This is probably my favorite game franchise of all time. Soul Reaver was the first game I ordered from Amazon and then had my brother mail to me in Japan. Among other technical marvels of that game was the fact that it had no loading time. Once you got into the game, even teleporting cleverly hid their loading screens. You could play from the beginning to the end and never see a loading screen. Meanwhile, SMT V: Vengeance, in 2024, has loading screens in the middle of their cinematics.🙄 The depth of Soul Reaver is incredible as well. It wasn't until years later that I learned you could actually earn faction with the humans in the game to access their city and a hidden boss. There was just so much to the game. The programmers were practically sorcerers back then. Great review. I hope some day we'll get a collection of all the games for modern consoles or PC. Instead we'll probably get a low-budget reboot, but that's because we're in the darkest timeline. After all, we're getting a Time Bandits remake soon, followed by a Spaceballs sequel.
@@TheKHC My brother constantly sends me screenshots of his conversations with Grok. I refuse to make artificial intelligence serve me. Between that and my prosthetic implants due to massive injuries, I'm hoping to ally myself with the machines in the coming apocalypse. Either that or I'll join them on the robot reservations before the war ever starts. 🦿
Thanks for your time and effort to play this amazing franchise, and thanks for the time and effort of everyone which was involved in creating this superb tale of vampires and vengeance, especially to Amy Hennig. Thanks for everything, forever.
"bought by embracer groups" and "better dying than being revived by some business execs with no idea what they're dying" said back to back like that... huh
@@TheKHC they did something, they committed corporate suicide, you didn't heard about it? they basically bought a bunch of dead studios and development groups with no plans, ideas or goals, and hope to god someone would look at their assets and give an investment to make a game, but they only had the leftovers and no one given them the time of the day and they give a massive lay-off and declared bankruptcy
I did hear of that, and I did mention it in the video, or at least I acknowledged that the series is dead for good, but it's not for a lack of trying. The intent behind embracers actions was good, it's just that they didn t have the mesns to back them up
@@TheKHC i have some advice, maybe instead of saying "oh this is good oh thats that and that makes that." why not look deeper into the art like subtext, cultural themes or whatever, like listen writing a script isn't easy, i am not trying to be mean, you can be creative, but it doesn't mean the video is bad just that it feels like you rushed a bit, but hey maybe next time you can show us everything you got...its a good video but like it doesn't feel right, if you get me...again not trying to be mean, i know how much effort is needed for this and how long this must have taken so take that into account.
