exactly right. mj wanted the chip every single year to PROVE he was the best. meanwhile, lebron calls himself the best just because he won 1 in cleveland.
The greatest player, with the greatest teammate, along with the greatest rebounder, coached by the greatest coach, had the greatest record, some of the greatest shots, the greatest dunks, played in the greatest era, now has the greatest documentary. Isn’t that something!
Today I finally watch all 10 episodes, this is one of the best documentaries I have ever seen. I am a die hard Kinick fan but this dynasty and MJ are truly inspiring. I have to say when Kobe Bryant was interviewed, I was crying a bit and felt really sad. God bless his family, always.
I was born in 1979. Not quite old enough to remember peak Michael Jackson in the mid 80's as it happened. The Jordan Bulls of the 90's were the closest thing I ever saw to The Beatles. They transcended sports. People who didn't really even care about the NBA watched the Bulls to see Jordan. The ratings of the 1998 Finals are proof of that. When MJ left, a chunk of the fans that elevated the league to its highest heights left with him. No matter what the internet and social media will have you believe, we haven't re-ascended to those heights. The Bulls used to get prime time games on NBC during regular days of the week! Can't wait to see the detail of this.
Curry could definitely be one of this generation's icon like Mike. Yes, there are many basketball figures notable in this era but most non-NBA and non-basketball fans knew of Stephen Curry because of the way he single-handedly changed the game. But no doubt, MJ the GOAT but curry is just like mike when it comes to a player transcending sports.
@@mayattv4986 No he's not. My mother knows who Jordan is, but she doesn't know who Curry is, never heard him. Random people off the street over here don't know who that is, but everybody has heard of Michael Jordan. I live in Europe. EVERYBODY knows who MJ is outside of the United States. Nobody over here except for sports fans knows who Lebron, Curry, etc. are. MJ is world famous like Michael Jackson, like Ali. Everybody knows them because they are truly transcending the sport, they are bigger than their sport. Curry has changed the game, but Jordan changed the whole world, man, not just as a ballplayer, but also as a businessman, as a black man. Basketball is as big as it is worldwide nowadays because of MJ.
That's right. Young Basketball fans today don't understand it. Jordan isn't just the best basketball player ever, he was one of the best athletes of all time. When people try to compare LeHelp James to him, I just laugh. It's like trying to compare Justin Timberlake or Usher to Michael Jackson. America tunes into these games to see WINS, not excuses from lebron and his paid agents in the media. The W is the only stat that matters. And I think they will get it after seeing this documentary
After the first two episodes... Yal can't even begin to imagine how good it is, not only did it not dissapoint, but it blew me away. When it's over it may end up being the greatest docuseries of all time. Only fitting for the greatest player/team of all time
Kevin Rasmussen - Watch that play from the left side angle and you’ll see MJ didn’t push off, he just stopped on a dime and put Bryon Russell on skates.
@Allen Reynolds Oh hells yeah. Is this on Espn? Or Netflix as well ? I remember a year ago or so, Netflix releasing a trailer for this. If i'm not mistaken.
@kub73158 A sport that is recognized worldwide and had a lot of influence in culture. Your the kind of guy that will say to the Beatles it's just music, keep things in perspective.
A lot of people are going to see a different side of Jordan that they’ve probably never seen before...the side of him that was necessary to be as successful as he was/is.
this is so true now, it’s lonely being at the top. his mentality is a blessing and a curse, his relationships and friendships with former players will always be rocky but his legacy is forever
Sasaf 767 the reason why he says that is because whenever someone beats him at anything he has to destroy them at whatever it is. It can take lots of time what ever it may be.
Funny, i have the same accomplishments as you with exception of the last one. Im envious. I remember just wishing i would've seen just one of the Bulls game .
In April 87 we sat on the court behind the basket (they don’t sell those anymore) for $30 and we bought the tickets only in Feb. Bulls vs Hawks. Jordan had 61 and missed a 3 that would have sent it to OT. Nique had 31. Great game.
@@LiLTailormade nah its okay, thanks to your generation's commitments to advance the world, quality of life has improved over the past decades and made things so much easier for us.
this documentary will silence all the noise, comparisons and non-sense debate. get ready, mj and his team will come at y'all haters. these gonna slap straight in yo faces 💪
No debate. Why? State of Chicago NBA record has no loss 6-0. You want more? MJ 6 Finals MVP 6x NBA champ rings. More? If he dis t retire consider 8x NBA champion Chicago all the way 90s!
Dude one day there WILL be a Lebron documentary as well.....The Bad Boy Pistons have a documentary and how many rings did they have? People can be fans. But we can ALL AGREE that when Jordan stepped out there we were looking at something we had NEVER seen before and not quite since he left....and that's coming from a Laker fan.
I'm British, and it's not suprising to hear that basketball isn't huge over here (Soccar is truly massive, a religion you might say...motorsport is my bag), but I've just finished watching this and wow, it really showed me the scale and impact of the Chicago Bulls had over the period. I have always known of the NBA (especially when Space Jam came out! Our only real awareness) and to see all the background/behind the scenes, especiialy from that per-social media period is a real treat. I did really feel for Michael Jordan and Steve Kerr in relation to the loss of thier fathers under such terrible circumstances. I do hope to witness an NBA game in the USA in the future, that would be great, you lot seem to do it differently.
@@toveychow3635 he had Shaq who carried the weight drew double teams rebounded. Then had Gasol, Bynum, Odom, who could all score and rebounded and a good defensive player in either Ariza or Artest. Kobe was good but nowhere near Jordan, Kareem, Wilt, Duncan, Shaq, Bird or Magic
There is already talk about Skip Bayless returning to ESPN with Stephen A Smith to take back the show that he started First Take! I'm not sure what's going to happen in that situation to Shannon and Max but you can't deny the fact that Skip Bayless and Stephen A Smith are definitely the two legends to watch.
_"My mentality was to go out and win... At ANY cost."_ *aka* killer mentality. -Michael Jeffrey "the OG OWNER of the #23 jersey, his airness, the god of basketball, the G.O.A.T." Jordan.
I remember watching game 6 when Stockton's three-pointer rimmed out and gave the Bulls the series. I went into work the next day and my co-worker and I both agreed that we should never doubt the greatness of Jordan. The thing that impressed me most wasn't the NBA Finals that season; instead how they overcame a deficit in the fourth quarter to the Pacers in game 7 of the ECF.
Man I miss those Bulls vs. Knicks duels. I hope the knicks can get back to relevance in the NBA. Though im not a New Yorker ive always wanted to watch a game in the garden.
Man hearing Jordan say it with a smile on his face really makes it hit hard... Six championships in eight years. Unbelievable. No team will ever come close to the Nineties Bulls.
Tbf it's impossible now b/c of the rule changes and allowing players far more mobility than ever before. It's hard to keep a player for more than 5 years at this point.
Thumbs up if you’re not too embarrassed to admit that you either secretly wished, or actually did, shout “What time is it?”...”Gametime!” during the 90s.
Melv Reyes NO DOUBT Lebron is a once in a generation talent that deserves all the acclaim that comes his way...but when I kick back and watch classic games, it’s all 80s. Come to think of it, I think I’ll go search for 87 Mavericks right now, as I’m feeling a Harper, Blackman, Aguirre, and Perkins itch that needs scratching.
People excuse Jordan for losing to the Celtics yet fail to mention Ewing's Knicks had no offense outside of Ewing. Sixers had nobody outside of Barkley yet nobody gives them a pass 🤷♂️
Great to see Kobe come out in one great documentary right before the tragedy that happen this past Sunday January 26, 2020. Prayers for the Bryant family. Amen 🙏🏻
Millennials and Lebron lovers. This is to real for you @ the end of the day winning was more important then BREATHING when it came to Mike no excuses, just go out and win @ any cost (@ 50sec). MJ the G.O.A.T of all ERAS
@@CommentEnthusiast What do you call the Miami Heat??? Please don't say they were pass their primes cause D.Wade, C. Bosh, and LBJ were ALL in their primes. Add Ray Allen, and that's what you call a super team. To illustrate what a super team is, the fornation of that team set back the raptors and the cavs, perreniall playoff teams, for a while.
People who lived and watched this BULLS 90's team, understand that Jordan was the leader and everyone knew it. Now Labron is great, but is he the leader of the pack?
The Pacers series in the ECF that year was legendary. 7 games home team won every game. Reggie making game winner over Jordan. One of the best drama filled ECF of all time.
No other era of basketball will ever be as great. The decade of 1990s NBA will be the greatest basketball we will ever see. Skill, competition, legends.... even DEFENSE! I miss it!
I only knew 1 thing about MJ, that he was some basketball player. But this documentary, the amount of detail they go into, was so amazing and so entertaining. Loved every minute of it. All the athletes who made that great team, their stories the rivalries.... 10/10 👍👍👍
The truth is we will never know who the true goat is. But we do know both are great legends and is among the GOATS. Also, MJ is no longer playing, LBJ is and is still performing greatness for almost 2 decades. Appreciate it before it’s gone.
Exactly. I’m a fairly new nba fan so I thought maybe I’m missing the connection. Eddie Vedder had a good story about to Vegas and back the evening before/ morning of a game with Rodman for a concert. Wouldn’t Timberlake be a child in this era?
Exactly what I said? Wasn't he with that teeny bopper group during 1998 or mickey mouse show? Back then the West coast/East coast Hip Hop was the thing.
Can't wait!!!!! I'm 42 and have been a fan of that team, those players since I was ten. I've seen everything that's ever been put on tape. Even the individual games from all of those season's. I am so pumped to know there's a new documentary on this team.... AMAZING!!! Thanks to those involved
I'm a heatlifer but this man could have won 8 championships easily. The league literally celebrated when he retired the first time. The GOAT should not even be a discussion at this point.
YES!!! These guys don't know what greatness is today! They all want to play together to make winning easier! MJ is greatness! This trailer deserves an award!
@@peterstark4562 I mean they weren't when d Rose was in his prime there but I get what u saying there will never be another bulls team as good as the 90s one
@@michaellarose5827 Yet people like you probably have LeBron as the GOAT when LeBron had a 2011 meltdown in the finals something Jordan never done quit crying please
Michael LaRose KD leaves the Warriors, they go from 3 straight Finals appearances + 2 championships to the worst record in the league. Does that mean KD is the GOAT?
vMufasa dude really thought it was his management that won all those championships, he had to watch as Phil went on to coach the next dynasty w the lakers & Kobe
@@glo1168 lol right? he lucked out with a once in a generation special team and thought he could repeat, while Phil kept winning them championships :) liked your comment btw.
You guys have to remember the ratings for NBA right now is low. Let’s they bring this documentary series and it gets more views the the current games in the NBA. Well that will be an embarrassment
The beginning of this trailer still haunts you and puts a smile on your face, at the same time. It’s like a nightmarish stroll through memory lane turned autopsy report of a once proud franchise gone berserk. I’m glad this won an Emmy!
OMG! I started playing basketball when I was at school after watching Chicago Bulls amazing game... I love this game!!! Thanks Michael and the TEAM for this love!
It was an amazing time. It was beautiful to watch. I believed in Michael and the Bulls so much that I felt like I was a part of it, that my faith and that of fans all over the world, combined as a collective force helping the team achieve greatness.
"Competition was his addiction" -Phil Jackson "Go out there and win, at any cost." -MJ "At North Carolina I challenged him to win every drill." -Roy Williams
I already added this on my reminder on Netflix. They already put up a page on it, with a working title. I read that it's gonna be on Netflix. I can't wait.
I can’t wait for this, it was my time. It didn’t matter what state you lived in you were a bulls fans. MJ fan !!!! Seeing this trailer makes me feel warm and fuzzy. The game is softer now, less drive and less talent. No one compares to Jordan No one !! This IS the greatest team to EVER play.
