Didnt really change anything, anyone who knew the game of basketball already knew Jordan's resume and what he was about. IMO it did nothing but expose the double standards everyone else gets held to.
People respect Jordan as a player but I don't think they hold the bulls in the same regard as the Lakers and Celtics. The success of the bulls is solely reliant upon Jordan.
MJ will not be included in that title in the argument (bcoz clearly he was not yet.. hahaha) if not with the help from his devalued teammates. imaging the bulls with jordan without his teammates! will he be included included in that title argument? MJ did not single handedly the bulls, clearly,
A bunch of his teammates literally said they realised why he did what he did and they thanked him for not only pushing them, but giving them a opportunity to win at the highest level
Dont mind LeShannon. Just one of the many Bronsexuals posing as journalist who's salary is mostly funded by the LeBron James Foundation under the table.
@Jalen Rose if it wasn't for Skip, I'd still be a blind witness rooting for more talented losers rather than less talented winners. I value mental strength in athletes way more now because of Skip.
Documentary helped youngsters who didnt witness or educated themselves about olders era of basketball, and also others to see what degrees of difficulty Jordan and the Bulls were facing.
I Agree in a certain Sense... But if We want to talk about the Real Old Era of Basketball, go back to the 60s - the Days of Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, the Big O, Oscar Robertson, Etc the People that grew up on Jordan didn't get to watch those Guys Play... Everybody has their own Era
St 2593 you’re right most of us MJ fans didn’t watch the real old school. That’s why i’ve been watching 80’s finals and allstar games during quarantine. It’s awesome because its fast like todays game more than the 90’s but more physical.
Remember when Kobe told Lebron "passing your teammates the ball isnt the only way to make your teammates better" and the media crucified him for passing on the knowledge he got from MJ. Its really shedding light on that advice. It doesnt matter how much you pass your teammates the ball if they're not mentally tough and ready for big moments they'll play bad. I also like how Lebron fans bring up MJ punched little Steve Kerr and try to paint him as a bully but never bring up he punched Will Purdue a 7'1 Center as well.
Steve Kerr punched MJ first too, they never bring that up. What Lebron does is stat pad. When they lose he says it’s because “they” didn’t make their shots.
The show is what brought it up, not Lebron fans. And the show didn't talk about the Purdue incident. Blame it on the show for editing everything to perfection for MJ to look even better than he really was. Still wonder why MJ never tried it with Rodman, when it was obvious Rodman was uncontrollable.
Let's be real, Kobe Bryant was the same as Jordan behind the scenes with his teammates. He was a drill sargent and that's why he was a winner. LeBron doesn't have the energy and ruthlessness on the journey to success that Jordan and Kobe had. Jordan held everyone to the same standard as himself, perfection. Call it bullying or just call it plain starving to become a champion.
@@TrueProphit, out of what? None of them owe their careers after they retired from basketball to Jordan, as they do not work for him. What thing of value would they be excluded from with regards to statements made about MJ?
@@alezflores Yup, even the training and nutrition/wizards part of the convo he takes it way left. It's like dude, they're talking about a prime MJ. I don't know what he's not getting about that. SMH
How did it devalue him as a teammate? His actual teammates said he was a great teammate and that they needed him to be that way to elevate them and it was magnified when he left and Scottie failed when he tried to fill the leaders shoes
you’re exactly right. they “had” his teammates say that or they wouldve cut them out the documentary like his 1st wife was 😂😂💀 Kerr said himself how the team felt Jordan was a bully lmfaooo yall Jordan groupies are hilarious

@@ntwalipat2 Facts. And after the last dance Kerr and the rest signed the biggest contracts of their careers with other teams due to playing with MJ. some commentators only quote partial remarks from those players like Kerr who we know said a whole lot more about MJ and the respect he has for him and it made him a better player and coach.
harold thomas Exactly! They need to watch the interviews of the players that were conducted after “The Last Dance” docu-series was released. There are lengthy interviews of Scott Burrell, Will Perdue, Steve Kerr & many more expressing their gratitude to have played with Michael! In a much softer culture, he reminded us of what it takes to win! Watch how many kids are about to be inspired by this documentary!
As someone who thought it was up for debate before I saw this (I'm only 20, never saw MJ play) you're right. Lebrons a great, and I do mean GREAT player but MJ is the goat. Period.
@@goated6146 LBJ is an absolutely fantastic player my friend. But there never was a debate - just some media trying stuff for ratings. Don't trust talk shows or comments. Go in u-tube and watch some games. All will be revealed to you I believe.
The reason companies advertise is so that you run and buy their product. You just saw a 10 hour MJ advert that focussed on his success. No one nit picked his failures in the 80s the way every LBJ game is analysed. The fact that without sport and even with this documentary, every sports network still talks about LBJ everyday shows that there is something there. In your heart you know you are seeing something different. And I did watch MJ
There will never be any other star who competed at the highest level either.MJ is not God...he was just great in his era.The best era of basketball is happening now.
Just imagine for a minute. The player yall hate the most will have most of the nba records, and will be the nba leading scorer . And yall idiots to dumb to just watch one of the greatest players ever continue to dominate the game even in his 17th season
These two will be debating MJ vs Lebron for the rest of their life. However, MJ does not consider LJ his threat. In MJ's mind, his treat passed away early this year.
As someone who watched basketball, was aware an knew of MJ, it showed me something my young mind at the time couldn't have understood. And that is his winning mentality, it was incredible.
Shay is wrong You can't elevate him as a player, since he is accepted as The GOAT And you can't diminish him as a teammate, since he won The Finals every time he played in it
Lmao LeShannon so shook that all these mainstream outlets are finally putting basketball history in its proper context. Which obviously is not good for the 3-6 King.
Jordan's greatness transcends stats, accolades, and championships. His impact globally and economically during a time where the world was not so connected cannot be matched.
I like how Shannon conviently left out the part where Jordans teammates said they understood why Jordan was the way he was. If Jordan was such a bad teammate or bully why didnt any of them ask to be traded🤔
Alexx Allert For real and MJ has constantly given his teammates credit especially to Pippen. Yet LBJ is out here thinking he’s the goat after winning the finals in 2016 bc he felt ecstatic.
@@eazyduzit-tr3nx 2 more finals losses and he will equal the record for most losses in the finals so I really dont get how he gets in this GOAT conversation.
MJ even admitted to stepping over the line. After practice he rang Kerr to apologize but Kerr was like its ok man. And MJ even said that he respected Kerr for stepping up for himself. We don't see Shannon talk about that part of the documentary.
Skip's right here. There's bullying and there's tough love. Bullying is to tear you down and leave you busted. Tough love is to build you up and make you stronger. A bully will laugh at you and try to hurt you. Family (teammates) will bust your chops but at the end of the day they're going to take care of you.
I agree. I can see a coach or GM pulling that but, if you my team mate that's what you are. Part of the team, not the coach or anything else. You get one attempt at the bully moment. The other starters could have played for any other team so, why they responded the way they did is baffling..
@@johnthebaptist9795 if a man can be bullied cause he needs a job means he's a boy.. Men do what they want boys do what they can... No man should never let another man belittle him no matter the level of desperation.
Uhh... How don't you understand this?? Anyone can be bullied, it doesn't matter if you're a "grown man" or not. I'm sure most of those players knew if they didn't bow down to Jordan he could have them replaced in a heartbeat.
Robert Enke killed him self when he was regarded as one of if not the best Goalkeeper in German. Just because you succeed in sport doesn't make you mentally heathy. MJ clearly didn't care for the mental health of his team mates. MJ expects he can go around say what he will about other players/people but when he gets criticised he gets offended.
Shannon... Unc... As a SB winner he should know more than anyone what its like to be around WINNERS with CHAMPIONSHIP MENTALITIES. The bully narrative is something I can't buy into. I believe Jordan would take me to the next level, Lebron would trade me.
Shannon is just salty that this documentary elevated the goat thingy on Jordan. On the past few weeks he has just whined and whined about it try to deminish MJ. Stop with the crying man
Exactly. Although I wouldn't mind other sports documentaries similar being released in the future about other all time greats like wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West and etc just so the younger generation can know how great they were as well

Shannon you are my favorite football player ever- the trash talking & production are undeniable. What photos LeBron got on you? It's not close between MJ & LJ.
Michael Air Jordan is a better passer than "The Choke". I have never seen a pass that was so great by "The Choke". Magic passed the ball in mesmerizing ways.
Shannon will try to nitpick, shame, exaggerate anything he'll see and take the littlest comment out of context like what Kerr said at the end.. bro that's what you got from all that? It's just so sad and desperate
I love Shannon but he just doesn’t understand the value and difficulty of certain skills in basketball. The only thing I can understand arguing about the poll is saying mj was a better passer. I can’t say Lebron is a better passer just more willing so I feel they’re equally skilled at it Lebron is just more willing to pass so we see spectacular passes more often from Lebron but if you look at mis passing it’s top level
I can agree LeBron is a more willing passer, but do you guys remember in the 1988-89 season when for 10 out of11 games The Black Messiah had a triple double and had seven straight games with a triple double.
Does Shannon realize that MJ played PG? He avg. a triple double during that time period? I mean this is kind of sad because MJ's passing ability was just as elite as anyone in NBA's history. It's just sad that some reporters don't do their due diligence about a lot of these players and their abilities. If a coach like Phil comes in after you started to run PG and says MJ we need the ball in your hands less and we want to maximize on your scoring ability and defense ability so we can win more (not saying he would've won playing like LBJ!!! He took them to the Eastern conference finals, remember Scottie had a headache), then it changes the stats and perception of the player. MJ was an elite passer just like LBJ. Just sad that people don't break down film our know the game to the level to properly speak on players skill sets or stats, etc... Again I worked in the game so I get it, but still...
@@jimmyb4361 Wrong. Take a look at Jordan's playoff assist averages up to age 32 with LeBron's at age 31, and Jordan's compare very favorably even with the presence of the triangle offense for most of those playoff games. MJ played the last 24 games of the 1989 season as a point guard and had 12 triple-doubles, averaging 30.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, 10.7 assists & 2.4 steals per game.
@@scoop2448 Exactly, thank you sir. Most people don't know this bit of information so I am glad we can share. Phil/Tex implemented a system that took away from Jordan's abilities believe it or not. His numbers under another coach would've been out of this world, we wouldn't even be discussing this. I would also like to note that without that system I truly believe he wouldn't have won 6 chips, but you have to give a little to win, MJ gave up a lot of himself and his talents to win..
@@jimmyb4361 All LeBron does is inflate his stats by playing the "facilitator" where in fact it wasn't really that effective. 3-6 record is all I'm saying. He doesn't even play defense anymore just so he could focus on the offensive end. No difference than Westbrook stat-padding.
good to see the comments of those who understand the "bullying" that went on in chicago. michael jordan demanded excellence from himself and everyone around him.
Scott Burrell - MJ makes me a better player WTF is Leshannon talking about MJ - Raised by both parents = Alpha LeBrick - Raised by a single mother = Beta/Soft
How is he a beta and soft? Is there a certain amount of rings, MVPs, historical measures, etc... That one must achieve before they are considered GREAT? Tell me what the metrics are, because, yeah...
@Alpha Maximus so tell me why all the young players gravitate to him. Tell me why a lot of them think he's the greatest, and talk about him as such. No teammate has ever said anything about LeBron being anything but a brother, mentor, etc... You must be talking about someone else named LeBron.
Mac 26 Michael said he didn’t push , Bob Acosta’s said it wasn’t a push if you look at Bryon Russell his forward motion had him going and he couldn’t stop on the dime like MJ could, because he didn’t know MJ was going to elevate at that point
James Dawny yes you do see his hand and yes he did know at one point or another he was going to elevate but he didn’t know if he was going to the basket or pulling up for a jump shot as he did. Byron Russell’s forward motion, and anticipation of beating MJ to a spot then MJ sudden stop and elevation made it seem like he pushed off. It’s amazing if you watch that game Bryon Russell never complained to the referee he was pushed and till this day has never come forward and said he pushed me away on the last shot. I haven’t heard it at least, have you
All I see from watching the docu is he's the perfect teammate anyone can ask for. MJ doesn't care if you're a superstar or not as long as you do the work, you will get his respect. The fact that Rodman, Kerr, Phil, and Pippen talks so much value and respect about MJ as a teammate says everything we need to know about their real relationships.
How many players has Lebron traded so far? Wow that is a successfull type of leadership. The results are clear. Also Cook came up yesterday and said Lebron is the clown of the Lakers. Greatest of all time status rofl.

He not only carried the Bulls out of obscurity and also on his back as well as the entire NBA, made it global, and changed the entire culture, that even as great as Kareem was as a pro did not do that. I think every young person who never got a chance to watch jordan play live, watch this documentary and get a small glimpse of why he’s the goat. broken foot 1 year. took off for 18months and still has taken players 17 yrs to beat his scoring points.

Shannon, Michael Jordan's attitude every practices were fierce, such fierce that pushed most of his teammates to the edge that transformed his teammates into fierce competitors/ teammates. This fierceness, can be misconstrued as bullying, can only work with a consistent great player.
Quit it Shannon, U watched MJ's career while it was happening, from day one he had everyone shaking their heads in amazement! Michael's the best athlete/Entertainer we've ever seen! Jordan had no weaknesses!
Shannon's lack of a FATHER shows especially when talking about Jordan who had a strong tough father. Despite being a legend in football his lack of a Male figure molded him into an emotional man similar to Lebron James who also didn't have a father. Hence the difference between Jordan, and guys like Lebron and Shannon. Fathers MATTER in the end.
Demarcus Cousins 3rd Cousin wait so Jordan not emotional lol u killed me. U know shay gets paid to debate can’t agree on everything n he had is grandfather smh
LeShannon really has been annoying since this doc came out. He is one of the many bronsexuals that use feelings over fact. When you play in a SYSTEM, players play different roles for the betterment of the team. That’s why MJ and Kobe never had high assists totals. When you play in LEBRON’s SYSTEM, you have to sacrifice your play for LeBron to get HIS stats.
KreyzAim not even remotely true. They played in the triangle offense where the ball moves and everyone had a role. LeBron is ball dominate, holding on to the ball to long to get his stats. Wade, Bosh, Love.... all sacrificed their games and how they played due to the LeBron system.
Michael Jordan signed off on the release of "The Last Dance" documentary, because of the 2016 comeback from 3-1 down NBA finals win over the 73-9 Golden State warriors, at the hands of LeBron James, and the Cleveland Cavaliers. That reason alone, automatically makes LeBron James the GOAT!!!!
