at a kindergarten level by the time they’re in 4th grade! If a parent is going to do the homeschooling they need to pass a test or track that they will be teaching their kids!!

We chose to homeschool because I have a lot of friends who are teachers in the state we live in and they suggested it to me. I went to college for law and education, so homeschooling was something I knew I could handle (I did student teaching during multiple semesters at college). One of the main things people say about homeschooling is it’s hard to homeschool because it’s your own child, even for people who are skilled in teaching. So if they aren’t “trained” to teach, they’re going to struggle even more. After kindergarten, I had thoughts that maybe my daughter would benefit more in a more structured setting, bc some kids just don’t do well with the freedom of homeschooling. But my second child had open heart surgery at a week old, so when COVID hit, we knew we had to do homeschooling for at least another year or two. My daughter is now in second grade and I am seriously considering sending her to public school because this whole COVID experience has shown me how much more valuable socializing will help my kids. Especially since COVID shut down all the outside activities my daughter was doing (dance, tumbling, etc). Because our son is high risk we have had to isolate more than most and I can tell it’s taken a toll on my daughter. So in my opinion, I don’t think this is going to be good for Everleigh. I think she probably flourishes in school and with her friends. It sounds like they’re too busy to make content because she’s always got something going on, and they don’t like that. With more kids they have less time and that’s an issue for them. I think the only saving grace will be her dance and two days a week she’ll be in school. As a mom with two kids at home, I will say that yes it can be nice to have my 8.5yr old help out with my toddler when I’m not within reach. But we’re talking I’ll be going to the bathroom and my son will start throwing toys around and I’ll have to yell for my daughter to stop him. That’s the extent of her helping out. I can’t imagine keeping my daughter home BECAUSE she helps me out. Honestly, I think my days would be easier if my daughter was at school all day because I’d have less to juggle during the day. I can’t imagine a 9 year old helps out *so much* that they need her home. That just seems alarming to me.

Homeschool can be great for certain kids. But I don’t think you should just randomly pull them out of school because you think it’s a good idea.
