The Last Train to Stop at Sheffield Victoria Ever? 

In this video, we capture what could possibly be the final train to ever stop at the former Sheffield Victoria Station and travel on the Deepcar Branch at the Sheffield end of the remaining famous Woodhead Line which use to travel from Sheffield Victoria to Manchester London Road 'Now known as Manchester Piccadilly'
Unfortunately due to freight ceasing on this line at Stocksbridge Steelworks, it has made the line redundant for months and with no future plans to run trains on this line 'as of writing this' and with a lack of route knowledge and overgrowing trees, it leaves the line with an uncertain future. Which makes this tour possibly the last train to ever run on this line!
The tour that would run on the former Woodhead Line for possibly the last time was 'The Last Chance?' running from
Finsbury Park - Doncaster - Barnetby - Grimsby Light Railway - Barnetby - Gainsborough Central - Worksop - Deepcar Branch - Worksop - South Yorkshire Joint Line - Doncaster - Finsbury Park
Operated by Class 60 60015 & Class 66 66004 in 'I am a climate hero' green livery
Finsbury Park to Doncaster & back would be hauled by a Class 90.
We see the tour crossing over Wicker Archers at the former Sheffield Victoria Station where the crew of the Class 60 stop to take photos for what could be the last ever train to stop at the famous disused station, this being the first time in over 10 years that this famous shot has been achievable with the place being overgrown with trees but sadly could be the only time with the lines uncertain future.
We then travel further where we capture the Class 66 heading back towards Sheffield at Parkwood Springs as it gives tones on what could be the final time the line ever sees a train!
There are thankfully campaigns to use the line for a regular half hour shuttle train from Sheffield to Stocksbridge by the 'Don Valley Railway', fingers crossed these campaigns can be successful as it really would benefit Sheffield & the surrounding communities.
