Ahhhh so true, when it just faded to black with both their laughter echoing just warmed our hearts!!!

Right!? that was definitely hard to watch. Even though he got what he deserved since seconds earlier he was about to sign Joel off of his life subscription. It still has haunting hearing his pleads and cries. The puns and Ellie teasing Joel though were spot on!

yeah in the video game playing as Joel I felt like a badass killing 10 raiders at this ambush. But here, it's so rough listening to the guy crying for his mom. Jesus.

True, he was trying to survive as well, but leaving him alive would've been stupid.

Oh my goodness, the part where he started pleading and crying... It felt so conflicting, he seemed like just a kid, and knowing what had to be done, what Joel certainly would do... Oooffff

Thanks for the info! I'm sure that, considering the food scarcity they're likely experiencing, that canned ravioli could feel like a delicacy... Remember Tess and Joel's reaction when Ellie was eating a sandwich? Them being able to still find canned foods would be a vital part to their survival, especially if they're not living in a QZ!

@@OfficialMediaKnights The cans themselves are a useful tool as well in a world like this. Repurpose the metal. Leave the lid attached to wash things and drain the water, store objects, use to make rattles for traps, turn into a mini stove, too many uses to list. Made some nice bombs in the game 💥

Ohhhhh so true!!! That's another reason it's important to be resourceful, guess we know who to hit up in case of an apocalypse now 😂

@@NxCmp Fishing lures, fishing hooks, barbs for arrows, rudemantary knives, you can boil water in them to make it safe to drink, the list is basically endless. Also yeah, canned foods can last a long time. However, as long as its not moldly or rancid, its still a good idea to boil the food inside for quite a long time, just to make sure whatever foodbourne illnesses that might be present are killed. And yeah, 20 years is a long time. However, there are people eating 70+ year old World War 2 rations that you can find on youtube. Theyre rare, but if packaged and preserved properly, theyre still safe to eat.

I just looked this up because of this episode and my mind is blown. I expected it to last maybe 2 years tops. But good to know, in any case.

In my time zone the episodes get released early on monday morning ( 4 or 5 am, I think, not quite sure), so I always have to wait untill after work before I can watch them. Or if I'm on a business trip again and can't watch it in the hotel, I have to wait even longer. So watching a brand new episode on my own couch on the weekend is a real luxury for me.

We hope you enjoy the reaction! Thank you for commenting 😄 It definitely feels different when you are playing. I think they are saving those horror like moments for the infected. Although the ambush had some great tension in it this is just the set up for the conflict we are about to see. If you remember the game then you know that comes next. Next episode is definitely gonna rev the engine even more!

Yeah it definitely was more action packed in the game, but having that moment where Ellie almost kills to save Joel with her own first ever gun was a very good addition. Also showcased some humanity in the hunters to make us feel the weight of their actions.

You have to remember that it is a game and you can be hit by bullets and still fight your way out, unless your hit points fall to zero...in real life if Joel was shot then he is gonna be hurting, and if they had as many guys on him in the show as the game, he wouldn't stand a chance...they would just surround him and take him out easily...the show has to be a little more realistic in their fight scenes.

Right?! At least we only have to wait til Friday!!!

Thank you so much for such a wonderful comment, you have no idea how much this means to us! The Last of Us was a truly fantastic game, and has the fanbase to show for it. The thing is that everyone has different expectations from adaptations, and sadly, there are some who want it to be an almost scene-by-scene remake, and doing that, sticking to how the game was down to a t, would simply not have worked in a TV medium. Every medium is different, and we have to know when to let go just enough to realize that a lot of these changes were made to accommodate that. Of course not everybody has to like this, it's totally reasonable, what matters is that the essence of the story is intact, and in this case it is! If we wanted an exact copy, we could always just play the game again haha. This way, with the changes, we still get to be surprised and experience this beautiful story all over again!

I agree. I stopped watching several reactors who were complaining and have stopped watching them altogether.

I'm honestly thinking about replaying the remake that just came out again because of this! It was so good. What a way to make an adaptation work! These guys know what they are doing. Next episode is gonna be insane!

They have two very different ways of arousing Joel's affection. And Bella Ramsey is awesome. I couldn't play the game because I don't want to see another Ellie.

Absolutely, it made such a difference that ultimately adds more dimension to Joel's relationship with both girls as well! Haha I'd still give the game a try, Game Ellie is also awesome!!

So many references! And recreated sequences. It was fantastic. Nods to some mechanics in Part 2 like the hunters calling out each others names etc. Absolutely loved those small details. And loved to see Joel and Ellie start to trust each other more and more!

@@VoodooMcVee Definitely healthier if the alternative is you using your mouth to suck, but it requires extra tubing to blow into and air tight rags that can create a decent seal to prevent the air you are blowing into from escaping. The "suck" method can be done in a healthy way with a one-way bulb attachment and doesn't require extra hose or rags

@@VoodooMcVee In new cars, you can't syphon from gas entry port without learning if it has just an anti-syphon screen or a roll over valve. And learn how to deal with each. OR You need to go under the hood to get it from the fuel injection system/rail valve and know where that particular car's fuse and relay is (Under the dashboard/some car have engine box under hood), short two pins on the relay with a wire, and turn the KEY/jumpstart the modern car. (Which also means it needs a working battery)

Nah! I think it was the other way around haha a they were already hiding in that building. Joel followed the same train of thought. I don’t think they were on the same floor but they heard the noise that Joel made when he broke the glass. Once they heard that they started looking around 😃

We loved the casting choices from the get go. But seeing them after almost an entire season I gotta say they've really solidified themselves as the live action version of Joel and Ellie in my head. They delivered some moments that were beyond my expectations and added their own twist. They are both super talented people and we're glad they get to be Joel and Ellie 😄
