Hi !! I've got a gamer pc MSI Stealth 16 Studio (laptop) with CPU Intel i9-13900H, graphic card GeForce RTX™ 4070, on Windows 11 ans 32GO RAM. You advice me to put how many fps for "The Last Of Us" ?
Hey, I just really wanted to commend you for being so thorough in your coverage. Your analysis and description of what every setting does is awesome, but it's even more amazing that you keep going back to these games after a few patches to keep your information up to date. I don't see very many online sources doing this, so I just wanted to say I appreciate it. Subbed.

@@renardruse9754 game is not very bad optimized, many projects have more terrible optimization. On rtx 4070 get 90-95 fps in TLOU is possible, but more is unlikely
This game is so broken, still underperforming on my R5 5600 & RTX 4070. I messed with all of the presets, Low, Medium, High, Ultra all give me the same FPS. So weird. Other games work perfectly fine.
Just get a DLSS 3 mod and you won't have to optimize as much. I went from everything to medium at 5120x1440p 75fps to 180 lol. The gains are insane with this mod.
Honestly, I used to go to digital foundry for all the optimized settings but you seem to be working for a higher standard of graphical fidelity than Alex understandably. And I appreciate your settings much more rather than just throwing my new high rig into full overdrive I can get great graphical quality and excellent performance well done
Tbh most of the modern games of u have a good rig you can max out n cap fps at 60 and turn on vsync n also freesync n motion blur n uncapping fps in single player games is a blasphemy tbh u don’t need 144fps while playing tlou
@@ttghhgg1918 I’m pretty good with the 60 fps standard and usually keep it at that only every now and again bumping the cap to 75 or 100-120 for something really kinetic like Cold War or Deus ex and then optimizing from there. I just mean Alex over on DF is usually working with a more mid range rig and optimizing from there for a much broader general audience where this channel seems to be pushing that bill a little farther and just overall giving a better representation of what is really necessary even on a high end rig that can “just run everything” and just make it run a bit better and a bit cooler without sacrificing very much at all
Could you please mention the resolutions at which these optimizations were done. Or can these settings be used at any resolution? I assume in this video it was 1440p. Awesome video btw!
Hey, man. My normal FPS is above 80+ with DLSS balanced for 1440p but it keeps dipping into low 40 FPS all the damn time. Any way to fix this? Im getting a headache just from turning around or running inside houses.
Thanks for the tips man, helped me get my frametimes smoother on my 4090. My card may be overkill but every bit helps to make for a smoother experience at higher resolution.
No, Survivor needs optimization. He isn’t doing any new guides because there’s no way to make the game run decently without developer intervention or the DLSS mod, other than reducing the settings as much as you can bear to have the “best” possible performance
Currently, No optimization guide can improve Jedi Survivor's performance , even with everything on Low you'll get FPS drops and noticeable stuttering because of the poor CPU usage.
@@redclaw72666So the game can barely hit 70+ fps in CPU limited scenarios on overclocked 10900K, even without RT and you think it does not need CPU optimization? I mean, such a config should easily run it at 100+ fps with RT! Then it can be called an optimized game.
Great video! Thank you for this! The game appears to be running better than its original release. It does need more patches though for optimizations and image quality but overall it's better and playable. Subbed.
I'm running the game at 90-120 FPS, but it feels like it's 60 fps or lower. I don't understand why this is? I've tried disabled V-sync and a bunch of other things, but it still feels like crap.
Wow, this is really comprehensive. Thanks for taking the time. Your settings helped me get a locked 60 fps at 4k in the heavier areas of the game. On 1.1.2 with these settings 7900 XT 4k native. Game looks absolutely stunning in HDR.
I have really good performance for the most part but it always starts lagging whenever I get into almost combat encounters. This makes me think it’s a cpu issue but I have almost every cpu intensive setting lowered to no avail. My processor is a i5 11400 is there anything I can do to circumvent this?
thanks for the vid! unfortunately it didn't help with r3600+2070super pc and i had to lower the graphics even more to run this stupid pc port, yet still i'm having drops to like 30 fps sometimes
I am waiting for the day, when I would be able to play it on my Rtx 3050 (4GB ) LAPTOP with 5600H and 16 GB ram. May be its not possible but if some miracle happen and they fix it so much that it works on high settings on my specs 😂😂(wich is not even working on a 8GB vram gpus).
How many months has this been out now? It's still beyond a joke that it runs this badly. And that we have to optimize ourselves. The gaming ind has become a laughing stock.
@@khaled8671 you could say the exact same thing about fsr or any technology... thing is that people like to gloss over problems that can occur despite Nvidia's tech. Like Ray Tracing? Just ignore explosion bugs and noise problems that can occur in Cyberpunk. Weird glowing bugs on DLSS? Who cares, let's just zoom in to a trashcan to see how great DLSS works there...
Wait, I might have this wrong so correct me if I am, but from the looks of it, if you're an AMD user, using FSR 2 Quality produces a more stable image compared to native + TAA due to TAA's artifacting?
tq so much. with being limited to 6GB vram 1660 ti. i was running it lowest everything with fastest texture streaming 😂😂. Optimized with your settings and change some with my personal preference. Game runs like butter but in intense area like open world rain environment drops to 30fps (even with low settings) Plan on getting a better GPU in the future
Its still a huge issue that in some completly normal areas you can get massive framedrops to around 10-12 fps unplayable while having to fight the enemy but at other times completely stable 70 fps. I hope they keep improving the game so i can have a completely non issue playthrough and not having to force myself through parts of the game or wait for updates for it to fix itself.
I have exactly the same issue. Sometimes it drops below 30fps. When i quit the game and load at the exact same point of the game it runs find on 75 fps..
@@sjoepdabbadoebie Changing the Ai setting does help a bit when against a lot of enemies. But besides that it seem using a memory reducer also helps with the lag spikes if you are hitting 100% I can somewhat play the game smooth enough for me to aim and play well in stressful situations after this.
Hi, has anyone played this game on a 1070 Ti, I'm thinking about buying it, but again I don't want to play with 40fps, ideally medium 60+fps, I heard that this game is very VRAM hungry and now with the new patch I don't know how it would work with my graphics, CPU R5-5500 16Gb ram 1070 Ti 8Gb
This game even on menu option I am having 100% CPU utilization. How can I fix that? Or is this a port issue? Because I've seen some posts that capping fps to 60 can reduce it, is it the only option?
I think they just need to add a good implementation of DLAA to fix the usual TAA issues that so many modern games have. DLSSTweaker can force DLAA but its never perfect that way since its not officially implemented.
ahhh i love this chanel you are the only one who know how games work ....imagin a game on ultra quality gives you 55 50 fps but you can get the same quality with more fps like 75 80 ...thanx for the content keep going
Привет, смотрю твои ролики из России. Пожалуйста, показывай оптимизированные настройки в самой игре или хотя бы в правильном порядке. Очень сложно переводить названия настроек на родной язык.
Thank you for your hard worked i followed your RES4 Remake guide and it made it look so good on a RX6600XT. Playing with settings always drives me insane.
Awesome guide, thanks! I followed your suggestions and the only thing I changed where the reflections cuz they looked pretty bad on low. I went with high there and I've been running the game between 60-80 fps on my 3060 ti
I have a 3060 130w laptop and this game struggles to run above 40 fps with these optimized settings, and in some areas, it drops to 25fps like in the rain scene
yo same laptop, this game runs horrible lol i can only manage to squeze 50 fps without making it look like minecraft At least playing with a control makes it not feel as bad.
LOL if i play a game that is famous for its graphics and story more than its gameplay@@Froggy23442 I will never play it it low or even medium settings just to squeeze more fps i rather not play it at all, I swear i bought it last month and after 2 days i asked for a refund, it's a shame that this game run this badly, i mean look at the god of wear or uncharted not very different from the last of us but they run smoothly, well it is what it is 😏
@@LightoftheQuran.7 ended up refunding it yesterday then a friend told me the 'legal' version runs better, i installed it and i can get around 80-90 fps on max settings, my guess is something on steam/epic games messes it up, im not sure if it has Denuvo which could be why the 'legal' version runs better without it
the volumetric effects add a lot to the game atmosphere though, albeit with a lot of performance impact, the cost is dependence on the location but I'd suggest keep it as high as much as you can bear
I've regained my ability to love gaming again and you quickly became my favourite youtube channel. Such good work and in a detail I have not seen yet on youtube anywhere. Thank you!
