160 sq meters for a 1 bedroom is unreal. $1,600 for that is outstanding if compared to US prices. I was skeptical at the beginning but now I’m floored. I’m retired with SS and pension and could afford that. Trust me I’m not rich. I would consider it even at 75,000 bath per month. Mostly because I don’t waste money on BMW’s and Mercedes.
HI COOPER,,THIS IS ROBERT FROM LA. I WANT TO THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR EVERTHING I LEARNED FROM YOU ABOUT PATTAYA,, I ALLWAYS WANTED TO GO THERE,, IM 67 AND I WENT THERE MAY TO JUNE TO CHECK IT OUT,, I STAYED AT THE RIVIERA JOMTIEN ON THE 19TH FLOOR SEA VIEW CONDO,, IT WAS NICE,, I WOULD LIKE TO LIVE THERE,, IM REALLY BUMBED OUT THAT I DIDNT ASK YOU TWO OUT FOR DINNER,, I KNOW YOUR VERY BUSY, I MADE FREINDS WITH THE GUARDS AT THE RIVIERA,, THEY WHERE VERY KIND AND HELPFULL.. GOOD PEOPLE,, THE RESTAURANT NEXT DOOR WAS GREAT AND EVERONE WAS VERY NICE.
I was just in Pattaya for two nights - can recommend Dusit Thani hotel if you're only staying a few days, it has prime position on the beach. We walked from the hotel all the way to Walking St , for a walk up and down . Having watched many youtuber Pattaya vids, the size and scale of Beach Rd commercial zone was an eye opener that doesn't seem to come across in vids. I 'm late 50s, I'm left with the impression I definitely want to spend more time there in future years.
Wow a condo like that in the 🇺🇸to be poolside, beachfront, size and amenities would be over $5000/mo!!! James lives the life of a millionaire but at the cost of a westerner middle class 👍🏼😎
Just Wow ! That place is amazing ! I have seen rooms smaller than the storage of this condo😅 It's above my pricerange unfortenately but very impressive indeed. Thank for sharing Cooper. 👍
I’m paying $1800 month for a small one bedroom apartment with a view of a parking lot in Washington state..😂 his place is amazing..imagine in Miami what that would be ? Facebook marketplace has a two bedroom in the Cove for 85,000 Baht ..definitely a high end facility.
What do I think? If the shower can 5 Coopers plus plus plus. Lol then it must be worth it. Absolutely perfect Cooper. Nice beach and cleaner water to go swimming in the ocean. A little over my price range but let me dream for a little.
Wow, what a lovely place to live. Thank you for showing us your condo James. You are truly spoiling us, Coops, Thank you. BTW, the penthouse is mine when my lottery numbers come in! 😅
Great looking unit.. Just up my alley.. Heading there in October from Aus, would love a chance to have a coffee/beer with James and discuss his thoughts on the rent vs buy scene, plus how he's settled in.. Cheers!! Scott.. .
One drawback with only 25 residents (instead of the 100 max capacity) is that whenever there is a condo special assessment , i.e., storm damage repair, you have fewer people kicking in to share the cost. That being said, I doubt these wealthy residents have to worry about paying their share.
Hey Coop, thanks again, really nice condo complex / the Cove. You guys weren't swatting mosquitos, so what's up, thought there would be mosquitos in the garden area /pool area, no ?
Cooper I just rented a brand new never lived in pool villa with nearly 300 sm but at 80000 baht per month I would definitely had taken a deal like that instead Great Video I watched it to the end Well done
I’m guessing that the price on this is 160 sqm x 400 baht per month = 64,000 baht per month rent. This formula is how agents calculate base rent in Pattaya
Interesting condo, a ton of space although odd distribution and a lot of awkward spaces IMO. He could use an interior designer, I think it would enhance quality of life a lot, since it came unfurnished and since there's a lot of space and some nooks and crannies. I'm sure a good designer could work with his taste and his hobbies like bikes and cars and make a space that works for him.
About $1500 for that huge beach-front unit. Could get a small efficiency in my neighborhood in the US for double that $. Thanks Coop. Wondered where James was.
Nice condo but I can't see throwing my money away in rent. Will have to buy a pool villa, something that maintains value and I can do what I want. Thanks for the vid James and Coop!
WOW!! Awesome set up Coop! Just the billiards table or the bathroom is equal size to OLD Steve's 60 buck a month hut in Tres.. Unbelievable! Almost a kick in the balls to the life OLD Steve lives. Wow Coop! OLD Steve must be rolling on the ground in pain holding his groin after seeing this... No comparison to Tres.. Almost crazy for that amount of money in rent.
He's not paying that much more than I paid for my last unfurnished apartment in the Las Vegas area - in a 25+ year old building w/dated everything - maybe 70 sq mtrs - and definitely not on any body of water. So as much as this place here might sound 'expensive,' it really is only in Thailand terms. In the US, I estimate that this is a $3,000-5,000/month rental in any decent metro area, $5000+ in a 'nicer' area. So this is still a deal if it fits your personal budget imho.
Hi, Mr. Cooper you forgot your favourite words, " plus plus". Without these words i feel the video moves slowly. I am coming in September end from India, would like to meet you, if ok
That's one expensive Condo to rent at Western prices. You get what you pay for in Pattaya. Most people can't afford those prices. You have to be wealthy to pay that price. Why can't he admit truthfully the actual cost he is paying? That's why we are looking in to learn from you. It kind of defeats making the video about Condo rentals! I suspect he is paying 70,000THB a month. A smaller, normal 48 sq meter seafront Condo in that area costs about 30,000 to 44,0000 THB a month. This condo is 3 times a normal small one. Some people are paying Western prices now and being conned. Good luck to him. It's certainly a beautiful Condo. Buying this kind of Condo will cost you around 8 million THB I expect.
@@shinobibusiness I looked at one in Miami that was about double the square feet/meters with 2 levels, ocean side sea view for $250k USD to buy but the HOA on it was $2500 USD per month & property tax was like $1.2k USD per year. I looked up the maintenance fee on condos at this place & it's 60TBH per square meter which is $278.40 USD per month for this condo if its 160 square meters & you own it. So the Miami one was kind of on the cheap side to buy but the $2500 HOA per month + $1.2k per year property tax makes it much more expensive to own & live in.
