I always assumed that he shriveled because we take his great rune, which greatly increases health. Without the benefits, he's small and sickly. But I didn't consider him expelling all of his blood! That does make a lot more sense with the loss of his omen features.

I think so too people in the comments are saying he just used up all his omen blood and stuff but when you first walk up to him to see him in that state there are little gold rays dissipating which I think his him getting grace

That's what confuses me the most because even if we continue the cycle through the basic ending it still requires ol galaxy fish to die. Or was the elden beast like radagons true form

By that I mean elden beast was disguised as radagon. Probably not but tinfoil hat theory of the day

I think the Greater Will wanted the player character to become the new consort to Marika but Radagon tried to make it so that no other Elden Lord would exist, hence the thorns in front of the tree. I think it also realises that it can't manipulate you like it did with Radagon and therefore sends the Elden Beast as one last attempt to destroy you. IDK that's just my theory on it.

@@facundovera3227 Maybe it wanted us to fight, not necessarily win. As Gideon said, The Greater Will wants the Tarnished to keep fighting forever. Most likely, so the erdtree could have souls to eat. Its plans were most likely to die at the hands of Radagon, but when he got killed, it had to pull the Elden Beast

Yeah margit at stormveil doesn't show up if you kill morgott in leyndell however, the illusory villager stays regardless, even after the erdtrees burnt unless the patched it

Could be like Mohg in the sewers or, to some degree, Godfrey the First Elden Lord - possibly preset illusions (not unlike phase 2 Rennala)

@@rishg134 Sewer Mohg I thought was a Dante & Virgil thing where both of them don't want people to get the chaos flame: Morgott to protect the erdtree, and Mohg because you can't have a dynasty if the world's been nuked to oblivion.

Yeah that's a great point, mohg isn't tryna be king of the ashes, he needs subjects. This is a great theory

malenia is pretty straightfoward but thats just my opinion going off what i know about her. and i dont see what heroic acts shes done. besides defeating godrick(not much of a feat, more like whipping a beat dog). she "beat" radahn which caused a nuclear explosion forever damning the region, and i agree though i find every demi god interesting in their own way,

@@TheHonoredMadman Also about Ranni she doesnt sacrifice her friends for the greater good,what happened to Iji and Blaidd is outside her control. Malenia fought for Miquella's vision of the world,basically a version of the golden order without the extreme racism,you can see Misbegotten praying at statues of her and Miquella,she is also like Radagon in a lot of ways but thats another topic. I think its very interesting theort and i am inclined to agree that Godfrey rune passed down to Morgott,i am thinking if the great runes are decided from birth or Marika actually tought wich one she was gonna give to each demigod,i also really like how Morgott rune is the purest and the only one not corrupted or degraded.

Isn’t Marika directly referenced as being Numen? And Radagon as having some link to the giants? It’s a shame because I quite like this theory.

@@udobybreak6393 I’m also seeing the Numen Rune saying, “The Numen are said to have come from outside the Lands Between, and are in fact of the same stock as Queen Marika herself.” Be that as it may, perhaps they are descended from the dragons. They’re elf-ish and the Onyx/Alabaster Lords are elf-ish too, so maybe they’re two halves? But while the Onyx Lords have skins of stone like dragons, they come from a meteor. The only unarmored Numen I’m aware of is Marika, who does look stone-y but she’s also carrying the Elden Ring within her…
