Brilliant version - well done Tara - I too play this on the guitar but my voice not as good as your version. I reckon you could try 'New World in the Morning' another by Roger Whittaker would suit your voice.
I left you a comment about this being my mothers favorite song. There was nothing there for my comment to be deleted.. Was it you or is you tube up to its old tricks. I left a comment on another singers site saying what a beautiful song. Thats all i said and you tube deleted it . The singer told me they had not deleted it. Just curious if that was the reason. Its happening a lot apparently.
I am not really into Roger but the way you sing it.....I just sit here an listen....ok, in thoughts do I play Bass. Yer voice is....special....professional.
This song is new to many, due to its age. You do a wonderful job with the Gretch. It was so powerful to ME, I am surprised it has not been released by someone else, commercially. Bravo, Ma'am.
Such a great tune you picked!. I love your voice and accompaniment on guitar. The song has such a wonderful story line and melody. I cannot believe how many of your songs are songs I sing too. .
Your singing is becoming addictive. Your fans are falling in love with you as I told one of your commenters. If you don't think so , check out all of the comments.❤❤❤
I love listening to your songs. Hope you don't mind me asking but would it be possible to see the chords you are playing on future videos. Many thanks.
Yes! I've actually changed my set up for recent videos, this is a common request and I wasn't even thinking about it when I filmed the other ones. If you check out the newer ones, you should be able to see my errors very clearly lol
Operative word being "wanted to" :) I really don't have the performing chops to pull it off. I love the song though, and you knock it out of the park, Tara. Really nicely done, and what a voice! Cheers. @@TaraDunphy
Love the simplicity you bring to this song. Really nice. In the early 80s I'd visit my grandma and grandpa outside of Hilo HI and the radio station had this in their rotation. So, it always reminds me of beautiful HI and my grandparents. Thanks!!
Never heard a female simg this song before. As usual you have put your stamp of talent upon it. I noticed the framed photos on your wall. I thought I recognized Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn. Had to zoom in on the other photo. Quickly I saw it was Wanda Jackson. She was my favorite country singer growing up. I have I beleive most of her albums. In the near future I will request a spg or two if it is ok with you.😊😊😊
Yep, that's absolutely fine with me. I love Wanda. I was lucky enough to play in her band for over ten years when she would play up in Canada, right up until her retirement. She's a wonderful person and entertainer.
Your voice...your musical prowess and your choice of song(s)...brings back my days of youth---with all the passion and angst of my yester-years; Both sad and beautiful. And as a lie here, pushing 70 with nothing left to do---'cept watch my country--- and my son, go off to war...I thank you for the memories of both Love And War. Peace.
