We moved last year with a 6, 4 and 1 year old. It’s okay to take a break from school and not stress yourself out. They will be okay. Read to them and do bible. This is the time to life school. Contributing to the family and helping with the move also teaches good life skills. Give yourself some grace. No one can do all the things every year. You got this.

Such an excellent point about life schooling. I think that’s exactly what we’re going to do instead of me being stubborn, lol.

The struggle is real! You are so not alone! I've got 5 kiddos. Oldest is 10, youngest is 9 months. I'm constantly looking for areas to prune and cut back on. Everything feels like baby steps! BUT, I tell myself what Dana K. White says, progress is progress!!! I've learned to celebrate each baby step! I am making progress and constantly learning how to do things better and simpler. We all are! I wouldn't sweat your dizziness/health issues too much if I was you... your body is so not even back to normal yet!! I think it takes my body about a year to really get back to "normal". 😂 You are such a blessing and encouragement. Praying for you! ❤❤❤

Awww thank you. That means the world to me 💕 and you’re so right, progress is progress….even if it’s slow progress 🤣 and don’t even get me started on how long it takes me to get back to normal, lol

You’re going better than you think! You grew and birthed a human this year!! That alone is EVERYTHING. Homeschool is such a blessing, it allows our family’s to ebb and flow with real life. This year has been one of our best because I pulled way back for my youngest and allowed my oldest more autonomy and he has taken off with that. I’m definitely still learning as we go, and try not to put too much pressure on myself (expectations usually lead to feelings of failure for me) 😅 Do what you can, the basics and bible are what is needed and will help them grow and flourish!! ❤❤ good luck on the move!!

Praying for rest for you! It's a season and you got this with God holding you through it! Moving is exciting when you go to a new place. I did it dosing covid and loved it

I think it depends on how many, how “needy” vs sleepy the baby is, and the ages/stages of your other children. We’re getting ready for a move and I’m praying it’s smooth sailing. The last time we moved while homeschooling we had a 1st grader and preschooler so it was pretty simple. Now we have a 6th, 3rd, kinder, and just turned 3 year old.

I agree there’s something about that 5th child! I don’t know why but I just took forever to get a rhythm down after the 5th in a different way than with the others

I think it’s seasonal!!! But I’m glad ur enjoying ur daughter!!! We prefer AAR to AAS and we don’t use AAS!!! We decided not to use AAS!!! We ended the yr with science going into next yr!!! Ur kids are young enough for them to catch up with content based subjects like science!!! I don’t worry about content based subjects until high school!!! I plan and if it happens awesome and if it don’t I access it to see if we will do it next yr or something else!!! Glad the hydration is helping and praying for you!!! We are spontaneous but that’s extreme but I believe you can do it!!! I’ve learned that we can explore and homeschool but shorter days at times but that’s why I love yr round homeschooling!!! I’m glad our homeschool yr ended before Easter!!!

Did you do all about spelling black and white version (old version) or the new one? We are about to finish level 3 of the old version and it seems more straightforward (we also don't use the cards) then the new version with all the activities.
